Further Info/Tips

There are two "tricks" that can be extremely beneficial as there is a common trend experienced by 7-Eleven App users: 1) If you receive an error processing your credit/debit card, you can purchase a 7-Eleven Gift Card in-store and apply the credits instantly onto the App. 2) You do not need to use the funds on your App to pay for the fuel, you can lock-in the price and pay via Cash or Card at the checkout saving the hassle of constantly topping up, gift cards, etc.

Master131 spends a lot of time creating and maintaining the script at Project Zero Three that we all know and love.

App open and forces you to update at Google store?

  • Anyone else google script email notifications not working?

    • yeah, regularly. I just delete them.

      Script still works fine.

      • Sorry do you mean you delete the script and re-do it?

I cant even find the original post with instructions.

        • i tried redoing the script but still got the errors come thru, which isn't an issue for me as i delete the errors.

Yeah, i cant find the post with instructions also…….

    • Yeah i gave up on the script.
I found android app www notifier handy. You select an area of the page and it lets you know when it changes (good for price changes on it6her sites too).

  • Anyone able to get Nox working?

I've uninstalled everything and reinstalled lastest version 6.2.8.1. Using emulator version 7.1.2.
Problem i'm having is Nox keeps crashing and not responding. Anyone know a fix?

    • Same problem :\

Trying Android 4.4.2 now - can't even sign into Google Play via Nox, no key presses detected!!

Nox has become such a hassle..

      • having probs with all 3 emulator versions.
was working perfect previously. then i got the error where i was stuck on 99%
so i uninstalled and reinstalled latest version.

        Problems started from then

Hey, sorry if this question has already been answered, the modded app keeps asking to update to the latest version, when info to the Play store, the option only says to open, when I open the app from the app store I get the same message, please update to the latest version. Is there a current link to avoid this? Thanks in advance

    • +4

You're right, the question had been answered here in this thread. You can find it

      • -1

Can you please direct me to the page? I have searched everywhere, Thanks

        • +2

If you've already searched everywhere you should have the answer.

Hit "View All" then search the page for your keywords.

        • I search for APK, use the "View All" that shiznit mentioned.

Saved $37 with the 0.99 (U95) today. Special thanks to Master131. Cup of coffee on the way… 😉

    • -1

      I hope it wasn’t a honeypot.

      • My friend saved $42..
        I saved $32 :)

        I don't think it's a honeypot.. probably testing at a new site?

      • +1

I only go to 7-11 because of this "system". The worst scenario is be banned, get my money back, and then decide if I will create a new account or not. I don't think they should make things so difficult. I believe 99% of the clients won't be going to 7-11 if it was not for the "system". It is not like they have the cheapest petrol everywhere without the discounts.

    • I haven't seen this price anywhere?

      • +2

i was a few days ago.

Happened at around midnight when i was sleeping otherwise, would have also locked in.

        • my spidey sense was tingling and woke up at 3am spending 30 min trying to lock in the price only to find that it expired 10 min before I got up…

I didn't bother going back to bed, had to be up at 4:30… that was a long day

          • +1

@nerd1: Is it this thread or project zero that is your first website to check when you wake up? For me it’s OzBargain front page :P

            • @sween64: I swear I wake up randomly at night to check projectzerothree then Ozbargain - like now at 4am

It's a forced habit now for the cheapskate in me

            • @sween64: OzBargain deals page, I skip the front page. Too many good deals expire by the time it gets there.

  • The webpage by master131 no longer works?

      Working for me

      • Oh thanks. Was just taking longer than usual and timed out eventhough other websites were fine. All good now

You can use the mod'd app. Since it's Boost, i assume it includes a sim card which you can activate and get a spare number to obtain another 11-7 a/c.

    • +1

      $20, but yeah, still cheap

      • oops thanks, fat fingers.

Just filled up and paid 99.9 for u95. Price on board was 1.697

Man in the shop was gobsmacked and asked me how I managed to get that price as he has not seen it in a very long time. He said he has never in his life working at that petrol station into years seen such a big discount.

    🤫🤣

    • How large was your tank/How much did you save?

      • Filled 66 litres

      • I saved approx. $46.

        • +1

I am filling up 2 cars tonight before it expires with a 0.99 lock for 105 litres, so should save around $60. Hopefully that gets me by until the next cheap price ;)

          • @billy_bob: hi , just wondering , will the attendant allow 1 lock for fueling 2 cars ?

            • +3

@ozjimjam: Yes, I do it all the time. Just park both cars either side of the same bowser and use the same hose to fill both, just make sure not to put it back in the holder after filling first car as it resets, then you can't use the cheap lock for the second fill.

              • @billy_bob: Thanks for the info. Is there a limitation to how much you lock in though? In the app I can only add up to $80.

So lets say I lock in 60L @ $80 but fill up 66L do I still get the discount on the extra 6L or pay pump price?

