Anyone know if the 4TB hard drive shuck-able?

and the 55N6 is a fantastic price

I know a friend who just bought a 43inch at JB for $698

    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/tv-home-entertainment/hd-televisio…

    lol

    • Yes, I have shucked plenty of these in my time (in various capacities).

      • Same model? I understand manufacturers have clamped down on it recently.

    • yes, the drive is suckable and it's a GRET price … amazon without the wait and local supplier …. like to help local jobs when possible, yes can be shucked, the WD can't.

only problem is its 15mm (not 7mm or 9mm) thick so might be tricky to get into some laptops, but fine for small NAS, desktops, towers, etc or leave in case and can shuck if the USB board fails.

Just ordered the Hisense 55N6 55" for $572 also discussed here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/365469. As OP said, chose "buy now" from the link https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Hisense-55N6-55-139cm-UHD-LE… and still got to enter the PICK20 code. Hoping it doesn't get cancelled between now and 1.30 when it says it should be ready for pick-up

And got my confirmation within 30 mins. Going to collect before they change their mind! (in Melbourne, BTW)

      • I'm in the same boat as you. Just got my confirmation and heading over.
Very nice present for my folks. I will pretend I paid through the nose for it!

    • I couldn't add it to my cart but could buy it now. Fingers crossed!

      • Aaaand despite it being in stock at my local store at the time of order, my invoice states:

"NO STOCK AVAILABLE, AWAITING TO HEAR BACK ABOUT INCOMING STOCK"

I don't think they're going to honour this deal.

    • I'm on this 1 too, got worried when it appeared out of stock when I clicked through, found another store with stock, so $572 if they don't cancel it lol (In Melbourne too)

      Edit… forgot my cashrewards…

Which store has stock available? I am getting error everytime I check out.

        • I found stock at Essendon, my old man is there getting 1 now.

        • +1

          @Testeagle:

I tried northland and cranbourne, but with no luck. Finally tried Frankston and got it through. Waiting for the email to be picked up. 30km drive from my house is worth it :)

        • @keepkool: mate, does this unit can be fit inside a regula toyota camry?

        • Watergardens/Taylors Lakes is where I picked mine up from.

    • My old man is picking mine up as we speak, so they are honouring deal, on good guys docket it say $715 as well, only on PayPal receipt does it say $572.

  • Hisense out of stock in WA :(

  • +1

Your knife block deal is also cheaper :) Just picked one up for the Mrs.

  • Getting an error at checkout. Quantity is not available ?

    • Are you clicking buy it now? Not add to cart.

      • Click Buy Now then went to check out.
Enter code and click and collect and use paypal. Last click confirm then error

This item isn't available in the requested quantity. It may have been purchased already, or the listing has expired.

        • Argh, sorry. I did everything but that last click to test it, thought it was working as someone earlier purchased it but seems there's no longer stock.

        • No need to be sorry.
You did it great job already.
But th question is how do w buy these tv?

        • @sillycow:

Yeah not sure if they are supposed to be in stock but there's an error, or they are no longer selling them but didn't remove them properly.

Also wondering if others are having the same issue with the hard drive and Sony TV?

I know the knife block and power bank are okay. Dishwasher also working.

        • +1

          @hamza23: it is work now

    • Getting the same thing when I try to purchase the Hisense TV. Clicked buy it now but when I go to pay its says quantity not available.

      • Not sure why if the quantity was available at the ebay website.
Is there a way to retify this?

        • I tried choosing a different pick up point and it worked the second time

        • @scottc90:

I could only choose delivery. I'm based in Brisbane.

        • @scottc90:
Unfortunately there's only 1 store for click and collect

  • -8

    Doesn't work for 65 and 75 I am afraid.

  • +2

tried to buy a Hisense 65N7. They did not increase the price, but no stock to start.
I really don't understand, what is the discount for? They want more people buy or they are loosing money in deal?

  • I got the same error message, tried collecting from a different store and it worked. A little annoying but worth it for a great deal

    • Nice, was that the 55N6 or 75N7?

      • 55N6 mate

  • Got a 75N7 at 10am on the dot. Hoping it fulfills.

  • The Sony X9000e seems to have disappeared from the store on my side, or I’m just looking in the right spot.

