This deal or the Lenovo if you want to add a GPU?

      • +1

Only the Lenovo and only a low profile GPU.

    • How hard is it to get Win10 back on these?

      • +1

Should be as simple as building a Windows 10 ISO bootable USB, wiping the existing install and installing Windows 10.
Windows Product Key is in the BIOS so should auto activate.

      • +1

Shouldn't be too hard. Just use the Windows Media Creation Tool and do a fresh install of Windows 10.

    • +1

NOTE that these are missing the Wifi/Bluetooth card and antennas.

I'd suggest getting the previous model (8th gen Intel) : https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/195227349270
Only slightly slower, but cheaper, otherwise the same, has WiFi/BT.

If you want more RAM, see recent deals for Crucial on Amazon.

    • so many dongles

    • Iv bought a few of these machines and they have worked well and arrived quick but the win11 thing baffles me. Not truely compatible and a waste of time on old hardware. Win10 much better choice (or linux)

      • the win11 thing baffles me.

Windows 10 is due to end support in about 3 years.
With Windows 11 pre-installed, these machines will keep chugging along past 2025.

          • @macmanluke:

except window update complains about being unsupported hardware and wont update

This is not true. When you set the reg keys to bypass the minimum requirements, Windows will happily accept the hardware and update with no issue.

            • @Nom: It will work today, but it may not work in x years.

Buy 7-10m ones, and a proper local shop/brand you will be annoyed at how much extra you may need at some public charging stations,

You will likely never have to replace the cable so spend abit extra and get 7-10m branded one,

Great little keyboard for the living room. Not for gaming, coding or shitposting. Sufficient for posting on OZB tho :)

      • +1

        Perfectly fine for gaming.

        • It's quite tiring for my liking, also missing the numpad makes the keys harder to find (the little thingy on number 5 is really important to calibrate where my fingers are). Probably just me.

    • +2

      If only it was backlit

      • Would have been an insta buy if backlit. Bonus if RGB.

    • Wish it was USB-rechargeable!

      • I don't mind my keyboard needing regular batteries if they last a long time. Usually they last ages.

This is a good price but without a COA, you don’t know what you’re putting in your body…

      • you don’t know what you’re putting in your body…

I was going to say. People are buying stuff (in this case random powder) on eBay and put it into their body??

    • +1

hmm is the scam back? back in those days a few online shops was found actually just selling skim milk powder to public

    • "whey" winkwink*

    • +1

I bought WPI from this seller a month ago, there is no chance it is actually wpi. Maybe concentrate or just milk powder. Super yellow and sweet.

    • "Deal on random powder" - no thanks.

    • Neg for issue with supplier as per above

    • Yeah that's a no from me. No COA as mentioned which is a huge red flag.

Merged from Samsung eBay Box Damaged Soundbars
    Go to Deal

    Hi Guys,
Samsung Ebay are selling a few Soundbars with damaged boxes. I just bought a Q930B for just over $500 with the voucher. Get in quick though as theres not much stock.

    • +1

The voucher I used to take $50 off was FEBSNS23

    • Price in title?

    • Thanks. Grabbed a Q700B for ~$330

    • +2

65” S95 OLED @ $1.91k if you use the $100 off coupon they show on the page is unreal…

      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/304812649647?epid=5056088277&has…

      • Very low feedback from the seller, should I be concern ?

        • -1

          Well, it is Samsung themselves

          • @brocky2006: Less than 90% positive feedback. That’s really poor for a name brand like Samsung

      • That is an insane price for that TV.

    • Has anyone got their order. I got some erroneous sms’s from Samsungs courier ANC, which said that my selected date for delivery wasn’t available (even though I didn’t select one) and to call ANC. Then I called ANC and they said Samsung has cancelled the order, and to chase Samsung. Called Samsung and they said their e-commerce department can’t give me info on their ebay store orders, that I should message them on eBay. So I messaged them on ebay and got an auto reply that they are out of office till the 25/03/2023 and not responding. This is all seeming really odd now.

      • Lots of discussion over here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/758630

        • Yep, been reading that. It really seems like a hot mess, no idea if the item will arrive or not.

      • +1

Got the same SMS couple of days ago. Called ANC just now and was told Samsung is moving warehouse in Victoria and won't be doing any deliveries in March. So won't be delivered until April. No idea if that's true or not.

  • +2

I hesitated. I lost OMGS. there were still 5 available. I tried to use cashback to save a few $$ and now it's OOS.

    • +1

The 990b is $742 if you have the voucher!

      • Thanks mate - picked one up! Convincing myself it's worth the extra $$ haha

        • Yeah definitely! Hopefully delivery and everything goes smoothly. I can't wait to try it.

      • Which one is better value? Is the 930b good enough for a medium size home? Bought that one but didn’t notice the 990b

        • +1

Q930b for small medium is more valued. However if you're really heavy into bass content, Q990b might be worth splashing the extra money.

    Coupon Code: FEBSNS23

Equal record low price for a new Sony X90K 65" TV (full array local dimming), even lower if you have the $120 off code SNSMD….

AS NEW: This item may have damaged carton. It is an unused & undamaged item in its original packaging.

Past OB comments indicate that Sony "Box Damaged" are indeed new, sometimes with damaged looking packaging.
Some people reckoned not all are truly "Box Damaged", more like Sony's backdoor way of undercutting the retail stores 😉

    • +2

      Whoa! Ultra smart TV!

