          Maybe TPG misled someone for the "BIG $29.99 sign" and the small "plus $30 phone line rental" words but I did clearly said that it is $59.99/ month : $29.99 + $30 phone line fee for Unlimited plan.

          And if you are with Telstra/ optus you will also need to pay the phone line rental fee.

          So why -ve me? I do nothing wrong.

    To answer some questions about invalid telephone number when applying TPG:

    Invalid telephone number or inactive service number could be due to any of the following reasons:

    1. Non Telstra Network - ADSL can not run over the Optus Network.
      If this customer is transferring his (Optus, AAPT, Primus or Powertel) line to TPG,
      please provide an Account Number.
      If you don't have telephone line, please apply Telstra telephone line or use new number from TPG. You must be a new client to TPG, or you need to cancel the existing account before applying this new plan.

    2. New Service Number- If you line is new on the Telstra Network then
      it can take a number of days for the database that TPG tests on to
      be updated. To speed up the updating of the database you may wish
      to contact Telstra on 13 20 00 for retail or on 13 22 00 for
      residential.

    3. Service Number not on database- Sometimes the Telstra Database that
      we test on does not know you service number. This can be fixed by
      calling Telstra on 13 20 00 for retail or on 13 22 00 for residential.

    4. Service Number is non PSTN- Service number can not be part of a rotary
      group or commander system have conference call facility, or PABX. You
      will need provide us with another number.

    5. Inactive Service Number- The service line must be active with a phone
      provider. Call your current phone provider to ensure that your account
      is active.

    yep, ive done it, bit the bullet and disconnected my tpg adsl2 yesterday and applied for adsl2 24x7 home phone bundle today, received a confirmation that my initial qualification was successful, guess that means the codes have dropped so now its the 10-20 wait as per usual, hope all goes smoothly :-) thank f*** i have my neighbours wi fi to use in the downtime, dont reckon i would of done it if i wasnt allowed use of next doors wi-fi…

      Just be warned, the email published in the advert DOES NOT WORK. If you did sign up to TPG with the above dealer code, the "dealer" is copied on emails, so they have NO EXCUSE to not know about you signing up.
