    U offer extra warranty ??

    • +3

Yes, when you add to cart. 1 year and 2 year.

      • +2

does the extra warranty come with the same Complementary Courier Pickup and Return that the initial 12 months comes with?

        • +4

          Yes

          • +1
          • +1

@QQQ - CatchOfTheDay: Is it a Toshiba extended warranty or third party. If third party who is the support provided by?

          • +1

@QQQ - CatchOfTheDay: Toshiba's warranty says: "This limited expressed warranty (“Warranty”) applies to Toshiba branded
Notebook Computers (“Product”) imported and sold by Toshiba (Australia)) Pty Limited (“Toshiba”) through it’s Authorised Resellers, Retailers and Distributors, …"

Is CatchOfTheDay either Authorised Reseller, Retailer or Distributor?

            • +1

              @AlexF: Yes

              • +1

@QQQ - CatchOfTheDay: Hi QQQ, I've just purchased the laptop but forgot to add the extra warranty.
Just wondering if it's still possible to add it now?

                • +3

@megaloman: Why don't you just purchase the warranty directly with Toshiba instead of CODs 3rd party warranty? As Manufacture warranty is actually > 3rd party warranty.

Also, with Toshiba's own warranty (visit their website) you can decide whether or not you need it during the first year of warranty. In other words you can decide to purchase the warranty anytime within the first year.

                  • +3

@Hirokuro: thx for ur info mate. I just thought $70 for additional 2 yrs is quite good. I'm usually not into extented warranty thingy as they r usually quite expensive.

  • +2

    good postage price as well

  • +1

Is this any good?? Really thinking of getting one.

How does it compare to Lenovo G560 06792KM at MLN - https://www.mln.com.au/product/?itemID=853 ?

  • +3

Well this certainly puts the price factor into perspective…
    http://www.shopbot.com.au/pp-toshiba-satellite-pro-l510-i3-3…

looks like a damn good price from CoTD to me… big positive vote

    • +1

Thank you, this deal was a long time in the making.

      • +1

        No, thank YOU!
        I would've purchased 3 if I have the money.

      • +1

An impressive deal for a 14" i3, 1366x768 LCD and switchable graphics. Thank you for making it happen :) A big positive from me as well.

  • +2

good deal for a i3 with graphics card.

    • +1

Plus it's 14" - bit of a price premium there.

  • +1

Great multipurpose laptop - wish I could get one.

  • +1

I know it's unlikely but will it play Starcraft 2?

    • +1

      Should be fine.

      • +1

Really? I thought it'd need to be much faster.

        • +1

Not on the highest settings but I'm sure it can play fine once adjusted. The 1366x768 resolution will help too.

    • +1

This laptop should be able play it on medium-low settings.
I purchased one, don't think laptop sale will last until tonight.

If not, just get a AU$375 GTX460-768MB DIY ViDock. This system has an expresscard slot so can do that. Will give you much much faster graphics.

    Fantastic price.

14" notebooks are a tad bit rarer and expensive too - but this is isn’t. Should get many years out of this one, even if it is 4xxx video and not 5xxx. On the plus side, it’s the xx70 variant and not the xx50.

    Good stuff COTD.

  • +1

    Like it to !

  • +1

    Edit: nevermind.

    Just realised it is 1366x768

    Excellent deal +1

  • +1

Can this laptop plays bluray/1080p smoothly?

    • +1

yep, however it doesn't have bluray player.

    • +1

      Easily.

    • +1

if you use the right software it will have accelerated decoding too. So Bluray/1080p with almost 0% CPU and usage and much lower power usage.

  • +1

    only silver? no black?

    • +1

The glossy black model is horrendous which looks only good when taken out of the box.

      • +1

They have a black model? It is only showing silver in cotd

how's the mousepad sensitivity? Some laptop mousepad sucks

  • +1

What's the expected delivery time for this for the Sydney area? Last time my gf bought a Laptop from COTD it took 5 weeks to arrive.

  • +1

    Nearly sold out.

  • +1

Woah, $70 for an extra 2 years extended warranty. That's a good deal.

  • +1

hows the battery life on this? i need at least 4 hours…

    • +1

it says 3 hours. You can buy a 12 cell, just pricey.

  • +1

    I'm getting Invalid Coupon Code

  • +1

Novice question but can someone confirm whether it has a cam or not?

    • +1

in the product specs, it said "integrated camera"

    • +1

      Yes it does have one.

      • +1

Thanks to both of you! Hope this doesn't take months to get to me in the middle of no where! :>

    • +2

That model has a slower processor and no HDMI

  • +1

Thanks for the code. Just bought one.

  • +1

Shame it's got the same GFX unit as a laptop of year+ ago. Wish they would do something about the 768 height, also it's not much to look at.

But a good price, non the less.

  • +1

    Awesome Deal. Just ordered mine!

