  • Anyone know if this is a special combo, or been around for a while?

    • No idea, stumbled across it today at my local Bunnings. They had a sort of wall out of them which would indicate new, I reckon.

      • It's been around a couple of weeks, it's a promo item so once it's gone it won't be restocked for a while or potentially ever.

  • Hi Guys, I bought it for around $140 one week ago !! is there anyway I can recoup my loss??

    • -2

Return them and say your not happy. Get refund. Buy combo again.

What are your thoughts on the pressure washer, does it allot of pressure?

      • -1

        1450 PSI

      • +18

Or you can just buy the new combo and return the new item with the old receipt.

    • -4

Yes, get a refund saying it doesn't work as well as expected (pretty sure Bunnings do those).

      A little dodgy though.

    • -6

still have the box? Go back and say it wan't as strong as the person told you it would be. They'll return it. Worst case, give you a voucher, and after re-buying it you'll have $41 to spend in the next few months.

side note, could it clean the car from more the 1 foot away? (problem I had a while ago with a cheapy one, you had to be right against what you wanted to clean.

    • +24

Buy new - come back next day and return the new combo with the older receipt. Keep the old combo.

      • -2

What a dishonest society we live in

        • -1

          if boxed who cares

    • +8

Buy another one and return it with the original receipt.

    • Or if you bought with 28 Degrees Card with Shopper's Protection Insurance, you can ask 28 Degrees Card to pay you the difference.

  • +2

Does sprayer come with foam Lance?

    • Yes, I've used it on my car. Works well.

  • Read some really bad reviews for the vacuum. A lot of folks are saying there is very little suction power.

Does anyone have one of these and can comment on it's functionality?

Other than the bad reviews, seems like a very good deal. Thinking about getting it.

    • +2

I saw those same reviews about lack of suction, after I bought and tried myself I had no idea what they were raving about as the suction is pretty powerful, especially considering size of machine and price.

    • I've only used mine once, suction seemed really strong! huehuehue. All jokes aside, each time the cannister knocked against a wall or something it sounded like the whole thing got blocked and the motor was going to burn out. Would have to turn off, open and close it, then it went back to normal.

Not sure if it's something that I haven't setup correctly but I read the manual and it's pretty simple to setup so…

      • +2

I have another brand and it does the same.
I worked out why, but cant remember now.

These things wont clean a carpet and are horrible as regular dry vacs, but thats not the point of them, they are for liquid spills and dirty workshop gunk. If someone tries it on a carpet they are going to be very disappointed.

I use mine to dry the garage floor after washing it, good tools.

        • Thanks this was helpful. I was hoping the that vacuum would work well on the wet carpet.

      • It's because of the float ball inside the barrel; that stops water getting into the motor if sucking liquids. Because it's free to roll around in its' cage, a good shove will move the ball close enough to the air intake inside the barrel to cause a loss of suction.

TLDR - feature, not a bug!

        • Thanks for the heads up. Will keep that in mind.

    • I've got one and it's awesome!

    • Nope, had one for about 3 years now, still S U C C S

  • Thank you guys for the advise. I haven't tried pressure cleaner yet. Vacuum cleaner performance is at par with cheap $40 kmart one, but you can use it as blower as well.

    • Pressure cleaner is pretty good! I've used it a handful of times with the patio head. It's obviously not as powerful as a Karcher 2000psi unit, but it depends on what you're using it for.

If you're using it on a deck, the lower pressure is better as it won't strip the wood and will usually only remove stains etc.

    • +1

      +3 year replacement warranty!

  • +2

Wish my cheap vacuum from aldi and cheap pressure cleaner from masters both broke. Need to justify this purchase

  • Just brought this deal and even has 3 years warranty-can't go wrong

    • +9

      Where did you bring it?

  • If anyone wants to split the cost of this (50:50)this on the southside of Brisbane, inbox me.

After the pressure cleaner, you can keep the vacuum :)

    • +2

I wanna vacuum , but I am live at Sydney

      • +1

I want the pressure cleaner and live in Sydney west.

        • +9

Don't need any of them and I don't live near Sydney.

        • +5

@Sebastian: I need both of them and live in Melbourne

        • +6

You need both of them because you live in Sydney west.

    • +8

To be fair it should be a 62:38 split since the pressure cleaner costs 1.6 times more than the vacuum (simple numbers).

  • can you use the vac as an indoor one?

    • No it just works in shops ¯_(ツ)_/¯

      • +1

        Here's your arm back \
        :)

    • it says on the box it's ideal for cars and boats. This is why I decided against it when I saw it today. Not sure if there is a difference.

      • Yer it would be more for my car but don't have a indoor vac so just wanted to know if it would work fine.

        • +1

I can't speak of the quality but it would be just as suitable for the home as any other application it will be used in

  • +1

I would skip this deal, still waiting for Gerni or Borch pressure washer

    • +6

      borch
Something very sexy and attractive. Men with big penisses are referred to as borchs
the room is packed with borchs… i think im going to get some tonight.

I'm Gerni wait for some Borchs.
Hmm…I might get the Ozito deal instead. It's more in my comfort zone with the level of pressure and suction.

  • I saw this in Collingwood store today. They had 8 at the front of the store.

  • The pump material is plastic which is not as good compare to aluminium used in other brands.

