First post @ US$19.99 - this is the introduction to Rihanna and my 2-cents about why I chose to buy the Xiaomi umbrella over the Blunt umbrella deal.

Second post @ US$18.99 - beating the first post and sold out fairly quickly.

Due to popular demand, I present to you the Xiaomi Umbrella at US$18.80 - not a big drop in discount, but I'm trialling a new direct link method with LITB. There is no limit to the amount you can buy, no need to fumble with the discount code. However, during my test, I noticed that the "free shipping" option is greyed out if the quantity is more than "1", so I guess the workaround is just to make multiple orders.

LITB Checkout process:
1- Add to cart and proceed to checkout
2- Select "Postal Service - No Tracking" US$0.00
3- Untick shipping insurance
4- Choose payment method (default should bePaypal, unless we have Nigerian princes on OzB who want to pay by Western Union)
5- Verify final payable price is "$18.80" (USD) before proceeding to Paypal

Yes, Gearbest is currently a bit better with their service and shipping times (with the "Australia Priority Mail" option for a measly ~15 cents extra, but IMHO LITB is catching up and because this deal does not have a discount code, it'd qualify for the cashback from:

CashRewards - 5% cashback - link here, or
PricePal - 3.60% (founder) or 2.00% (regular) link here

So with Cashrewards, you'd get US$0.94 back so technically you'd be out of pocket US$17.86, which is around $22.75 AUD.

I have just received my umbrella from the last Xiaomi deal, so I haven't used it yet, but it comes in a typical white Xiaomi thick box. My very first impression upon unboxing is that for a product like this, with such packaging and stuff, if it were to be sold in department stores like Myer and David Jones, you'd probably be happy to fork out $40+ for it.

      I had that issue as well due to the phone number being incomplete. Every time I added the phone number it would remove it and and say that the shipping address is incomplete. I got it to work by clicking the button to update the stored address book information. I added the phone number in there and then went back to the checkout.

          No worries. I should also point out that I initially went through the Paypal checkout method and it pre-filled all the information except the phone number. Think that might be why the info was already in the address book as I don't recall ordering anything from the site before.

    Anyone know how wide the canopy of this umbrella is? Is it wide enough to fit two people. I know there's an image of two people in the product description but I'd like to know hands on experiences.

    My bunnings umbrella was like $5 (maybe $10) and seems the sturdiest umbrella I have ever owned. Maybe it doesn't look the best or most fashionable, but my main concern is not getting wet and having umbrella flip inside out and break when you really need it, in heavy rain and storms.
    Is there anything that makes this umbrella better, other than looking better and being of a lighter weight perhaps than the bunnings umbrella (which is a bit heavier than most umbrellas).

      It's very hard to give you reasons. It's just an umbrella after all. An analogy is like trying to compare cars; it's just a vehicle getting you from A to B, so it comes down to your preference in terms of aesthetics, comfort, features etc.

      If you're happy with the Bunnings brella than that's good, but seems you yourself have already pointed out 2 things the Xiaomi one is better :)

      This is a good price to give it a try. I'm happy with mine.

    After over 4,000 clicks in 8 hours, I'd say their available quantity to offer at US$18.80 has been exhausted. Looks like there is only one single shipping option with tracking for US$8.82, suffice to say it no longer makes this a bargain, so I'm going to mark post as expired.

    I hope everyone who has been waiting for this was able to get 1 (or 2), as well as the people who have PM'ed me to request/remind. This was the third run and I made announcements way before the deal became active, so if you did miss it, maybe you should see Scotty to have your Ozbargain membership revoked.           Yes i did, in order history it actually shows the full shipping address including the postcode and states. just a bit worried when i dont see the postcode and states in the email shipping notice.

    Got mine today as well. Love the auto open and close feature however I feel the shaft is quite loose and easy to bend which doesn't inspire the greatest confidence. Might be a design feature to resist the wind though.