                • +1

@Preet: you pay pump price for the extra

                • +1

@Preet: Yes you can top up over $80, I have $125 on one of my accounts.

                  • @billy_bob: Thanks mate. Will have to do that with mine

        • I mean he saved — not I saved; I wish I saved $46.

    • +2

Just saved $64 with 4 20litre jerry cans.

      • Cashier must have been really impressed

  • +2

damn these prices aren't going down, U95 hasnt really changed since april 24th (besides the hours it dropped to 0.99)

    • Yeah my prediction of it dropping for the election was rubbish.

  • My local bp going up to 166c for u91. So im guessing we are at bottom of cycle atm and prices are 140s haha. Melbourne

West Ryde worker wasnt surprised to see my 99c coupon and asked if I was from 'Queensland". Now I know where some ozbargainers reside…

    • Haha did he honour it? I'm actually planning to go tonight.

      • He did, no questions asked apart from me being a queenslander haha

        • Last time 0.01 cent, that guy also honour it and he knew where I am coming from.

    • +1

I just redeemed mine before, the attendant was like "wow you saved $35! You're a lucky man."
I told him about my road trip to qusensland during the week 🤣

      • +1

Haha, I told him same story 🤣

        • He's just a troll haha.

  • Saved about $20 (on a 35L pump) and the cashier was so impressed he took a photo of my voucher for his friends to see.

I'm in Melb and it was hilarious because the attendant asked where I locked in and I made it up.. she said to me that 3 other people got the same lock in as me. hahah

  • Just saved $43.88 on 55.5L with the 99.9c/l u95.
    Bowser price was 178.9!! Outrageous!

    • OMG i wonder why the price is skyrocketing?

  • +5

Just saved $85.32 on 108 litres of fuel. Unbelievable.

    • Wow that’s a record 😁. I was able to fill up 45l only. Saved $27

  • Projectzero site down for anyone?

    • Yep been down since about 7am for me

    • +6

Last night was redeeming my 99.9c fuel voucher at an unfamiliar store.. the fuel attendant got mad at me and brought up the projectzerothree site on their site and asked if it looked familiar

I think we might need to change the URL periodically..

      • +7

why are they getting salty? It's not coming out of their paychecks…

      • what did you say?

      • Wow really may I know the location plz?

            • +1

@andyman1908: Just got served at West Ryde with my guy with 132.4 u98 price. He commented that I got a cheap price and I was on my way.

      • +11

I would have said no, and started asking question about the site.

Then i would have thanked him, telling him i will be back next week with a fuel lock all thanks to his recommendation.

      • +2

Feel free to leave them a nice Google review https://maps.app.goo.gl/aCATUmkdPpT7itAW6

No need to change URL. This is a public forum visible too all. That guy who works at 7/11 guaranteed also uses it.

Off topic, but the comments about fuel quality caught my attention… I lived in a country where petrol station owners used to add stuff to make petrol cheaper (for them, not for the drivers). And, yes, the government used to monitor the quality from time to time (and it was not very difficult for the owners to bribe the agencies and make sure the petrol was "approved"). I don't know anything about fuel quality in Australia and how the Government agencies guarantee that consumers are getting real petrol, but sometimes I think that the only difference between Australia and developing countries is the awareness of corruption, not the corruption itself.

Some people seem really dumb believing that everything is right because "the Government has the control". I've seen so many evidences of corruption in Australia that I don't even know where to start. Actually, I can talk about how easier it is to have your driver's license if you rent a car from a school whose instructors know the examiners, and how easier it is to have a professional registration (AHPRA) if you know someone who works for the Government, or the right person to give them a call.

I really wonder about fuel quality, and I really don't believe that the Government has it under control… at all…

      • How come they got mad?

        • +9

They said their voucher scanner didn't work.. only when they saw the price.

Stood my ground and magically their voucher scanner worked again..
          :/

            @cwongtech: Scums.

          • +1

@cwongtech: i always show the bar code portion only. not the lock-in price. is it helpful?

            • @georgev: Good tip!

            • @georgev: I’ve tried that but most of the attendant scroll up to see the price, I think mainly to make sure it’s a lock barcode and not a barcode for something else.

            • @georgev: My attendant took phone out of my hand and scrolled the screen to see the price before scanning

              • +1

@errorius: If someone takes the phone out of my hand without my permission, they'd have a tough lesson to learn

                • @barozgain: I used to scroll down so only the bar code was visible too. Never had anyone try and scroll up.

                  • +2

@Levathian: I've had attendants try to grab my phone to scan but I've just tightened my grip and they've got the hint so brought the scanner across.
I don't want to hand over my phone to some random…

            • @georgev: I'm pretty sure they can see your locked price on their terminal after they scan it in.

            • @georgev: How's that work?

Just screenshot it, and show it zoomed in?

      • Mad? You mean jealous that he missed out…..
Anyhow, I'd be like whats it you, punk - MYOFB, and do you what you f'en get paid to do!
