If I was going to exclusively play this at Home, unless I really wanted mario or botw, I wouldn't get it.
But I use it a lot on the train and when I am at the gfs house and she watches rubbish tv

When did you buy it? You might be able to get a credit card price protection claim for an $80 difference depending on the timing.

@Micoa: Nah, nothing wrong with it. Just didnt need it anymore lol Rarely use it and it was taking up space in the apartment. They didnt ask for reason or anything just returned it, was quite simple. This was like 3-4 years ago though but their policy still remains the same.

I don't think this is the case anymore since I was almost rejected when I tried to return a brand new game back to Costco. They told me their return anything anytime policy no longer applies especially in Australia.

Just went on the Harvey Norman website live chat after putting the Neon console and Mario Odyssey in my cart, explained to them about Big W's deal, he then sent me a link via the chat which was a $100 promo code discount (to match Big W), so it brought the total price of the game and console down to $436.
I had saved the $100 off AMEX offer a while back just in case (never thought I'd use it at Harvey Norman), so I've bought the console and the game for $336 with in store pick up near where I work. It's out of stock at the moment at Melbourne QV but meh, I can wait a few days for it to arrive.

Got HN to price match and refund the difference over live chat from what I paid on Friday! Still above the $400 threshold for the amex deal. If only my Costco membership got me deals like OzBargain!
Also, it’s be worthwhile getting a promo code from HN for the $100 off from live chat by price matching this and wait for them to possibly drop the price on the site or another retailer to drop their price within 24 hours, making it even cheaper.

Finally thought I found a use for my Price Guarantee Insurance on my credit card after purchasing the switch from Harvey Norman for $449 two weeks ago.
Unfortunately the conditions prevent me from doing so :(. Item can't have been purchased online (Seriously!? It was delivered from my local HN) and I require a printed catalogue of the price to match (which I don't have from Big w).
There goes that idea… To me both those conditions are ridiculous (but not surprising).
Is this with Citibank Platinum? Just looking their terms and it seems to be similar, but they use the word 'exclusive' meaning you can purchase online, as long as it's not exclusively advertised online - I think?
CBA platinum in my case, no 'exclusive' wording though, just outright rules out online purchases.

It was around the same price for 2nd hand unit when EB had last 20% sale, I think was 375.
I just said to the customer service lady that I didn't see anything that said it was an online only deal. She brought the manager out and he agreed to the sale. It never hurts to just try.

It's a little risky though, they link the price match link to a name so you may need to show ID upon pick up if you do a click and collect.
