    • They won't price match on the ebay store. You can try to cancel and then order with this deal, but not much chance.

    • You should be fine to cancel the other order and buy through this deal. consumer law and TGG return policy allow you to return/cancel orders.

      • Thanks, yeah that is what we did, we cancelled the order, tried to place another one at the front desk, but because we still had our order in the system and they only had 1 in stock I ended up having to buy it from another store.

        • worth it for a big ticket item.

there is interesting psychology in bargain hunting. We wouldn't travel to the next shop for a 1.5% discount when we are already there ready to buy. this makes sense for $100 item ($1.50 saving) however when we are buying big ticket item like a car. that 1.5% could be $225 for just driving over to the next suburb.

Great, try to purchase and when paypal returns, i get an error saying "Something went wrong, please try to check out again".
I do this, and the same error repeats. No stock issues, still saying available and in stock.
Checking my purchase history, and i had multiple purchase of the same item, but get errors if i try and click through on the orders: "Order Service temporarily unavailable or invalid parameters in the request URL"

Anyone else with the same issues??

    • +1

yep, getting the same problem as well.

    • +1

I've had this numerous times with previous eBay codes. eBay support couldn't fix anything through live chat so just gave up and didn't purchase the items.

      • +1

Have tried different eBay acct and different web browser, hasn't helped at all. been sitting in the chat queue for quite a while now, but it doesn't sound promising!

Edit: Chat have reported multiple people with this issue. No immediate assistance can be provided, will investigate within 24 hours… … Won't guarantee stock / sale at that price though, regardless. They're indicating the Good Guys payment setup is where the issues are.

        • +1

Exact same issue. eBay blaming the Good Guys store for incorrectly setting up their system or something, apparently a problem on their end. Sent Good Guys a message via eBay about it.

this is what's happening to me. I just gave up trying to order it. ugh.

    • Same issue. how to resolve?

    • It won't let me order multiple items. I did them individually.

      • Did that solve the error?
I only tried to order one item, still end up with the "Something went wrong" error

        • looks to be something on eBay's end with stock. Hopefully they fix before tomorrow. Hit up chat and request a cart setup for you.

        • @umadbrahhhh: Ebay chat and email help just said TGG ebay has problem and they are fixing it. I thought it was related to their Click & Collect, so I tried to reorder with delivery and it works.
The awesome thing is the order got redirected to a store that I am intending to click & collect from, so it works out just nice. I gave them a call and TGG said it is fine for me to come & collect the item and they will refund me the delivery fee.

        • @richrichie: chat has advised me they are aware of the issue. Put me on list of affected users. Promised me code if they did not resolve by the time PICK20 expires.

        • @umadbrahhhh: any update as I getting similar error when trying to checkout.

  • Think I'm waiting for a list of un-jacked items to be posted

  • +1

Can't place my order! Just keeps returning with error messages saying to try processing payment again. Then when revisiting the order, an error comes up saying, "Order service temporarily unavailable or invalid parameters in the request URL." WTF

Have tried twice now, don't really want to risk being billed multiple times.

  • Any good deals on dishwashers?

    • I bought the Bosch SMS40E08AU for $516, reviews are good. Same model is $746 at appliancesonline. Definitely no price jacking here.

        Thanks! Bought too hehe

  • Any Iphone X deal??

Like someone said earlier… Not exactly sitewide sale when they take products off their page or if its popular raise the price a bit because they don't want to sell them to cheap. I remember them doing this same thing for years with their eBay sales.
They are not listing over half the TV's they have!

  • How can back on November with the same 20% eBay sale the sunbeam grill was at $20, but now it's $34?

    Price jack?

    • Are you serious? You're comparing a sale from 4 months ago, prices can go up or down due to demand.

      • I understand, but it's still a 70% increase in 4 months.
Massive increase in a short period of time which could be easily interpreted as a price jack.

        • 4 months is hardly a short period of time in the retail business. 4 months is a different season.

Massive increase in a short period of time which could be easily interpreted as a price jack.

          Nope.

  • Not sure about other areas but there are some good deals on small appliances.
I'm collecting in store a coffee machine and a Braun iron that were genuinely 20% of the current going prices.

  • Google WiFi for $332.5

75n7 ordered. Ready for pickup… wonder if it will fit in my new Tiguan ? Maybe out of the box it will?

    • +3

      Don't forget to upvote.

      • +2

Done! Fit like a glove (out of the box) now to wall mount!

  • Went to checkout on an item and the listing was ended with plenty of stock available across the state. Not sure why they bother having these sales if they don't want to sell things..

Thanks OP, got a humax PVR twin tuner 500GB for less than $240. No price hike here

  • Google Home Mini - $59.20 each - Click and Collect.

Took several tries as ebay listings with these kind of promos seem to be very buggy as described by others (listing ending with plenty of stock) but got there in the end with some Weber accessories. Cheers @tightarse

  • They make up with charging individual postage for every item you buy in the same transaction.

  • Got kindle paperwhite for 139.2, waited for a long time, since January. Finally got it. Binglee didn't have stock at my local store last week. Many bought in the morning. A bit disappointed that the TGG store I visited, they initially say no black ones left even though I bought the black one. Took them a while to find the black one.

  • After getting so many free books, can now read it in kindle, so amazon recoup the cost by selling kindle.

Thanks finally ordered the large Hisense fridge. Not as cheap as once it has been but still better than full price :)

  • Thanks, just bought a Nikon D3400

  • Hi peeps - people still getting issues with the payment error this morning?
Trying to buy 2x aircons with pickup in Melbourne…

  • Does anyone know if I can buy the additional warranty in store if I buy from their eBay store?
    Cheers

    • +1

Extended warranties are a scam. Goods should be expected to last a reasonable amount of time. So for a large purchase like a tv, it should be expected to last well over 12 months.

In other words you are already covered under Australian Consumer Law.

Don’t mislead consumers about their rights
You must not tell customers they should approach the manufacturer or importer of the good for assistance – the seller must deal with the problem when approached.
You must not suggest that their consumer guarantees are limited to any warranty period – the consumer guarantees apply regardless of any warranties in place.

  • Bummer, though I saw this deal ended on the 14th, so missed it! Is it ebay or TGG that covers the 20% off on this deal?
