Hey guys, first time throwing up one of these deals. Not sure if it's duplicate or not, but seems like a good "monster" deal. Didn't bother checking availability in stores, as I got a few for Xmas stocking stuffers for the kids camping etc.

  • Wow this is a good deal, anyone know if these are any good?

    • +1

Disappointed we cant use Pick up.

How can you know if it's a good deal if you don't know if they are any good.

      • Well i'll let you know soon because i just got them, short review incoming.

        • +3

Okay these little binoculars are quite good, they're solid and heavy and that is a thing that i love in almost everything, the material they're made out of it some like.. grippy rubber, it looks nice and feels good to hold. I'm no binoculars expert soo… they do the job, they magnify well i can see stuff from afar, incase some people dont know, 10x25 means the magnification is 10x and the lens are 25mm in diameter. Great for 10 dollars, am happy with this purchase.

“Turn that squirt into a beautiful big squid with Tactical's 10 x 25 Waterproof Binoculars.”

    What is this unholy magic?!

    • +7

just now checked them in store, it looks pretty much like toy binoculars you can find in dollar shop, not worth the price imo

      • +14

Can't be right - these are both "Tactical" and "Pro" - pretty sure I saw footage of these being used by the guys who took out Osama!

        • +1

Of course, they also treated OBL's body with "reverence" and "respect" on the helicopter ride home just like they claimed on the news. That's just how trained killers act!

        • These binoculars are high speed and low drag, bro. Operators are standing by to take your order.

How does c&c work. Can't find this option anywhere

    • Cannot find the option either.

      • Hey guys, edited. Apologies - says available in store and just assumed. I'm working with my second coffee now, so brain is now functioning.

  • hm no click & collect in Auburn store?

  • No stock in Brisbane - any opinions if these are anything special at $20?

    • There were 2 in the Logan store when I left plus loads of the 8x25's

  • +2

    Possibly an ok deal pricewise.

But from experience I can say you start getting good quality binoculars at around the $200 mark.

Look for specs like Bak 4 glass in the lenses, and multicoated lenses.

There are no details given about these - plenty of specialist optics places if you want quality.

  • +8

If you had paid $85 for these, you are a bloody fool.

These look like the $20 binoculars you can get anytime, still, this is $20 with delivery so not a bad option.

    • +1

Agreed, but if you got a few of these as Xmas stocking stuffers for kids, these seem to be a good deal. I grabbed 7, as it saves me having to spend $25 a pop at Big W for something less practical.

  • Which one is better for Kids? I believe we can use water proof one for normal viewing as well ?

    • Yes +1 looking to get one for my 5yo..

    • +5

No, you can only use it in the rain.

      Your anaconda don’t want none?

      • +1

  • Bought one to spy on the girl next door, Thanks OP!!

    • +7

Make sure you combine it with a Xiaomi Dafang camera for the full girlfriend experience.

    • +3

      Tactical creeping

  • +4

The 8x25 is a better option if you keen on this, larger FOV. 10x binos are too shaky, especially for kids

    • +2

Look into the picture the quality is so bad that it even has a big gap atn the joint.

      • Yeah, both are bad. But choosing wrong magnification will make it even worse

  • +1

    Bought 4, thanks.

  • +11

I bought a pair of these binos and they are absolutely rubbish. As someone mentioned, these are dollar store quality binos. I don't know much about binos and I wasn't expecting legit $200 bino quality but man these are a total waste of money.

    • +1

There's a reason why these are $10 RRP, and $9.99 on special for 0.1 cent. Would you really expect much from something that is $10 RRP in terms of magnification? The only reason I would put up the deal for the other binoculars is because they're $84.99 retails. You would expect a little more value with those for $10. Hopefully I'm right.

      • +2

Not comparing it to the one that's discounted from $85. Someone listed other binos for $10 earlier and I just wanted to give my review. I expected a little bit more than dollar store quality since I thought Anaconda was more outdoors focused.

Not saying this deal isn't a bargain

  • +5

    +1 great deal OP.

