Title is in AU$ to simplify, exact currencies and approximate AU amounts below:

Neil passed on this Deallabs in France link with new booking.com deals. I've gone through them all and grabbed the best ones & edited the link to display in English. New offers similar to previous expired deals.

Spend £120 (~AU $199) & get £40 (~AU$66) EXPIRED

Spend US$80 (~AU$100) & get US$40 (~AU$50) New Link (10/10)

Spend US$50 (~AU$63) & get US$25 (~AU$31.25) EXPIRED

If you are spending over £120 (~AU $180) then use the main link. For anything less there are the 2nd and 3rd links below. I've tested them all to checkout and didn't see any issues.

Process

(1) Click the link, ensure you see this banner at the bottom of the screen.
(2) Find the hotel you want to book and add it to your cart.
(3) In Step 2 'Enter your details' you'll see a greenbox to confirm the cashback amount applies OR it will tell you how much more you need to spend. Successful or Need to spend more. So you'll know if you haven't met the spend and don't need to worry too much about working it out.
(4) Make your booking once you see the cashback has applied above.
(5) You might get some prompt to do this or you may already have a credit card on file (however you may need to select it to receive the cashback). If you haven't been prompted then go to settings > credit card > add a card > enter your credit card details > click 'Use this card for my cash rewards'. The cashback will then be paid to card after you complete your stay. When I did it some time ago it said that VISA only was guaranteed but I've seen people have used Mastercard as well. I'm not sure about AmEx I used to VISA to play it safe.

Confirming (further) the cashback after booking: Login to your account and click 'bookings' > 'View your bookings'. Scroll down slightly and you should see a banner like this.

Before your stay: A day or two before you will receive emails about your cashback most likely, eg "We hope you have an awesome trip! After your stay, you'll get an email about your US$40 reward from Booking.com. The reward is paid to your preferred credit card and sent shortly after that."

After your stay: If you don't add a credit card as per step 5 (which I didn't when I used it), you'll get something like this after your booking: "Welcome back! We hope you enjoyed your trip! Now that you've stayed, it's time to cash in on the reward we promised. Note: We can put your rewards money faster on Visa cards due to recent changes in Mastercard regulations. Although not all Mastercard credit/debit cards are affected, at this time we cannot guarantee that your rewards money will be paid on Mastercard."

Further terms: Thanks to Peck. Good idea to leave a review (I didn't myself but never hurts to play it safe). Also 1 cashback per campaign and max 3 campaigns per account per year.

Keep in mind: This deal is great for short stays/smaller spends, you can get up to 33% or 50% of your accommodation spend back. However for longer/larger booking you may be better off with a % back or similar deal elsewhere. OzBargain Hotels page.

  • Hi what happens if you pay cash at the property can booking, com still track that you completed stay there.

    • It's been reported to work in past deals, however this user has stated that you should pay with the same credit card at the hotel as you have elected to receive the cashback on booking.com (not sure if that is a necessity but better to be safe).

      • ok i just used a reloadable coles mastercard i dont use much to verify the booking i thought by paying cash i would get a better exchange rate at money changers and avoid fees. Also can i use this deal more than once in the same month.

        • 1 cashback per campaign and max 3 campaigns per account per year.

You can't use the same cashback offer again, but can use one of the others (3 times total). I'm not sure if that's enforced but that's what the terms say.

        • @hamza23:
Have you always received cashback a few on here complain about not receiving it.

        • @paulaus:

Only had 1 completed booking but yes received the cashback - US $40 cashback from this deal.

        • @hamza23:
Ok thanks for the help booked 2 nights at a 4 star hotel in Cebu $149 $75 a night dont usually spend that much on a room there average about $25 to $30 a night but with cashback brings it down to $50 a night one of lol.

        • @hamza23: How long will it take to receive cash back from Booking.com after completing the stay? It's been two weeks since my hotel checkout and still see no cashback in my visa card..

        • @Maxii:

Did you get any email from them after the stay? I finished another stay on Monday and got this email yesterday:

          Welcome back!
We hope you enjoyed your trip. Now you've stayed, we’ll put your xxx reward on your credit card like we promised. You don’t need to do anything!

I haven't received that reward yet but it's only been 1 day since that email and 4 days since the stay. Last time I think it was 4 or 5 days after I completed the stay you might need to contact them if it's been 2 weeks, especially if you didn't get any email about 'Welcome back cashback is on the way'

        • @hamza23: No I didn't get that email.. I got this email 6 days after my hotel checkout -"We hope you have an awesome trip! After your stay, you'll get an email about your US$40 reward from Booking.com. The reward is paid to your preferred credit card and sent shortly after that.." but nothing after this email.

I tried to find a way to contact Booking.com but their contact page doesn't have any email address or phone number. Do you have their customer service email address or phone number by any chance? Thank you in advance..

        • @Maxii:

That's strange you'd get the pre stay email but not the post stay. You definitely have a credit card selected to pay the cashback into? "settings > credit card > add a card > enter your credit card details > click 'Use this card for my cash rewards'."

I haven't had to contact booking.com before but did some searching and found this:

Australia Booking.com (Australia) Pty Ltd Customer Service Offices
          Customer Service
          Local number: 02 8228 1535

          Sydney
          Phone: +61 (0) 2 9255 9200 (office hours)

Just no email, they seem to push you to contact the hotel directly or self serve.

        • @hamza23: Thanks mnate. I'll get in touch with them in a sec.

        • @Maxii:

I got the $50 cash back amount on my credit card 6 days after my stay.

      • I used a different card to pay at the hotel (Visa) to what I provided to Booking.com for cash back (Mastercard), and I still received the $50 cash back.

    • Yes, you can pay cash at the property and the cashback still applies, based on my recent experience.

