is this macbook pro 13 a good deal? it seem like a good deal, or is there a better price previous posted on Ozbargain?

      I bought the 256gb.

      This is a good deal.

Its the 2017 model, and its 20% off.

      • only difference is that its from HK , not melbourne.

        buyer's regret……think i might return now . LOL fml.

  • Thanks, got a great deal on the Samsung Evo SD card 128gb, $56

    • link / store please
What speed? About same price on Amazon for U3.

Can anyone find me a cannon g7x or sony a6000 please.

    • Sure but it will come with an invoice with my name on it

  • hi guys looking for a high end 1070 gaming laptop prefer 17"but 15" might be ok if you recommend screen for around $3000 with this 20% discount so up to $3600 pre discount. Im not actually using it for gaming, want to do 3d rendering in sketchup vray and 3ds vray.

Needs to be lightweight up to 2.5kg and 25mm thick. Any ideas from you professionals? Ive spent the past 4 hours looking. I dont like MSI brand, so please rule out.

So far ive only got the following:

    Gigabyte P57X-1070-703S 17.3" QHD Gaming Laptop - Intel i7-7700HQ, 16GB Ram, 256GB M.2 SSD + 2TB HDD, GTX1070 8GB, 17.3" QHD, 1 x USB 3.1, 3 x USB 3.0, 1 x HDMI, 1 x D-Sub, Windows 10 Home for $2700 with discount

    Gigabyte Aorus X5-1070-701S 15.6" WQHD+ i7 16GB 256GB 1TB GTX 1070 8GB Laptop - $3151.20 with discount

Which 1 should i go for or do you have any others? I like the Gigabyte aero designs (aero only has 1060) and aoros designs but they are only 15.6" and prefer 17" if possible so need something that looks like these.

Thanks for your knowledge, its very appreciated.

    • Also just found Alienware from dell store? Are these preferred over the brands above?

      ALIENWARE 15 Core i7-7700HQ 16GB RAM 256GB SSD +1TB 15.6” FHD GTX1070 Win10Pro - $2799 with discount

      • I think I'd take Alienware, at least Dell fulfills their warranties.

  • OMG I hate eBay.
Bought a HTC U11 from the 10% deal few days back for $770.
Now it is $736 with the current deal.

  • Thanks for this OP, saved me $200 on some computer parts, and another $170 on a Surface Pro 3.

  • I'm looking at thr Inspiron for study, will be used for browsing the net, word, VirtualBox and probably some coding, anything else good for that price or will the Dell do?

  • I'm terribly annoyed I didn't know this deal was coming before diving into a mobile phone purchase 10 minutes to midnight on code PLENTY, even though I had a hunch there grr :(((

Isn't there a way to get a head's up before spending more than you need?

  • Anyone know what the difference is between the Dell Ultrasharp Monitors U2414H & U2417H, is it worth the extra 50 odd dollars?

    • Other than one being the 2014 model and the other the 2017 model I have NFI

    • Differences:
U2414H: 8 ms (gray to gray)
U2417H: 8 ms (gray to gray) Normal Mode / 6 ms ( gray to gray) FAST Mode

      U2414H: sRGB 96%
      U2417H: sRGB 99%

      U2414H: 3.61 kg (Panel Only)
      U2417H: 3.18 kg (Panel Only)

      U2414H: 74W Max power consumption
      U2417H: 68W Max power consumption

      U2414H: 2 HDMI(MHL) connector / 1 Mini DisplayPort / 1 DisplayPort (version 1.2a) / 1 DisplayPort out (MST) / 1 Audio Line out (connect your speakers)
U2417H: DP connector (include DP in and DP out) / mDP connector / HDMI (MHL) connector

      Jerry's Final Thoughts:
Whist both monitors are very similar the 2017 model just boasts a slight refinement over the older model. It has a slightly more accurate color reproduction in sRGB(great for Photoshop / matching color), it has an option of 6ms to improve gaming or fast motion video experience. The 2017 is slightly lighter than the U2414H because they have removed some connectivity ports which are mostly unneeded in today's age, and it's slightly more power efficient.

Personally I think the $50 price difference is worth it for the U2417H. I purchased my U2415H a year ago from Dell Outlet for $170 Brand new and I do not regret it. Got a great price. Dell Outlet if you prefer to refresh it daily and wait for a good deal.

      • I purchased my U2415H a year ago from Dell Outlet for $170 Brand new

Sif $170. Lowest it's been is like $311. Even a refurb hasn't been that cheap.

edit: wait a sec your initial reply was

I purchased my U2415H a year ago from Dell Outlet for $175 Brand new and I do not regret it. Got a great price, because they screwed up my initial order for $250 so discounted it for me.

        • +1

Sorry my bad, I thought it was $170, but it included GST so it was actually $199. I went to purchase a refurb for $254, I ordered it and all, then it took 1 hour for them to take my payment in which time it sold to someone else. After numerous emails to managers and regional they actually were honest (Which im surprised about), They told me mid through my purchase the lady put me on hold and went on her 45min break without transferring my call.

After that I demanded a good price, so they gave me a brand new one for $254 and refunded me $55 cash as an apology. Still an unbeatable price.

          @LiMaaa:

epic deal! deserved though for making you wait around for so long

        • @CVonC:

Yeah, practically half price. I used a blog which had all the contact emails names and numbers of all the ceo and high level managers. When they weren't supportive in resolving my dispute a few of those changed things around real quickly. I give them props for actually rectifying it though and I do appreciate the end result.
