Does that mean only $5 cheaper than what's already available

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/351328

    • +5

Yeah sorry, we had this post all typed up a few days ago. We cannot predict what our competitors do. Are you hinting we should sell it cheaper??

      • yes. the customer is always right

        • +20

Alright, alright, enough with the arm twisting. Price updated.

        • +5

          @sm007h:

I've got you in a headlock, can you do a better price?

        • +30

@Scab: Your shit post about returning a plastic bag gives you a $10 voucher. Remind me in a few days. Now let me go, I can't breathe!

        • @sm007h: you sure you want Scab to purchase your products?

      • +6

NO need to be sorry. $5 cheaper is still cheaper. If i need a pair, i will buy from your store (lowest price at the moment).

  • +5

    Negging because significantly cheaper elsewhere:-

    https://crazyorwhat.com.au/product/bo-beoplay-h8-wireless-no…
    $699.00 - code ToyBox = $525.00 Free Shipping
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/B-O-Play-by-Bang-and-Olufsen-Beop…
    $379.26 - 5% code P5OZZIE = $360.30 + $28.28 Express Postage = $388.58 … 55.6% of OP's current price … 74% of OP's discount price

    • -1

Australian stock with local manufacturers warranty vs overseas retailer. Not an apples vs apples comparison.

Still great prices on items listed regardless, so..

      • +11

Negging PJC's comment kind of goes against what this website is all about, which is finding the cheapest price on the web.
        The price difference is signifcant.

        • +3

He'd also posted a negative vote which looks like it's been rescinded, so perhaps people were negging the neg?

        • +3

Negging an entire deal on the basis that one of the items listed can be obtained cheaper (internationally, mind you) is excessive and, arguably, not in good faith.

        • +9

He didn't neg the entire deal, he negged the B&O Beoplay H8, which is in the title, because he found it a lot cheaper elsewhere.

          Negative Vote
Purpose: To let others know about issues with the deal, merchant or product.

          Appropriate uses of negative vote
          Cheaper price elsewhere
Mention store or URL and price making sure to include shipping.

        • @WatchNerd: By casting a negative vote it is applied as such to the overall deal. Again, considering there's 6 other bargains it doesn't seem entirely appropriate.

          But that's just me.

        • +6

According to the guidelines it's a textbook neg vote.

        • +2

@WJD21: The OP has had a whole day to address the issue however has kept the Beoplay H8 earphones in the title for maximum advertising exposure.

    • +5

      What?? neg PJC?? Why??

This is ozbargain not payextra for no good reason. Be thankful PJC always double checks unlike most people here.

    • +1

      Now even cheaper elsewhere:-

      https://crazyorwhat.com.au/product/bo-beoplay-h8-wireless-no…
      $699.00 - code ToyBox = $525.00 Free Shipping
      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/B-O-Play-by-Bang-and-Olufsen-Beop…
      $379.26 - 10% code PUNCH = $341.33 + $28.28 Express Postage = $369.61 … 70.4% of OP's discount price … 52.9% of OP's price tomorrow.

  • +1

There’s a few things on their list that are quite a bit cheaper than anywhere else.

    • +8

I never understand why some people still want to compare local products with overseas products - if this happened to every deal, most deals won't make it over the line because Australia is not the cheapest place in the world.

      • +6

This awesome website is about posting bargains that are the cheapest price on the web, not Australia only.

        Before posting a bargain
Is this really the best price on the web?

        • +3

Yeah alright, I will bite this time. If someone advertises a product for $100 but charges $20 for delivery, but someone else advertises $110 with free delivery, you will take into account the cost of delivery right?

Australia has one of the best consumer protection laws in the world. Any slight deviations from ACL and the ACCC will jump on the offending party hard!

So you seem to just discount all the consumer guarantees under ACL that you get, as if it is worthless and should not take into consideration in the cost of the goods. If it was so cheap to comply to consumer laws, a lot of these overseas retailers will jump at the chance of doing business in Australia - look at the so called fat margins that appear to be in the products! Even Amazon is starting to realise the cost of doing business here.