You never know when you might need tactical binoculars:

    • Busting your neighbour sneaking their rubbish into your bin at 10pm on bin night.
    • Busting your neighbour putting their bin out in their jocks.
    • Busting your neighbour blowing leaves on to your driveway.
    • Busting your neighbour hosing down their driveway when on stage 3 water restrictions.
    • +1

Busting your neighbour walking the dog that poos in the common area

    • +1

You’re not keen on your neighbour are you?

    • +6

Do you really need binoculars to spot that 120kilo slow moving mammal less than 30m away?

      • +1

Just checked Google satellite view for skramits place and it is 31m away - so yes

      • +4

When I'm perched up on my roof in tactical gear and sniper camouflage, tactical binoculars are required.

      • Watching your neighbours having sexytime.

Thanks OP bought 6 for $60 delivered.

Quick question, if I tape these up all together, can it be used as a telescope?

  • thanks. got 1

  • I went to Anaconda Frankston store, and the sales man told me that somebody grabbed all of them just a while ago…

    Greedy people..

      Probably Broden.

    Out of stock online

  • Checked 9 in stock at Preston, drove down and found 1 which was unavailable for online sales as they had to open up the packaging to check. Thanks OP! Sold out in many places apparently

  • +1

Can I use these out of the water? I don't want to spend more money for a pair of goggles and snorkel.

  • Good deal for all the tight arse perverts on Oz Bargain.

  • +1

Excellent deal. Was the last piece of equipment needed before I start my new job as a commando…

    I'll be back!

  • Thanks OP! Ordered mine. If they are of decent quality, this will be one of the greatest deal.

  • Guys, FYI, there are still plenty available on Anaconda ebay

    • "This item is temporarily sold out."

  • i wouldn't believe the RRP. On a closer look at the photo they look very cheap (and not in a good way).

    • Doesn't Anaconda use a similar business model to Kathmandu: the "RRP" is merely a tool to make you think the price they charge 11 months of the year is a special offer?

  • snagged on ebay, cheers

  • Bought 2 of the 10x25 ,one for myself and one for kids present.
Opened mine and went bush , I think this particular model is excellent and soildly built , black ones are rubber over steel and glass lens,
once you play around a bit with the magnification and zoom they work ok
Beware ,some of the cheaper models were complete garbage , like the silver and black plastic ones

  • that's some price drop

i'm guessing they're as useful as the plastic ones in the toy shop for this price.

do they have real glass lenses or plastic?

  • +1

OOS online & on ebay. The store in Newcastle & Gosford is all sold out.
Edit: Ebay now only has the 8X25 plus $10 p&p HERE

  • +1

I picked up a pair of the blue lensed ones from Noarlunga today, took them outside, had a look through and took them straight back. Lenses were out of alignment and the focus adjustment was pretty hit and miss as to whether it did anything at all. Not worth even the $10 asking price as far as I'm concerned.

  • Just received an email saying that my order was cancelled due to a lack of stock.

    • Ah, that's no good. Sorry to hear, mate.

    • My condolences..

  • +1

This is my worst purchase from an OZB deal ever.
I bought a $2 item together with the binocular. Anaconda charged me $10 shipping cost, shipped out the $1 item but not the binocular.

*"Unfortunately we are unable to fulfil(sic) the item(s) shown below as part of your order.

You have not been charged for these items.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this cancellation may have caused.
    "*

Paying $10 postage for a $2 item makes me look stupid :(
Anaconda, I don't accept your apologies

  • Is anyone elses PayPal payment is pending awaiting authorisation?

In the email it states that I haven't been charged but they have taken the money of my account and not sure when it will be refunded.

  • I just got an email telling me they're cancelling the sale as they can't fulfill the order. I bought them 4 days ago and only now they're reneging on the sale. Clearly their online store does not have updated stock levels.

  • Back in stock online! 8x25 only.
    Here

  • If you can pick them up from a store they are probably worth the $10 as a present for a child,
I wouldn't have unrealistic expectations for $10 binos

  • Got my 5! Its night so cant really test it unfortunately.
