    • I know, me too!

  • Are there any T&C excluded these tickets on new movies?

    • None that I can see yet. Will look some more

      • cant use on saturdays after 5pm as well

      • I went through the entire transaction process and can't find any extra info. Just says all sessions except after 5pm saturdays. I've used this type of deal for event cinemas and Hoyts before and have never had any exclusions.

    • Try the direct Village link that spinbot posted above. I can get that page but not the home page, but that's all that matters really isn't it? :-)

quick warning…it says enter name of patron that uses it so technically they might print your name on the ticket and then ONLY you can use it…i.e. with identification

i was going to buy 4, but 40 tickets in 6months is insane…and the risk of not being able to share with mates is a risk i won't be taking

10 tickets is enoughh for me

just a warning that you may not be able to share these (i myself am unsure)

    • Good point, however, in the past this has never been the case ie your name is not on each voucher and no ID has been required.

I'll see if I can get a proper confirmation but it would be inconsistent with the way they do business if you are right

      • Yep, will be unlikely to get name printed on these tix … I have been buying these for the last 4 years and no tix has got my name on it :)

    • It does? I didn't see that field…

I think it's because the system is designed for selling ordinary concert tickets. What you'll be getting is simply ordinary Movie vouchers. No problems with ID and being linked to your name only, etc.

    • I doubt if it will be a problem even if it has your name printed on it. People go to the movies together so you wouldn't expect your wife's and kids' names printed on the voucher. And I doubt if they will ask if one the people in the group has the name and photo ID, imagine the holdups it will cause. And there is nothing in the T&C saying you can't give away vouchers.

  • When does it expire?

    • 6 months from when its issued to you

  • Uh-oh. I went through it once and got a "transaction failed" error. Went through it again and was successful. Check my account and it's been debited twice. :/

  • Anyone who is seeing the "website is down" splash page. Try http://mcapplause.com.au then click on Movie vouchers and choose "Village Movie Vouchers - MasterCard special offer - All States"

    Hope it helps

  • I wonder if they're going to cancel any orders, 'coz it says "until allocation is sold out" - and I wonder if their site tracks inventory, or keeps taking orders well after they've run out of tickets.

Note: these AREN'T the offpeak vouchers and can be used on Fridays, Saturdays (but not after 5pm) and Sunday, so the price is incredible.

Another note: you'll still have to pay the "3D tax" if you use these to see 3D movies.

    • It's easy to track inventory, just a counter of the number of books sold so far.

      • You'd think so, but so many sites don't. Heck, even with the ones that DO have inventory tracking such as CotD, there are still problems.

        • Well it's not as if they have to go count widgets remaining in a stock room. And if they have been selling tickets to events, they ought to have a clue. (I hope.)

  • Thanks, great deal !!

  • Nice find

  • site not work anymore. Crash-a-thon ?

  • +1

    No Marion SA :(

  • Just got mine. I don't go to the movies alot, but there is bound to be 10 movies worth seeing in the next 6 months. Or 1 movie worth seeing ten times
Big points for pointing it out

  • Also got a Tefal Performa Fry Pan 20cm for $14.21 as I got a $25 discount from https://www.alwaysonsale.com.au/
The deal just keeps getting better!!

And since my Mastercard is with Bankwest, I would've never got the email.
    Thanks jug_head.

    • LOL I tried posting that alwaysonsale deal, but it's a banned site on OzBargain!

    • haha you're welcome mate.

  • Just bought 2 books, thanks for sharing! :)

  • Thanks for posting this.
Im also looking at something o use the $25 discount on.

    • Ok.. I just got my movie tix. I just kept trying like suggested above. Thankyou!

  • Did the site crash coz of a sellout or was it because of the cyber attacks as a result of mastercard withdrawing support for wikileaks?

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/news/2010/12/101209_cyber_…

    • LOL interesting thought, but I doubt it!

    • +1

      I am :(

    • Now available but price is now $108 for "Screen Saver" version.

  • "Unfortunately, we have sold out of our allocation of tickets for this event."

  • Anyone receives their movie tickets yet?

    • I haven't received mine either. Anyone received theirs?

    • Nope, CC's been charged but nada. It did say 2 weeks, and if you add in the silly season delay, I wasn't really expecting to see them until after Christmas.

    • I just got mine today.

  • It doesn't even look like they have charged me yet… Is there any way to check on my order status? :/

  • Mine just arrived, with due dates of September 2011 - w00t!

  • Got mine as well with redemption dates of September 2011.
Going to save them for birthday presents.
Just wish they'd come with a sleeve or something to hold them in.

  • I still haven't recieved mine
    Something must have gone wrong

  • haven't received mine either …
hopefully they arrive by Tues 4th …

  • I also havent received mine :-( They are 'I owe you' christmas presents :-/

  • Im also Still waiting.. Hopefully they come soon.
Please post when you receive them people!

  • I'm still waiting for the tickets. Don't think Australia Post can take over 3 weeks to deliver a tiny postage - even during Xmas/NY period. I received all my other stuff bought during this period.

    • My bad, just found out I already received it. The envelop got lost in all of the mails i received during Xmas - probably got it around 23Dec.

  • All you guys who haven't received it yet, was your credit card charged?