Let's be realistic here, we would not be able to survive on the prices we are offering here if this is our only way of generating income. Our corporate customers are subsidising these deals so you guys can benefit.

So you guys can argue as much as you want about the "cheapest price on the web" part, but I contend that you have not taken into account all factors. If you believe it just has to be purely price alone, then basically a majority of all local mobile phone deals would be all negged.

        • +1

So you guys can argue as much as you want about the "cheapest price on the web"

I'm not arguing at all, just pointing out there are Deal Posting Guidelines to assist everyone who posts deals on here.

Members are liking your post anyway, it has reached the front page.

        • +4

          @sm007h:

… you will take into account the cost of delivery right?

I took into account my eBay find's Express Postage, your own Free Shipping, and the extra $136.42 you are charging your fellow OzBargain Members. Feel free to price match.

        • +1

@PJC: I think I have all I have to say about this issue, I am sure it will continue to crop up for all future deals. Feel free to purchase overseas if you find more value in that. Nothing wrong with that.

        • +7

@sm007h: Don't worry, most of us here still appreciate your deals, and your efforts to reduce prices on aussie stock

        • +3

          @sm007h:

We have milked our suppliers for everything so we can provide you with the best deals on the internet.

You've had 2 months to consider answering Member SDPwecjkln's inquiry …

so when you say you provide 'the best deals on the internet' you mean what exactly….?

        • @sm007h: I agree with you. Given the many posts we see on this site from people saying that they’ve got a problem and the site they went through is ignoring them then caveat emptor on the cheaper prices. My preference is bricks and mortar and I will pay a little premium to buy so I have somewhere I can go and whine to.

        • +1

          @sm007h:

There's a lot of daylight between $525 and $388, local stock or not.

Posting something on here without bothering to check eBay is pretty lazy.
The eBay link relates to the official B&O Play eBay Store in the UK, not some guy on a street corner.
That's the UK we're talking about - we share their Queen, yeah?

You still haven't matched the deal.
Negged as cheaper at their official eBay store where the Queen lives.

        • -1

@AngryChicken: Maybe with all your bargaining expertise, you’ll actually post something yourself one day?

        • +1

@AngryChicken: To be consistent, you should also neg this deal here

        • @sm007h: To be consistent, you should also honour this …

We have milked our suppliers for everything so we can provide you with the best deals on the internet.

… by price matching this …
          https://crazyorwhat.com.au/product/bo-beoplay-h8-wireless-no…
          $699.00 - code ToyBox = $525.00 Free Shipping
          http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/B-O-Play-by-Bang-and-Olufsen-Beop…
          $379.26 - 5% code P5OZZIE = $360.30 + $28.28 Express Postage = $388.58 … 55.6% of OP's current price … 74% of OP's discount price

… and at last answer Member SDPwecjkln's inquiry …

so when you say you provide 'the best deals on the internet' you mean what exactly….?

… and as for that deal Member jimbobaus expects not 1c but you charge your fellow OzBargain Members $310.42 more than a B&O eBay store or $136.42 more on Tuesday.

        • +2

          @aja12:

A little off topic there darling.

          @sm007h:

Yeah alright, I will bite this time.

You whine about the ACL. Well it's not that complicated: just don't shaft customers and you'll probably be fine. Most days the ACCC is fast asleep anyway, so i'm not sure why you fear them. Do you get a lot of flack from them?

I think if folk knew your true margins they would be a lot less sympathetic.

Corporate clients are subsidising your offers? I don't buy that for a moment, but if it's true you've got some explaining to do to your corporate clients.

I don't set the OB guidelines. The site is not intended as free advertising. As i said, there's daylight between one of your items and the price elsewhere. If it was marginal i wouldn't be that bothered. I don't see how your comparison with mobile phone offers is especially on point - people often want to buy phones locally for all kinds of reasons, such as quick repair/service. Headphones aren't like that.

Wimpering retailers don't get much truck here i'm afraid. Welcome to the free market.

        • @PJC: Update … I took into account that B&O eBay Store's Express Postage, your own Free Shipping, and the extra $155.39 you are charging your fellow OzBargain Members. Feel free to price match.

