How much does her school charge for corkage? =P

      Haha good one, i missed a D!

  • Her school is nice. At least iPad is a lot cheaper than some other schools requiring some top end 2in1 touch tablet notebooks.

  • I know of a parent who bought an iPad, for their primary school kid, from the school itself. Last week the kid lost the iPad in the school. The iPad was kept in a tub - before the kids go for a break. When the child returned from the break, iPad was gone. The kid's in year 5, very upset. So are the parents. The school just washed its hands of the whole saga.

iPads should not be compulsory until at least year 9.

    • No passcode or find my iPad installed?

      • Was setup by the school… I don't think find my iPad was setup.

        • And no insurance?

        • @wtfnodeal:
Insurance as in home and contents?

        • @ms: health insurance, of course portable device insurance

        • @wtfnodeal:
Don't think so. Considering it was used at school, it should have been safe. Not many parents know of this insurance.

  • Too bad the 4G version isn't on sale :( Want to upgrade my original iPad mini but need 4G (the iPad Pro is too big)

      Welcome to OZB

    • Amex apparently has no way of differentiating between your purchases (noted in previous Apple Amex deal for another iPad)

All they see is a purchase amount made at a specific retailer and not the item product brand.

      • This is correct. I just bought an iPad at Harvey Norman this week using the $100 Amex deal. Got my $100 credited within 48 hours.

      • Would this little oversight include gift cards?

        • I don't have Amex to test; Buy at your own risk I suppose.
