  • That’s a good deal, last time I needed to buy some I was almost swindled at officeworks for $1 a cd!

  • Isn't the 50 pack for under $5 a better deal?

    Edit. Now sold out.

    • Out of stock :(.

Great price i used to buy heaps of blank dvdr's now strangely they're so last century everything is just digital download now " i dont even have a DVD player in my PC now " Good for backing up something you dont want to lose though . So thanks for the deal

Do people still use these? I haven’t used a DVDR for years.

  • Good price, but I still have stock that I'll probably never use up.

  • Ffff- gone

    Meh DVD-R is so 2000's.

  • Order Summary
    100-Pack DVD-R Disc
    Model: 100DMR47S3
    Qty: 1
    No Longer Available
    SALE PRICE $12.49
    Sub total $12.49
    Delivery $9.00
    Total (Inc. GST) $21.49

Q1. How do you get $12.49 shipped?
Q2. Is it or is it not available? The web page asks for payment but the summary says it is not available.

    • This has been sold out so is no longer available. I don't know how you are getting to an order summary.

By the way the free shipping is for members only. As i recall new accounts get the first 3 orders with free shipping.

      • I actually got to Paypal, but I wasn't going to pay $9 for shipping.

        • Yes. I think the deal is over for this so the system is trying to charge shipping. Also i was wrong. It was free shipping for all member accounts during the Frenzy.

It wouldn't make any difference if you made the order any how as there's no stock left to fulfil the order.

  • Organic dye, do not rely on these dics for backups.

    • They all use organic dyes, did you think they had aluminium like pressed DVDs?

      • Just warning people since the op said "good for old fashion Backup etc." which isn't true

        • Curious, how long do you suspect a backed up DVD like this might last?

        • +2

@somethingguy: I'm no expert, I just did a bit of googling a few months back when I was overhauling my data storage & backups. I've heard of organic dye disks being unreadable in under a year and others being fine after 10, the point is they aren't reliable like archive m-disks / inorganic archive quality blurays etc.

        • Agreed but then sadly I've found some hard disks just die as well.. I guess the best thing is to keep multiple copies of precious data including at least one cloud-based backup.

Reminds me of the good old days when I used to get princo dvds for around this price.

    • ah…life was simple back then :)

  • Says "Available" on the store, but "No Longer Available" when added to the basket :(

Not worth posting as a seperate deal but there is a 10pk of DVD-R disks at Coles Turramurra for only $1.

Didn't get one though, still probably around 10 there. They were some known brand but I cannot remember for he life of me. This lack of details is why I'm not posting as a deal.

    • Knowing Coles it's probably those crap Kodak DVD-R that's made in China.

any suggestions what I can DVD-R for nowadays?
