    GOing to plead ignorant here. I have a 4K tv, but assuming I wouldn't be using it for 4k blurays, is there any benefit to the XB1S over the original XB1? From what I gather besides HDR the answer would be no difference in games.

          Netflix streams in 4K, as well as YouTube. Might be a few others, but I definitely know those two do.

          Quieter, slightly different internals.

          Other than that, no. It's not meant to be an "upgrade" per se. It's more like the Xbox 360 Slim. Buy the Slim / S if this is your first one. Upgrade if you want. Otherwise, your old one is fine.

      Also note if your original has Kinect, this lacks the dedicated Kinect port and I don’t think you can get the free adapter any more. Since Kinect has ceased production that adapters skyrocketed in price.

      Games with Gold is what does it for me. I subscribe to Xbox Live and my kids get a ton of games. When I finally upgraded to Xbox One S from 360 they already had a game library ready to go. Around $60/yr if you go with specials etc.