        • @PJC: Update … and as for that deal Member jimbobaus expects not 1c but you charge your fellow OzBargain Members $329.39 more than the B&O UK eBay Store or $155.39 more today.

      • +4

Here is a reason - it is a lot cheaper!.

        For f#$#ks sake!!!

        • And even cheaper now the difference has increased to a significant $155.39.

        • +2

@PJC: So i can get the headphones and visit Crystal at the brothel!

        • +1

@AngryChicken: Don't you get the discount? She speaks highly of you, well she did this morning anyway.

        • +2

@PJC: Have i told my brothel story yet? Was down at Kingsford years ago, and noticed a narrow stairway going up next to the fruit & vegie shop. There was a roof sign that said "Red Rose" and i thought "that's an odd location for a florist". I looked in the stairway to see a sign that gave the hours as something like 3pm-11am, and i thought "that's strange hours for a florist". My Pakistani mates (hey, they just happened to be from Pakistan) briefed me later that there were no less than 5 brothels in the immediate vicinity. Must be a lot of demand down there. Yes, every now and again i'm a naive klutz.

        • +1

@AngryChicken: You missed an opportunity for a group discount.

  • +1

    Great price for the 1000xm2s!

  • -1

So only 10 of the black Sony WH-1000XM2s in stock?

    • +1

We will update stock levels once we receive them in. It is hard to predict when we get stock because of the holidays. We are expecting a shipment next week.

      • +1

Do you have any stock or not? Also, if the stock is coming from Sony, they would have let you know if it is a partial delivery or full.

        • OP

What's with the bait promo? We have had promos almost every two or three weeks and we have never ran out of stock for those promos. The biggest issue we have at the moment is a lot of manufacturers are shut down during the holidays so our stock is low. We are trying to get more stock at the moment,

Ok OP, we'll take your word
Make it $300 :p. You'll either doesnt make any profit or lose abit of money but you'll get alot of exposure for Most Positive Vote at the boxing day.

        • +2

Our website shows our current stock levels. Like I said, when we receive stock in, we will update it. It is not about whether it is full or partial delivery - as I said earlier, we are expecting delivery early next week but there are some orders that were supposed to be delivered this week that was delayed until next week.

So I know this might sound repetitive, but it is the holidays - deliveries are unreliable. Especially from Sony.

      • So to confirm, as its a 1 day sale, only the ≤10 units in stock will be available for this price?

Or will you be accepting backorders during the sale in anticipation of the shipment due?

        • +2

Once we are sure shipment WILL definitely occur next week, we will accept backorders.

  • OP, I understand that delivery time is uncertain due to the time of year, but if we place an order and the order goes through, are we guaranteed stock? The order won’t get cancelled due to insufficient stock (but there would naturally be a shipping delay)? Thanks.

    • +5

We never cancel orders unless the customer requests it. That's why we are careful with what we display as stock levels. If you get the order, you are guaranteed delivery. If ozbargainers can wait until Jan 3rd, we can increase the qty even further.

  • Any chance you'll get some stock for qc35, and put them on sale too? please? pretty please? :)

    • +4

We would love to, but every time we get some stock of QC35s they get gobbled up with our backorders. We just don't get enough - and if we put 10 units up here, we would surely get complaints for "bait promo"

      • lol bait promo. at least its a promo haha

  • -2

    B&O Beoplay H8 only $299 @catch

    • +1

      Link? I can't see it

      • it is today's deal last time.

        • So it's not available?

        • +2

          @nexus4:

Those were H6 at Catch. Big difference

        • @berger:
          H8 at Dick Smith - $499 delivered
          https://www.dicksmith.com.au/da/buy/bo-beoplay-h8-ear-headph…

PS Actually, if you buy 5x$100 Kogan gift cards from Woolworths with 10% off you can get those headphones for $450

        • @pupkin:

Overseas H8 would be older packaging, surplus stock clearing though their ‘outlet’ store.

Not sure if the H8 went through a change as most other B&o headphones have a mk1 & mk2 so there could be that differences there

They are still cheap regardless. I have the H9 myself and love them.