    • Here's the direct link. Hopefully that works, if you can't see the listing it might mean it's not in stock in your area, I could never see the knife block listing but it's there in the main link (6 items total).

      • Thanks heaps :) Could you please send me the link for the Hisense too? Sorry, I can’t find that either when I search. If you don’t mind.

        • Sure. 75N7 and 55N6.

Check what your postcode is set as in the 'postage and payments' tab, make sure it's correct as that might be the cause of listings not showing or there is no TGG in that area maybe.

        • @hamza23: Thank you :) It works on my MacBook but my iPhone doesn’t seem to like the links for some reason.

      • I can’t find the Seagate hard drive either - do you have a link for that?

Edit: looks like it’s sold out 😔

        • was trickey to order …. had to do buy it now, go to checkout, apply coupon, then select pickup to not pay postage … else if defaulted to postage.

          Stores showed stock

        • +3

          Is this the one?

          Seagate

FWIW use a PC/Macbook with a 'desktop' browser. Using my iPhone either with the eBay app or the iOS browser wouldn't show up the links that Hamza23 posted in the OP but they were visible on my MacBook.

        • @Jawanzar: Here is a link for the Bosch as well in case anybody wants it.

          Bosch

        • yep that's the link, I bought 2 … had to do as 2 transactions …. I did it from a PC, with Edge browser …. had to do buy it now, go to checkout, apply coupon and then select local pickup, would hate to that via a phone app, use phone browser at least eg firefox.

The servers know if you are a mobile devices from Safari and sometimes try to direct to an app, Firefox is a bit more generic, though not completely.

        • @garage sale: Nice one :) Glad I could help. Ah, that's quite possibly what the issue then; if the servers are detecting I'm using a mobile browser and then playing fun'n'games, which is annoying and silly IMO.

    • it is work now

  • +2

55N6 worked for me. Pickup from Wollongong store though. None in Sydney. Lucky have car with free company paid fuel ;)

    • +1

depends what size car you got …. take a Stanley knife incase you need to dump packaging to get into car … happens at bunnings with outdoor furniture clearances "doesn't fit into my car, can I get a refund" …..

      • ute. should be good :D

      • See, I don't get that. Who buys something without even at least considering how they're gonna get it home? It's not even that complicated to figure out if something will fit, Bunnings will happily even lend someone a tape if they're unsure. I really don't understand people sometimes.

  • The 4TB Expansion is showing up as $169?!

    LaMMi

    • +1

I think you forgot the PICK20 20% off code :)

      • Thanks mate!

I obviously haven't done this enough with ebay… I didn't want to "buy it now" and confirm just to find out that the price wasn't reduced

        • No probs. Don't worry about pressing buy it now, there is still 1 more screen after that where you pay/enter code etc. It doesn't actually purchase it when you click confirm

        • was same for me , had to do it buy it now and then apply …. work experience kids doing their web coding for work experience again it seems at TGG….. no free Google minis this time.

  • The Hisense 75N7 is selling for $3295 on GG website.
    https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/hisense-75-inches190cm-uhd-le…

I think they would up the price on ebay store to match that before making it available again.

    • 75N7 is available again. already sold 10!

  • Bought the Samsung MS650 sound bar for $383 pickup. Cheapest I could find anywhere. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Samsung-HW-MS650-Series-6-On…

  • 4TB HDD no stock? Can't add to basket.

    • +1

Click 'buy it now' as add to cart won't work

  • +2

75N7 ready for pick up - score

    • What store you choose for pickup?

  • Yep. Tried purchasing the 75N7 but again I'm receiving the same errors that I did last time they had a sale. It shows up in my order history but payment is pending and will no doubt be cancelled shortly. Seems like they never have any stock for these bloody TV's. Listing should be removed.

    • If you go to TGG website, plenty in stock.
      Not showing on ebay

      • +1

        Yep. Dodgy as hell.

Recently I tried purchasing a KitchenAid during one of their sales and the ebay page told me that my local store was out of stock. Went in-store to check and they had a shelf full of them. Of course they weren't willing to match the price because they would be losing money, yada yada yada the same old story.

Seeing as it was for a birthday present I ended up buying one for more than I wanted to spend. The beautiful thing was not a fortnight later they had a similar sale but in-store. Went back and claimed my price guarantee and got 120% back and ended up paying less than even the ebay sale price. Good old middle finger to Good Guys!

