      the fact that you have to use tablet/phone or laptop to play netflix correctly, google home and chromecast and netflix have alot of work.
      Android TV atleast you can use the remote and select what you want.

      Also limited catchup tv, some require you to cast the chrome browser

        Ah ok, so you don't like casting, you prefer a remote control and looking through options on the TV.
        Anything else you prefer on the mi box? How does catchup tv work?

        I find casting actually quite convenient for me because I like to browse what I want to watch next and then just hit go when it's time. Or I can be in another room browsing for shows to watch and then hit cast as I get back to the family room. Or I can cast a show on the tv, and then disconnect the cast link and immediately continue watching on my phone in bed until I get sleepy.
        It's also very handy with youtube or google play music for queuing up songs during parties. Anybody on my wifi can add songs to the queue from their phones like a jukebox. I have youtube red so I don't get ads. I fed a charger through the lounge so I can have my phone charging while watching tv haha

        @rhino015: it uses the Android TV catch up apps. So easier missus and kids to use as well

        Having kodi support is a bonus as only need one box to do all

        Only issue is Google cast not supported with Google home and Netflix yet. But YouTube and Stan works strange

        I found I had to recast a few times from Chrome browser on laptop to Chrome cast to get it working correctly
