Just keep in mind no Apple Watch support!!

    • It's the only thing putting me off buying an Apple Watch currently.
From what I've read, virgin plan on bringing eSim support towards the end of 2018 which we'll see a new Apple Watch release by then.

Kind of ridiculous since Optus have supported eSim from the first day of release of the Apple Watch Series 3, yet Virgin can't get it

      • Optus doesn't support Visual Voicemail in iPhone right from day one.

  • Kogan voda 4g 16gb is 14.60 a month with the package deal

    • Hey noob, what package deal are you referring to?

      • +1

I think it might be this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/364001 if you can split it with someone and in combination with the ebay evouchers for Kogan (read through the comments on that thread)

        • That’s it with the $50 off $120 spend which is $10 and the Kogan $10 off if you make a new account and click the referral link

  • They won't offer this to existing customers?

I'm currently coming to an end of my 3rd contract with Virgin this month. Been happy with them and wanted to stay due to the data sharing with the partner and whatnot.

Anyone had experience as an existing customer getting these?

    • I've never had a problem chatting to them online and getting a new deal as long as it's the same or upgraded level.

      • Ta I'm coming off a phone 2 year plan/contract and wanted to go onto byo since I've discovered Xiaomi haha

    • I had a contract and they happily switched me via on-line chat.

I'm stuck on 15GB for $32, might need to have a chat !

  • Im on this plan from the previous deal its realy good. Not only you get the unused data rollover but you will also get the unused international credit rollover as well. With the $40 cashback it works out to be almost $28.6 a month

  • Optus has the $40 for 30GB right now!

    • Virgin's $40 plan has 28GB so they're close to neck and neck but of course Virgin Mobile does have data rollover and data gifting

      • +2

After cashback Virgin is only 36.66$ for 28GB. Optus is 1.33 per GB compared to Virgin's 1.309 per GB. So it is almost the same with 40$ cashback.

  • How's virgins 4g speeds these days?

It’s ok. Im happy with it

  • A bit unrelated but I was able to get the Optus deal below via online chat today.

really?! How did you do that?
Do you have two number with Optus?

      • No I am new to Optus. I just asked the rep to match the Dec deal and he did :)

Not as good as the $32/mth for 20GB deal about a month back. Add Velocity membership and came down to around $28

And on top of that I also got first 2 months free. Which was not offered but appeared on my bill. Pretty happy with that surprise.
