Checkout simcorner for some good europe deals. Just bought a couple from them.

  • Totally recommend these guys. They have been very helpful!

    • Really appreciate the support Kiwi, it means alot! :)

      -Aidan

  • do you have anything with a shelf life slightly longer than 24.12.18?

    • Hey Mango!

Right now we don't carry anything with a longer shelf life.

What date do you need the SIM for?

      -Aidan

      • will possibly be in the US from Jan 2019 for about a month and thinking of jumping on this deal now…unless youll be doing something similar later in the year then i can hold off ;)

        • +1

          Check your PM brother :)

        • In exactly the same situation here! Jan 2019 my whole family are looking at heading to the US for a couple of weeks, would be really handy to have a couple sims between us. If the sim is activated on the 24th will it still last the following 30 days?

        • @djthornton: Hey djthornton! Spot on my man, if you activated on the 24th, it will last for the next 30 days. What dates are you travelling to USA?

          -Aidan

  • Great timing, was just looking for a USA SIM deal and this deal popped up! Snapped up two :) Thanks!

    • +1

      Glad we could help Dave!

Enjoy your trip my man :)

      -Aidan

  • Do you have any AT&T sims? Or any USA sims that include SMS or calls back to Oz?

    • Hey Hindo,

We don't carry anything for AT&T currently.

The only SIM we carry for USA is this bad boy, for contacting friends/family back here in OZ, I'd recommend to use data apps like WhatsApp, Messenger or skype :)

Ok thanks. I found T-Mobile's coverage a little inconsistent when there last year for a month, particularly outside of cities. Will probably order this anyway as it is a great deal

        • We have heard in more rural areas the reception isn't to great, but they have been working on their towers for coverage a lot in the past year.

If you want to check your coverage in advance: https://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/coverage-map

          Awesome Hindo!

          Appreciate the Support :)

          -Aidan

        • Was in nth America last year, primarily national parks. Tmobile was next to useless outside the major towns. More importantly, my data usage while 'roaming' was something like 300mb, rather than the 6gb of the plan. Having said that, at&t (think telstra) was an absolute PITA to set up

        • If you are staying with US friends you can usually find H2O (AT&T MVNO) SIMs with $30 credit (first month) selling for less than their included value on eBay USA.

Get the seller to post to their address.

          Eg this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/H2O-Wireless-SIM-CARD-30-1st-MONTH-…

FYI: This is not an endorsement. Never used this seller but many exist. Heard about this on HowardForums. I've personally never tested this.

  • Thanks! Ordered 2

    • My man! Thanks for the support Huey!

      -Aidan

  • Thanks OP. Perfect timing, Snapped up 2.

    • Woohoo! Thanks for the support 7necniv :)

      -Aidan

  • Good stuff. Got a couple for a trip in November. Highly recommend organising a SIM before you leave - I found it impossible to locate a reasonable prepaid deal while I was there last year.

    • Thanks for the comment Pennypacker!

Really appreciate your support, enjoy your trip! :)

  • I have just ordered one with standard shipping (leaving for the US on the weekend 14/15 April). It is hoped it gets delivered by Friday 13th. Any way of ensuring it does get delivered (Sydney 2000) by then?
    Thanks

MathNerd, you're making me blush over here!

      Really appreciate the kind words!

Look forward to your future purchase ;)

      -Aidan

  • From my US trip last year, I'll say one thing - T-Mobile Coverage in many parts of the country is an absolute joke. With a 4G sim, I only ever got low 3G speeds in places like Atlanta, Vegas, LA and San Francisco. No or minimal data coverage outside of big cities.

Does this sim use the T-Mobile network directly, or via another provider? That can be night and day difference in the quality of the coverage and speeds that you get.

    • +1

      Hey Death,

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. T-Mobile have been working on their coverage over the past year, you can check coverage here: https://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/coverage-map

The SIM is powered by UltraMobile, which uses the T-Mobile network directly :)

      -Aidan

      • Direct is good.

        Any sim deals for Thailand?

        • +3

          Direct is always good!

We might be launching a Thai SIM within the next few weeks, so follow us here on OzBargain or Facebook to be notified once we release the SIM :)

Does this by any chance include coverage in Canada?

    • Hey Sambino,

Unfortunately it doesn't cover you for Canada :(

We're trying to source Canada SIMs as we speak!

      -Aidan

      • +1

No worries - thanks for the reply!

      • +2

I'd be interested in Canada sim also. Can you get in touch if you manage to source any?

        • Hey tbgoose,

Good to see people asking about Canada. That's definitely on the checklist now. I'll look into it.

Is there a USA sim with more data available?

    • Thanks for the support Maybeamacy!

We don't carry anything with more data currently, in the future we will! :)

      -Aidan

  • Does it work on Canada?

    • Hey Sage,

This SIM doesn't work with Canada unfortunately.

We're trying to source Canada SIMs as we speak!

When do you need the Canadian SIM?

  • Thank you! Perfect for my trip to Hawaii. I found T-mobile acceptable for coverage when I went there last year. Didn't cover some of the more remote places but if you stay on the beaten track you'll be right.

    • Thanks for the support Alal, means a lot! <3

      -Aidan

  • Hi @SimsDirect are these SIMs able to be reloaded as normal once I burn through the 3GB? (If so, any idea on say another 3GB). And how long will they last once activated?

    Thanks.