        • +1

ABC Australia recently ran a 'F.U-Tube' on The Good Guys price match policy as this person contacted ABC, saying that they'd bought a TV from The Good Guys, which was later cheaper through a TGG' sale, however TGG wouldn't complete their Price Guarantee as the sale was not a competitor of the TGG but rather TGG themselves, which seemed to be insufficiently indicated on TGG signage. I'm not sure of the episode that it was though.

  • Hi guys does the Hisense tv have/ need to have HDCP 2.2 (for streaming?)
    Thanks

    • I was looking into the Hisense also, ended up changing my mind but that's a whole other story; here is the link for the Hisense 'full spec' sheet; note that MEMC (Hisense speak for motion compensation) is listed as 'Yes' however, my understanding is that this is strictly a 50HZ non-interpolated screen, so I'm not sure how reliable the information is?

As for HDR, it is listed as HDR10 over HDMI and for Netflix, however I'm not sure about HDCP 2.2.

      • The Series 7 does have HDCP 2.2 HDMI inputs

        • +1

I'm not sure if the N7 is available though?

I guess blewey maybe ring Hisense directly so that if you do end up buying it and it doesn't have what you want/thought it did, you've got some documentation of who you spoke to so you could return it?

        • @Jawanzar: thanks guys, @cyrax83 yeah I saw it tucked away in the specs somewhere after all, so here's hoping that's correct, if not I'll pull some strings!

  • +1

Thanks op was looking to purchase the Hisense 55 N6 during the last deal.
    Pulled the pin and purchased.

  • Does anyone know the model and speed of the HDD's inside? Also are these 2.5" or 3.5" HDD inside?

    • Appears to be a 5400rpm 2.5 inch drive. Not sure of model though, sorry

  • guys, can I buy multiple products like tv, washing machine and freeze and combine into one shipping? or they will be charging 75 for each products? Thanks

    • try it out mate at the checkout page

      • nope ..no combined shipping :/

  • Is it possible to have buy it now with 2 items show on check out? Any advice would appreciated

  • +3

Hisense 75N7 back in stock, was able to add it to cart for pick up or delivery.

    • Thanks for the heads up mate. Just put in an order now and it went through no worries.

      • I've got almost a dozen "return or cancelled" orders for this damned thing now…. Let's see if it works now!

        For real…

This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available.

        • Did you place an order? I got an order in before the listing was updated. Payment has come out so hopefully it doesn't get cancelled…

        • @dreamstation: In the infamous words of Agent 86 - missed it by that much!

        • @dreamstation: I placed an order at 3:10PM, already got a call for delivery tomorrow!

  • Sony 9000E is back to stock too

  • Update:

Just got Hisense N765 $1351.84 delivered Goodguys must have restocked.
    Oh hell yeah baby.
    +1% cashrewards

And after harvey norman said $1488 was below stock price….

  • Are there anymore HDD's left? It says the following when I add to card:

The item you've selected wasn't added to your cart. Please try again.

Item(s) in your cart aren't available in the quantity you originally requested

  • Is the 55N7 plus postage for $814 a good deal?

No pick up available in WA anymore.

  • TGG have ended the listings as of 10 minutes ago, 316pm on everything apart from the dishwasher and powerbanks, they are still available by the links in the deal. Marked the deal out of stock though as everything in the title is gone.

  • +2

after dozens of failed attempts managed to purchase the 75N7 with delivery

    • Hey mate have you received an electronic receipt from the good guys about your order? The email I received mentions the TV is on back order and also mentions order cancellation fee of $0. Hopefully my order hasn't been cancelled.

      • i only have the "Your order is being processed" email but did receive a phone call just then to arrange delivery so looks like it's going ahead. did you get a call at all to confirm?

        • No call, just the electronic invoice receipt.

  • The HDD eBay listing has ended.

    • i went into TGG brighton at 8:30 pm on friday to pickup my 2 seagates 4tb drives which i managed to push through and CC … they had another 6 in the glass cabinet that people had not bought , so there is stock , but their interface to ebay seems to be less than refined.

  • -2

the good guys make me wanna puke

  • I just got the 55n6 for $545 delivered (refurb) from ebay using the 20% off code. Probably not as good as the new one for $572 as the refurb only comes with 1 year warranty but still I think it was an ok bargain.