  • Any chance on a massive deal on the dji drone, or even just a discounted price on the drone without the fly more combo?

    • +1

Let me see what I can do.

      • ♡. Fingers crossed for you to match the eBay deal from the mega hour earlier in the year.

        • Hey, did you want the standard Mavic Pro or the one with Fly More Combo?

        • @sm007h: Any deal would be awesome, could you match eBay's fly more combo for 990

        • @Mario1234: That was for the standard Mavic Pro, which is an awesome price and way below what we can do. I was going to direct you to that deal but a few minutes later, they ran out of stock. It's a bit difficult for us to negotiate a deal right now since most of the reps have gone on holidays.

        • @sm007h: ok thanks for trying, btw the eBay deal was definitely the fly more combo

  • Any deal on momentum wireless 2.0/HD1 over ears.. been hanging for a pair…

    • Is there demand for these? The last time we looked, any deals appear to have very low votes.

      • +2

Ozbargainers wouldn't know good sound if it hit them on the face… Hence why so many upvotes for qc35s

  • The link says
Sony WH-1000XM2 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones - $330 but the actual price on their website is aud $ 375 .

    • +1

Boxing Day Sale - Dec 26th.

    • +2

Dude, see the big bold blue font at the beginning of the posts title?

      • +1

        Thanks for the response

  • any qc35ii?

  • It says “Strictly One Day Sale” in the post and also “26-27” in the duration field. Could you clarify the start and the end time for the sale?

    • Just Boxing Day. Once it ticks over to 12am the next day, sale is over.

  • Are the B&Os worth the extra $ over the Sonys?

I love b&o products but they are always so bloody expensive

  • Aww price keeps going down like this. Bought two units of gold last week for $345 each and found a bit annoying for TRS as tax invoice shows two of these in a single buy and we have to share. Now it’s cheaper and no need to share. Should have waited. Anyway very well done COW

    • +4

where can you find the WH-1000XM2 for cheaper + aus stock. I'm legitimately asking

      • In the back of his cousin's van ;)

      • +2

We have consistently lowered the bar on pricing of these products but there are those that complain its not good enough. Can't please them all.

        • Your price is pretty good, but at the wrong time. Had you offered this before Christmas I'd bought two. Instead I bought from JB Hi-Fi for $450 each. I would have paid $380+ delivery (Sony WH-1000XM2).

    • Rather than post a vague comment, how about some actual prices?

  • Sale starts 25th mid night??

    • +1

      Yes, starts 00:00 26th, and ends 23:59 26th.

  • -2

My mother always told me boxing is pure laziness…

No, she said not checking eBay before posting is pure laziness.

Lucky i'm here to set the record straight.
    Ho Ho Ho.

  • +1

Interested in the B&O H8, but from the reviews, SQ isn't too good…(not for the asking price?)

  • Can you offer the SONY TLW? Because I will leave Australia.

    Regards

    • Not sure about this - we will have to check. This part of the Sony site seems vague:-
"The TLW is available at retail stores within Australia, offering Duty Free, (or GST free) purchasing of Sony products within the TLW program."

So does this mean duty free only stores or stores that can provide GST free pricing and not just general stores, or does it mean all stores, including duty free stores?

      • To be honest, I do not know…. I just know if I want to use warranty outside Australia, I need this. You guys provide the invoice with GST so I think it should be OK. I asked Videopro staff on ebay and they said they can provide, so just want to know the details because it is important to me.

        Regards

        • We are a B2B company new to retailing, so we haven't come across this before. It seems we have to register with Sony beforehand, so I will let you know once we find out about the procedure.

        • @sm007h: Thanks! Regards

        • @sm007h: Hello, can you supply the TLW now? it is already the Boxing day and TLW is important for those who will leave Australia.

          Regards

        • @wsj3514112: sorry mate, sony rep wont be in until tomorrow. I havent forgotten, dont worry

        • @sm007h: Thanks for your reply, so you mean you need to ask sony rep tomorrow? but the sale is just today……By the way, Can I order a black one and once you get the black one, you send it to me, is it OK?