  • +1

Great deal. Thanks. Just got one.

  • +1

QQQ, thanks for the great deal and for giving ozbargainers some extra loving. Keep em comin :)

  • +1

just a quick question, the specs mention "Genuine Windows® 7 32/64bit Home Premium (OEM)" - is that on a CD or recovery partition on the hdd? Thanks.

    • +1

On the recovery partition. When you first turn on the notebook the recovery manager starts and you select either 32/64 bit

  • +1

    can anyone confirm the weight?

  • +1

Toshiba is a giant electronic manufacturer; it has announced the introduction of Toshiba L510-P401A laptop in India. It was announced by the company itself in New Delhi last Monday in a press release. Toshiba Private India Limited stated that this product will be available in most of the consumer electronic markets by the end of this week. People are very much happy by the cost of Toshiba L510 as its cost is just INR 24, 999.

Can anyone confirm this model also Made in India?

    • +1

Most likely it's made in china :P

    • +1

Either Japan or China, though I'm guessing China. Probably the more premium laptops are made in Japan.

    • India can make laptops? I have never ever seen one PC made there. Its made in China as most of the PC technology comes from there…Lenovo, Acer, Asus…

      • +2

you got it all wrong, china makes and india fixes, its just a little working arrangement they have ;)

        • +1

          jaja well picked up upon

  • +1

damn, I wish my Lenovo order was rejected now =/

  • +1

    Got one
    better than LENOVO
    Thanks QQQ

    • +1

which lenovo model do you mean?

      • +1

        x200 tablet

  • +2

Got mine as well, yes agree better than Lenovo one… pity batery could be better. Anyone knows if I can remove the batery and run it using main power only?

    • +2

Yes, You can do this with almost all notebooks

  • -1

Just ordered this laptop not thinking through! Not sure if COD will agree to change the name on invoice! So i can claim the GST when my house-mate goes overseas.

    • +1

I work for the ATO and I can assure you that's called tax fraud.

    • +4

I don't work for the ATO and I can assure you that's called tax fraud, but you won't get caught.

  • +1

Is this a NEW laptop. I cant see it say new???????

    • +1

They don't have to, 'cos it's new!

If the item they're selling is old/refurbished, by law, they must say so. They will be in trouble if not.

    • +2

I dont know if they added it or nut but it is next to the price
      $699.00

      anyone can confirm this?

      • +1

        :$ anyone? 110 mins to go ~~

        • +1

  • +1

Big fish worthy for a catch ;) Thank you COTD.. Hope to have it delivered soon!

  • +1

Sell out already and stop tempting me to by………

    • +1

Hahahah, yeah, I was staring at it most of the day, I talked myself out of the ASUS the other day (for 2k) and this one was looking at me, I ended up buying it with a simple rationale, "if I dont buy it, I'll buy something a lot more expencive, so buying this laptop saves me 800-1300$"

  • +1

Hey QQQ, as quite some OZB members have asked, what is the expected delivery time? Can you please confirm this?

    • +1

second that, before I place the order. Just worry when waiting long for the shipment and another good bargain come out. :P

  • +1

Best deals from COTD, but They are real slow in delivery. ITs been more than 10 days, I have not got my items yet.
I get items from China from ebay faster than this ( 7-9 days)

  • +1

thanks. ordered for fathers day! hope it comes in time

  • +1

Just ordered one. Could not resist the awesome price…

  • +1

Seriously QQQ what is the eta of the laptops.
I'll have to cancel my order if it takes more than 4 weeks.
(by that time this wont be such a bargain).

    • +1

when they had the Chuppa Chupps and Mentos deal they all came to me within 1 week.. So if it is anything like that then it shouldn't be too bad! I can imagine thousands of people ordered them when they came out. Actually the Mentos came within 3 days of my order. So I hope that gives you a little hope in getting it sooner rather than later…

  • +2

Can't belive these still show as nearly gone when it started to say that over 20 hours ago.

    • +3

      It's called marketing :D

Don't let them fool you in thinking their stock is almost gone :)

  • +1

You know it's a worry that they are still flogging them at a rate of knots. How many do they have! That will make delivery slower as they seem to have many hundreds at the least. Recently I bought a rug from them, and was getting to the wondering stage after a number of weeks, when I got a message apologising and saying their supplier had not informed them that there wasn't enough stock to cover the orders they had taken. They got a $10 credit per order compensation from the supplier which they passed on to me as a store credit which was good of them. However I made the point to the rep that surely they should take responsibility for ensuring that the supplier actually held the stock to cover the orders. I hadn't realised that they are an on-seller in this manner.

    • +1

That's the thing I concerned. You might ended up wasting your chance of catching other opportunity becasue of their delay of notice. Look at the above inquiry about the eta, the shop rep QQQ obviously tried to avoid answering it. Doesn't that implicate some risk there?

  • +2
