Not working for me, just get the upgrade subscription message,,,

  • Fill it with movies for 11 days

Does this mean 11 days worth of filling or 11 days worth of watching? Ie can you still watch them on the 12th day?

    • +1

Yes if it is recorded within 11 days

      • Only problem is I don't have Foxtel lol!

        • That is a fairly major issue yes.

    • +1

i dont believe you can watch the recorded movies after the free period

      • This promo has run a few times over the past 10 years, the first couple of times I recall movies could be saved and watched later - last few times I recall not being able to access saved movies after the promo.

      • Yes I was wondering this as I am sure I have recorded things in the past and then later I could not watch it. Oh well will have to test it and see!

    Not working for me either

  • +3

Working OK for me, thanks for the heads up. I didn't get any info from Foxtel about this.

  • Thanks for that. Gives me one last chance to record a few movies before I give Foxtel a flick next month.

  • for those who do/don't have this offer are you foxtel by foxtel or foxtel by telstra?

    • DO have offer - I am Foxtel by Foxtel

    • +1

Do have offer, Foxtel by Telstra

      • +1

        There goes that theory!!

    • +1

Eligibility is based on the following:

Offer valid 18-28 September 2017. Only available to customers on Foxtel’s new pricing and packaging structure (which launched on 3 November 2014) and excludes customers subscribed to the Movies Pack.

      • That explain why I just signed up to the basic pack and for some reason had movie channels available (well found out via the app, box not arriving till next week).

  • Working for me thanks.

  • Foxtel by foxtel, cable, no go.

  • Not working here. Foxtel by Foxtel $89 Essentials + HD Sport. Was mulling cancelling after the footy season anyway but this is as good a reason as any I guess.

  • Got it!!

  • Awesome! Works for me. Foxtel through telstra. Thanks op!

  • Foxtel by Foxtel here and I got it. Ive got sport + HD. Thats it.

They sent me an email earlier today telling me Im getting 11 days of free movie channels and they were there when I turned on the TV.

    Didnt have to do anything.

  • Thx work for me

  • Not working for me, no email, currently in dialogue with Foxtel on FB chat…..

    • Did they offer you? Its not working me either

  • Worked for me. Foxtel by Foxtel, cable, and on most basic ($26) package.

    • Seconded - this set up working for me via satellite.

      • Unfortunately, though, the movies are useless without HD, which means having to fork out $10 just to enjoy this "free" trial. Still worth it, though.

        • +2

You will be pleased to know that as a true Ozbargainer I secured the $26 price with the HD thrown in and a couple of other extras for free when I called to pull the pin after 17 years.

        • @attfiecz2:

Lucky, but I've only been with them for 6 1/2 years… not sure I'd get the same offer?

  • Thanks. Didn't know until now.

  • Ended badly,we're on old old plan where movies and drama are combined so movie offer not available unless we migrate to a current package.

    Loses bonuses of course <G>

So thanks OP, but offer not for us today….

  • Anyone know if you pre record a few movies will they be viewable or locked after the 28th? I have IQ3.

    • Assuming it's the same as it has been for previous promotions, any recorded programs can still be viewed after the 11 days.

      • Even for IQ3? from memory IQ2 should be good but IQ3 being the newest model, it might have extra features to put a stop to it?

  • Thanks OP. I am with Foxtel from Telstra and the movie channels are showing for me :)

  • +1

I have the free movie channels, but did not receive an e-mail about it. Usually I'm the one posting these deals as no one else seemed to be on their mailing list. Odd.

  • Doesn't work for me either … just the upgrade message. Going to cancel soon as too expensive, even when they dropped the basic package price didn't lower mine accordingly. Rang to ask said and wss told if not happy welcome to return unit/cancel. Top service …… NOT

  • I have Foxtel from Telstra but I never get an email about these sort of deals. Do they only send emails out to Foxtel customers? Glad I still have a few days of free movie channels!
