    Warning: Came back from Melbourne City, DJ Bourke St states they will not sell GC for purchasers who pay by Amex, there is no sign or statement yet, but 'they have just announced', which is totally Bullxxxx, Myer still have bonus promotion (if you buy $100 Myer GC to get $10 Bonus Myer GC), however staffs at DJ and Myer were showing a bit attitude, not friendly at all, impatient and irritated. Worst experience for Amex Credit so far.

        Thats what exact I thought. I was a bit rush so just purchased a few items by pricing match, but I meant to get GC instead as the discount of the price match is not that good.

          i went to Level 5, and found one 'hidden' counter, and i went and ask the lady for giftcard purchase.. and she was really helpful..as i explained to her i wanted to split payment, and she said no issue, just asked me to bear with her, coz it's her 1st time processing it..

          @annielee: young staff or inexperience staff would be more helpful. I was served by a mid-aged woman, took almost 30min, irritated, checked if all my cards are under my name, and told me that she was not allowed to split more than 2 cards each time. So I have to purchase $100 per card everytime by 2 split payment. waste lots of time and physical cards. Totally not happy for both of us.

          @annielee: yes, Myer GC only. She issued $10 card one by one,so I have a handful of $10 GC to spend instore only as it seems only allowed 5 GC max for online purchasing.

          @annielee:You are right. Staffs there are confused sometimes, so let you purchase Coles Myer GC instead and still issued you bonus. Really depends on staff, heard a few people got Coles Myer GC, but I am not that lucky.

      I went to the quiet registers on the higher floors tonight at Myer and David Jones (yes, during the busy event of Fashion's Night Out) and they were more than happy to sell me Coles Myer and DJ gift cards with split payments. I think it depends who serves you and how busy they are at the time. It might get worse as the promotional period goes on - they may get sick of it.

        Which floor?
        I went to the ground floor customer service last night.
        She was not too happy with people buying $50 GF with Amex.
        She didn't give me the covers for the gift cards assuming I was using them for myself. I had to ask for them.
        Should have bought them on Thursday to avoid the rush.

          Yeah I agree that going during quiet times or at the very start of promotion gives you a better chance.

          I went to 6th floor in Myer (it was almost empty) and whichever high floor does gift registry/customer service at David Jones.

          I think maybe the statement credit is based on the Merchants ABN numbers instead of the location for this year. Merchants only have one ABN number but can have many locations. DJ have 2 locations, last year the statement applied to both locations, this year no one report back that the statement credit apply to both DJ yet.

    Just went to Pitt St. Westfield will let you split a gift voucher across two cards, so I bought 2 x $100 across my four cards. Bought one $200 card from the electrical area of Myer, the lady has no problem splitting.

    David Jones Bourke Street did not allow for split payment when purchasing a watch. Something about it being illegal. Least Myer was more accommodating.

      Based on this list in Sydney, they now have H&M, T2, Chat Thai, New Shanghai etc.

      But these don't seem to have the spend $50 get $20 offer.

      I guess they are retailers participated in Amex Vogue event but don't carry this offer.

    Both Myers and Westfield Sydney are asking to produce ID if you wish to use multiple cards.

    Myers has still plenty of Coles Myers GC at Level 5 and 6.

      The one next to T2 still counts. It's still listed on the American Express link. You just can't claim two credits if you buy both the T2 and Microsoft ones as you'll only get one credit (from what others in this thread have been saying).