    • +2

My Gerni alloy pump corroded and leak pressure after a few years of use. I now buy a cheap pump every few years I don't need very strong pressure for washing cars anyway. Even if it's metal pump, internal parts like anti reverse flow valves and stop valves, pressure valves are all abs/nylon plastics.

Plastic pumps are not bad as long as the manufacturer gets the plastic right. Polymer technology is pretty advanced nowadays. Until the oil runs out anyway…

  • +1
  • It's the 3 year warranty that's very appealing. You could probably get about 6 years of use out of this equipment. I find that some of the Ozito stuff do break at around the 3 year mark. I recently returned a drill 2 weeks prior to 3 years and got a new one. Assuming 6 years of use, then it would be about $16.50 per year which is not bad.

  • Any opinions on how this pressure washer would go about making a car clean a lot easier? Currently wash my car the 'classic' hose+sponge+bucket way and just can't be bothered often enough since it takes too long - would this streamline the process & would the washer be powerful enough to get the grime off?

    • I wouldn't use a pressure washer on its own. Whilst there's a fair chance that it could get the car to an acceptable level of clean, my concern is that if there's still some dirt and grime left - even if not immediately apparent to the naked eye - you're going to inflict swirls and scratches into your paint when it then comes time to chamois/towel the water off. And if you don't chamois/towel off your car after and you use town water, you should for the sake of your car's paintwork.

I'm not sure if it's compatible with the Ozito but you could couple a pressure washer with a pre-wash foam like Bowden's Own Snow Job, although if anything that'll only extend the time it takes to wash your car once you factor in setting up the pressure washer etc rather than going straight for the trusty mitten.

      • Thanks for the advice redvaldez, I dropped the coin on the pair tonight and will see how the pressure washer goes on its own tomorrow - if it does anything at all. Then next time will try with a cleaner/foam and see if it's any better!

        • Could you let me know how the pressure washer goes for washing a car? I have wanted to invest in a pressure washer and get a soap/foaming attachment for a while, and I thought this might be a good opportunity to do so. Does it come with one of those foam attachments in the combo?

        • @mdogxxx:
buying it to wash ur car is kind of pointless.
You still need to scrub the dirt off as the pressure will not clean it all.

Just think when you go to the coin car wash, you can use the high pressure all you want but it will not get all the dirt off.

        • @mdogxxx: It does come with the foaming attachment for the end of the lance; unfortunately I haven't had a chance to try it today, both as it's raining and I realised I don't have a functioning hose anymore, so back to bunnings.
Based on youtube searching a pressure washer and foam/car wash will be able to streamline the process and might sometimes be adequate if your car is only moderately dirty. How this particular washer goes is another story, I'll let you know as soon as I make any progress

        • +1

@Hirolol: It is hardly pointless. You use the pressure washer first to loosen and remove alot of the surface dust and any other dirt and grit to reduce the amount of contaminants you are rubbing against your paint, then you wash the car with a mitt and 2 buckets to give it the more thorough wash. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFXfSBR5Q9w That video goes into it more in depth and I would highly recommend checking out that guys channel if you want to take your car washes further than the bare basics.

        • @mdogxxx:
Yeah I'm aware of the 2 bucket method, works very good.

But unless you're 4wding or getting heaps of mud and dirt on ur car I wouldn't bother.
2 bucket is more than enough.

        • Pressure washer saves a lot of water, it's allowed in VIC during draught and when water restrictions in place. If you read the specs most of them output about 5 to 7 litres per minute. Most of the time you will be using it seconds at a time.

It also saves time and minimise the risk if scratch your car. The pressure removes fine and large grit from the paint surface so you are left with the micro film that you wipe off with the detergent and sponge.

You don't see car washes use a garden hose for washing.

  • purchased and tried. pretty good. a lot better pressure then an old (2011) pope 1500W pressure washer.

I like that the motor cuts out until you press the trigger.

I can see what people are saying about no trigger latch.

shall try and get as much use as I can within 3 years warranty period.

Grabbed one from Dural, had around 10. box and the items are smaller than I expected.

  • Just bought one from Rydalmere! They have 8 left as of close of business

  • Nice thanks OP

  • anyone found some compatible cloth bags for the vacuum?

    • +1

Just saw them at Bunnings today. Ozito branded as well.

  • Still around 8 in Bunnings Auburn.. just picked one up

  • +1

Pressure cleaner works really well. Made my job easier.

  • +1

This or the Ryobi one for $99? Ryobi has more PSI…

  • The pressure cleaner is a piece of crap. The seals on the outside aren't that great, so the hose always leaks where it attaches to the cleaner. Don't buy it if you're after something decent. Our first one failed in less than 6 months. It wouldn't turn on at all! Thankfully we had the receipt and Bunnings exchanged it for us under warranty. If you want something decent, buy a Gerni branded one - a model that has wheels so that you can drag it along as you clean.

If you still want to buy one, keep the receipt in a safe place. It comes with a 3 year warranty and does the basics of what you'd expect from a pressure cleaner.

  • Nice, ended up getting one for $50.01.
Someone returned it because they said the vacuum suction wasn't very good but the pressure cleaner hadn't been touched. I was after the pressure cleaner mainly anyway, and the sales person said the warranty still applies so grabbed it.

Pressure cleaner works fairly well. It cleaned the concrete but it doesn't cover much area so takes quite a bit longer than a proper one. Good thing it has 3 year warranty!