Chatgpt built in. Questions your life choices and why you are watching MAFS and Sunrise

    • +4

Another tidbit worth mentioning at the bottom - a lot of people have posted issues with buying from Sony direct through this avenue, which is what turned me off buying one of these exact models in the past - I remember reading about things being damaged or not working on arrival and returning them taking way longer than it should. Just a word of warning.

      • -2

Yeah, I'd like to know also.
I'd feel more confident to purchase, IF Sony Store can verify, in writing, that the contents have been removed, physically inspected for any external damage and tested in working order.
I'd be prepared to pay a little bit extra for that peace of mind.

        • +1

          From the listing:

AS NEW: This item may have damaged carton. It is an unused & undamaged item in its original packaging.

Items purchased on the Sony eBay Store are only able to be returned if deemed faulty. We do not allow for change of mind. If you have received damaged, defective or incorrectly shipped merchandise, please notify Customer Service within 30 days through the eBay message centre to arrange a return.

As the products being sold may be manufacturer refurbished or factory seconds, minor cosmetic variations may occur. These cosmetic variations have been checked by our Sony Authorised repair agent and do no impact the function of the product. We cannot accept refunds for items based on appearance.

All items available to purchase on the Official Sony eBay Store are covered by a full 12 month Sony manufacturer warranty from Sony. Sony provides invoices on all purchases via an email with a PDF.

          • -5

@dm02: You are referring to REFURBISHED items.
I am responding to THIS POST which is clearly mentioned BOX DAMAGED.

            • +2

@dusty4: The details I provided are straight from the eBay listing in the OP… did you just see the word "refurbished" and decide to not read the rest?

              • -5

                @dm02: I can read.
The listing opens with reference to BOX DAMAGED goods . Not Refurbished, which is described later in the listing.
                Two separate things.
My concern was for BOX / CARTON damaged specifically. I would have thought I was clear about that.

                • +1

@dusty4: It says "may be manufacturer refurbished or factory seconds".

Regardless, the very first line clearly states that it "may have damaged carton", and is "an unused & undamaged item".

                  • -5

@dm02: Your clearly missing the full meaning and terms of the Sony listing.
It is GENERIC. It's referring to ALL possible variations to the types of goods offered and available from their eBay site.
In THIS instance, it's DAMAGED BOX.
In other eBay Sony listings you will see that they use the same Description dialogue for ALL of their offerings. But, if the goods are REFURBISHED, they clearly state that in the TITLE.
                    " BOX DAMAGED" …. "REFURBISHED"
                    Different…Get it?

                    • +1

                      @dusty4: selective reading lmao

                      • -4

                        @dm02: Yes, that's exactly what you're doing.
Make sure you always take an adult with you when you need to sign anything.
You can always contact Sony, and hopefully they will explain it to you …. slooowly.

                        • +3

@dusty4: You should probs skip on over to JB and pay that little extra you were talking about.

      • +2

I can confirm that this is true. I bought 65x90j certified refurbed, arrived with a line across the screen. Took about 1 week for them to pick up. Then when followed up, Sony said that they can't track the return hence they won't replace nor refund until they get an update on their forwarder. CS just keeps apologising but really is no help. At the end, I opened a case in paypal and they refund at the very last day when they have to respond to paypal. Whole ordeal is just about 1 month. The TV's PQ is amazing, shame the customer service is shite!.

        • +1

Wow that's crazy. Glad PayPal paid up

        • +1

This post is “box damaged”, not to be confused with “seconds” or “refurbs”. Seems like a few commenters were talking about the latter…

          • @Buy2Much: The point is that the return/refund process is too long from this ebay store if luckily encountered a damaged product regardless if box damaged or refurb.

          • -1

@Buy2Much: Thankyou. That's the exact point I was trying to make here to our fellow member @dm02
Trying to help sometimes falls on deaf ears.
            Thanks again… Cheers

      • I bought a 55" a few weeks back and the TV worked fine but the TV stand brackets were from a different model and wouldn't fit. Sony was helpful after I took a lot of photos, and sent me new legs after a few weeks, but it wasn't ideal having the TV propped up for a few weeks while we waited.

    • +1

Have one of these, they are great in well lit rooms, but quite bad in dark rooms if you are picky like I am. Backlighting is quite bad.

    • +1

Another day, another deal on TVs, and here I am still waiting for TCL C835 to drop in prices. Patience is a virtue and defintely running thin at the moment….

      • +2

Worth waiting for.. It's a great TV.

      • Looks like there was a deal here on ozb just last week. Or were you after the 65/75? What's so good about this model? Is it the same/better/worse than the other full array local dimming etc stuff?

        • Yup, I am after the 75" one… has top specs, mini LED with great dimming zones, Dolby Atmos + Vision, support HDR10, some have claimed sound is so great you dont need soundbars etc…and to go with TCL's 3rd yr warranty, I am kinda fully sold to get that one nailed in the media room (which is well lit hence takes OLED out of the equation) Let me know if I can consider other options in a similar price range..

    • +2

Might be a stupid question, but why do companies like Sony lower the cost of TVs with damaged boxes? Can't they just put it in a new box?

      • +1

Getting rid of the old inventory to make space for the new models coming in

      • +3

Cost more to rework them into new cartons, not worth the labour cost.

      • +3

It's a cheeky way to keep stock turning over without looking like they're undercutting their retail customers I guess, even with new models. I purchased a box damaged TV of a model that was a couple of months old and the box was in perfect condition when it arrived.

    • The lowest price for this model was $1349 last month when ebay had 20% discount ($300max).

    • +3

Come on Sony, give us XR75X90K for $2k.

    • sigh.. this deal is 1 year too late ..

      I've paid 2.4k for x90j :(

    • +1

      No, thanks
