        Myer staff was quite nice; no problems.

    Anyone here who bought from 2 Westfield locations + Myer.. I understand many of you got credit only from 2 locations(1 from Westfield & 1 from Myer).
    Few of them had to contact Amex to get the third applied manually.

    My question is - Since the third is manually credited… I'm assuming we are still allowed to do a third spend as it isn't system generated. Can anyone confirm please ?

      You can try your luck — and try it on a totally different retailer than the ones you've already made purchases on.

      I am still in the middle of getting my third cashback applied annually and I will need to have that sorted first.

      The red cards can be used outside Westfield like an EFTPOS card. I just used mine today at my LPO to pay bills.

          @tajid: Gold has the EFTPOS logo, red doesn't? That's the only difference really… Both should work where EFTPOS is accepted.

        I can confirm my red cards also worked outside Westfield, even at Costco. Make sure you select savings and enter the pin, just like an eftpos card.

    N00b question.. I saw in westfield sydney gift card website that Myer is listed as a store that accepts Westfield gift card.
    Does it mean that I can convert my Westfield Sydney gift cards to Coles Myer gift card?

      You can, but why would you? Coles Myer gift cards only works at Coles Myer group stores, whereas Westfield gift cards work anywhere eftpos is available.

        Hmmm? As far as I know there are two types of Westfield gift card..red one which they charge 2.95 can only be used in participating stores in westfield.
        Another one is gold card which they charge 4.95 and works like eftpos card.

        From what I can gather, you were referring to the gold card?
        I bought the red gift cards..

      When did you buy the gift cards? I got both credits back for DJ and Myer, even though I didn't receive any confirmation email for the Myer purchase last week. Just bought the Westfield one yesterday, so the credit has yet to come through. I did receive a confirmation email straight after though.

    Surprisingly I received the confirmation emails for both Westfield gift cards just then! Not sure if they fixed the problem. Although the guy on the Myer side was very adamant the cards had to match your ID, but it was more relaxed on the pitt st side.

      I just bought a gift card in George street Westfield next to T2 and received no email confirmation on either cards.

      I have purchased from Pitt street one before and received the email instantly.

      Are you sure you have received an email for each card spend? Experience is different for everyone else.

        yeh, it was unexpected as i had also only received 1 out of 2 westfield emails with my other cards. This time was 2 new supplmentary cards, went to both westfield concierge and myer in between last night, and received 6 emails altogether (4 from westfield, all straight after the transaction). not sure if the cashback will come through though, will know in a few days.
        also i just spoke to a relative who went tonight, she said she didn't receive email confirmations for any of her purchases today (including myer). so maybe there's something wrong with the Amex email system today.

          @zoecot: no this rebate happened automatically, as I said for the purchases made on the evening of 11/9. received email confirmations for both westfield locations, and the credits back for both on 13/9.
          I am also waiting on the 2nd credits on my earlier purchases (when everyone was just getting the one email). Amex rep said they have identified the problem and I should expect the credit back for those sometimes next week, when I asked via online chat.

    Has anyone bought twice from David Jones? If so, did you get 2nd email for the second DJ spend? I just placed a phone order with Elizabeth St store but did not get an email (my first spend was with DJ Bourke St). Hopefully the statement credit will still come through (I am quite confident of it but just want to be sure).

    For those waiting for their second Westfield credit:

    There was some issue with the way the merchant registered their address with us so the second charge for all the Westfield locations was not credited however the issue has been identified so the pending credits would automatically credit on the account by this week.

    The email system is definitely playing up. 10 cards, used all at Myer to buy Coles Myer GCs and only got 4 emails. Today also filled up $40 at BP to take advantage of the spend $40 get $10 back offer and no email too. So it's definitely something on their end.
    I did get 8 statement credits today though (used 8 cards on Monday so these credits were for those), and I'll get 2 statement credits tomorrow I assume (as the other 2 cards were used today).
    Gotta love AmEx.

    I made 3 purchases on 12/9 Tuesday, one purchase is on DJ and two purchases were for the 2nd lots Westfield GC - one at Westfield Sydney and one at Westfield Centra Sydney. Today I received statement credit for DJ spent, Westfield Sydney(2nd lots) but no statement credit for the 2nd lots of Westfield Centra Sydney. They did not fix the issue correctly.

      Did DJ or Westfield checked the ID name matched the card? Yesterday Westfield and DJ both checked the ID's name need to match the name on the card before allow me to purchase the GC.

    Didn't get any email for any spend for the last 2 days, but can see credits for all those credit cards now (Spent 1 at DJ Elizabeth St through phone order, 5 at Country Road Melbourne Central). I can also confirm that you get 2 separate credits for spending at 2 different David Jones (Bourke St and Elizabeth St).

      Cynix, it should not take so long. I made some purchases on Tuesday, i have received statement credit for DJ, Westfield Sydney Myer side - 2nd lot). But i did not receive Westfield Sydeny Central (Microsoft side) for my 2nd lot. I think Amex did not fix Westfield issue properly.