  • Got my refund, thanks op. Visa payment took less that 48 hours after confirming the refund on the email link.

  • i had two cash back bookings lined up for Feb next year through previous deals. Today I tried to add another booking with this deal, and afterward I realised all my tentative rewards have disappeared (they used to be under "Free money" in the user dashboard)

however, in the confirmation email it does say the cash reward has been activated

anyone with similar experience? will booking.com honour the rewards as they are stated in all confirmation emails?

  • Thanks for this, OP. Hopefully this will mean a slightly cheaper/nicer stay in Kyoto next month.

  • Thanks OP, got my cashback for a stay in Sep. Used Mastercard, no issues.

  • How long did it take for the "Now you checked out…. expect the cashback" email to arrive? So at least I know the stay is registered and the cashback is coming.

I checked out few days ago and was thinking of contacting Booking.com if I don't hear from them.

For the most recent one last week I checked out on Monday and got the email Thursday 7pm (3 and a half days later). It had a slightly different email subject this time:

Confirmation number xxxxxxxxxx: Claim your $xx reward now that you’re back!

A couple days later the cashback was on my nominated card.

      • Thanks Hamza

  • Hello OP / others,

    Is this deal still on?

I'm trying to book, and the 'green status bar' noting the credit no longer appears for me.

    Thanks

Looks like the 1st and 3rd links are expired, the 2nd deal is still working only:

      Spend US$80 (~AU$100) & get US$40 (~AU$50)

      Updated now thanks.

  • I cannot see the banner when I click the link. Anyone can help. Thanks.

    • Just replied above FYI :)

  • What is the best referral link you guys have found so far? I have found a $40 nzd

  • Second link also does not seem to be working now
    Spend US$80 (~AU$100) & get US$40 (~AU$50)

    • Yeah we marked the deal expired this morning, that one also stopped working as you say.

        Awesome, thx mate :)

  • Made a recent booking for a stay in Nov but in the email it says:

    Your cash reward
You’ll receive US$40 after you’ve completed your stay.
Oops – it looks like you’ve made several bookings with your special offer. That’s no problem, your bookings won’t be affected. But our special offer is only valid for one booking so you’ll still only receive one cash reward.

I'm still waiting on the cash reward for my previous stay. It seems that cash rewards are only paid once.

    • 1 cashback per campaign and max 3 campaigns per account per year.

      • I used the €75 campaign from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/323851

Since I have a stay in Nov, I tried to use the new link posted by neil and that was the result I got.

I thought the €75 cash reward campaign is different than the $40 one.

  • how do I know it's difference campaign?

  • can we price match with accor deal then get $40 cash back?

    • You can claim a refund for the difference if you happen to find your reservation cheaper on another website.

Just remember to contact us after booking with us and at least 24 hours before your check-in date. You'll need to provide us with the link to the other offer and it must be online and available when we check.

Seems you should be able to since it is after you make the booking.

  • MY son and I had bookings that, online, showed the banner of $US40 rebate. That banner has now disappeared from both bookings. I may cancel and book cheaper site if not getting the rebates..

    • +2

It would have said you are getting the cashback in the final step as well as emails.

On the confirmation emails from Booking.com, at the bottom (underneath the blue box with total price) should say:

      My reward
You’ll receive US$40 after you’ve completed your stay.

      • My email from a booking I did yesterday said:

        Your cash reward
You’ll receive US$40 after you’ve completed your stay

        But same thing.

      • Ok got it. Thanks.

  • I have followed the above steps and received an email "We hope you enjoyed your trip! Now you've stayed, it's time to get the reward we promised". There is no mention of adding a mastercard in this email (as I already had it added). But there is no banner in my bookings and there's no clickable link in the email!!!
How on earth do I get my money then???

    • The refund will automatically go back to your card, which you provided in your account.

  • I received the email 6 days ago though and there's nothing in my booking.com profile that shows anything about the refund. The email has "40 pound" in a green box, as if it appears you could click on it, but it doesn't let you click on anything in the email.
The email didn't say that I 'don't have to do anything' like some people have mentioned and it also did not ask for a credit card. It just says "it's time to get the reward we promised".

Go into Settings and make sure your card is listed there. If it is just be patient and wait for the payment to reach your card.

      • Thanks, I just double checked, it had another card but not the one I booked with which is odd. Hopefully it works now, might be too late?

        • +1

If it had another card there AND if it was a Mastercard or VISA, your refund will be to that account. Check your bank/cc account online.

        • @neil: Yes it had a Visa, but I'm sure I used a MasterCard to book after reading that it worked better with mastercard. I've already checked my bank account it's definitely not been refunded to either card, so I'll just keep an eye out I guess.

  • Second link not showing banner anymore? 😔

  • +1

Booked 2 nights under 2 separate bookings and paid cash at the hotel… Successfully received 2 lots of A$50 for my stay in NZ! Thanks heaps OP! 😊😊😊

  • My cashback banners have dissapeared under "my bookings". Happen to anyone else?

    • Happened to me for my completed stay on the 12/11.
For a while I had the blue bar at the 'confirm my credit card' stage, even though it was on file, but now it has gone completely.
Have had no emails regarding the cash back, and my emails enquiring about it (not demanding) gave gone unanswered.
Not too happy considering a direct booking with the hotel would have been 288 for the night yet I paid 320 with Booking.

      • That's unfortunate. Luckily I have screenshotted my booking with the relevant cashback banners beneath so I have some grounds on enquiring about it. Keep us updated on your situation!

        • Luckily I still have the booking email clearly stating:

          Your cash reward
You’ll receive US$40 after you’ve completed your stay

Tomorrow will be day 3 they have ignored my second email, time to get a little firmer in my wording the next one I think.

Are you in the same boat?