    • Hey Scooby,

These bad boys aren't rechargeable unfortunately! Best thing to do would be to purchase 2x SIMs if you're going to burn through 3GB within the first month :)

      Hope that helps!

      -Aidan

  • I’m seeing $45 at checkout not 31.50.

    • +1

      Hi Dwil,

Make sure you have the discount code entered (USA30). It's apart of the checkout process :)

Let me know if you are having any issues.

      -Aidan

      • Sorry my bad. Thanks. Ordered.

        • All good! It can be tricky to find sometimes.

          Thanks for your order :)

          -Aidan

  • Just ordered 3 thank you very much

    • Awesome Tony!

      Thankyou :)

      • Cheers 1 for me under my name and my son 2 under his name. Random question how much data do you reckon using your phone as gps would burn per hour? Apple iPhone 6 Plus?

        • Hi Tony,

Sorry for late reply, missed your comment!

For data usage; you are looking at 5mb/hour using google maps/waze.

This is obviously not 100% accurate but this is what you can expect.

          -Aidan

        • You can download maps for offline use in the Google maps settings.

  • Thanks, Ordered 2

    • Thankyou for your order <3

  • I leave Thursday morning, if I ordered now could it get to Adelaide by Wednesday?

    • Hi Parko,

It would only get to you in time via express mail (1-2 business days). So make sure you select express at checkout.

If you place an order with us ill make sure to keep an eye out for your order and send it tomorrow morning.

      Cheers,
      -Aidan

  • Thanks, ordered 2 for my wife and I, and then a separate order again for my in law. Great deal!

    • Awesome dude!

What a nice guy looking out for the inlaws haha.

Thanks for your orders my man, we really appreciate it.

      Cheers,

  • It's a China Unicom SIM card, roaming on T-Mobile USA, right? I'm assuming the answers are yes, but could you please confirm that:

    1. It comes with a US mobile number (ie sends/receives calls and messages using a +1 xxx yyy zzzz number); and
    2. The allocated data isn't content restricted (such as might be expected with a Chinese telco)?
    • Hi Giles,

Yes correct, apart of Cuniq's(China Unicom) 'Travel SIMs'.

      1. Yes it does, the number is texted to you after activation.
      2. No it is not content restricted. Funnily enough China Unicoms China Traveller SIM is also not restricted. As compared to their standard Chinese SIMs (not for travellers).

Good questions! Thanks for asking, I might have to add some further information to the website around this.

      Thanks,
      -Aidan

  • Hi

I would like a deal on Canada & thailand if possible. I have canada in July and Thailand in December

    • Thanks for messaging, It's really important for us to get an understanding of what SIMs people would like, so thankyou!

Canada may take some time for us to get, however we will be trying out Thailand SIM this month.

I hope we can pull through for you!

  • Brilliant, thanks, got one earlier.

A bit of feedback: the 'Departure date' is a bit ambiguous — does that mean departure from Australia or departure from my destination in the USA? Since it didn't come up later in the checkout I didn't know what it meant. Does it have any bearing on the SIM card I get or the activation process?

    • +1

      Thanks for the order!

Great feedback, thankyou. I will change it to 'When do you leave Australia?'

What do you think? Is that clearer?

No it doesn't have any impact on your SIM. It is simply to help us look after customers by understanding when they leave and making sure we get their order to them on time.

      Again. Thanks for the feedback!

      -Aidan

      • Yep, that'd make sense. The other bit which was hard to guess was whether it was departure time AEST or US time (eg if it were influencing auto-activation for instance) — but that wording answers that too. Fwiw, I think my confusion stems from having used other SIM providers which ask for "arrival date" - you don't know whether that means "date I arrive in the USA" or "date I arrive in the USA in Australian time so the local rep can activate my SIM for me". I like your self-activation process — that avoids any issues!

Thanks for the detailed explanation - great customer service :)

    • Actually a great question I never thought of it other than departure from Australia.

  • Thank you! Purchased two, perfect for our trip to Hawaii in May.

    • Thanks Muzzas!

Hope you have a great trip :)

      • Aidan
  • Will you guys be having a sale for simcards for Hong Kong and/or Vietnam?

    • Hi dory,

We don't have anything planned for Vietnam unfortunately (not within the next few months anyway).

We do have a China/HK SIM on our website you can check out here.

Vietnam is a tricky one. They are pretty strict with their communication laws there so it will be difficult getting partnerships. However it is possible!

Subscribe to us on OzBargain and you will get notified when we post deals for new countries.

      I hope this helps,
      -Aidan

  • Good Timing. Bought 3. Do you ship to other country? Thank you

    • Woop!Thanks for your order <3

We can ship internationally via Australia Post Airmail. It takes anywhere from 7-15 business days depending on country.

      Hope this helps!

      -Aidan

  • Does the price include GST? How do I get a tax invoice? I just bought 4…

    • Hi DKC,

SIM cards are actually GST exempt.

      What is your order number?

      Cheers,
      -Aidan

      • Order 1592.

        • Awesome, I'll get an invoice out to you.

          That's a great question.

From my understanding (I spoke to my accountant about this but can't completely remember), it is because most prepaid SIM Cards hold no actual value until activated by the user.

Data/Calls/Texts/Mobile Numbers (the actual value) are all held by the Teleco provider in a pool and is only assigned to your SIM card after activation.

          It's pretty sneaky but hey… that's Teleco's for you!

          I hope this helps.

          -Aidan

  • I grabbed a couple cheers bruz

    • haha legend!

  • Ordered 2. Thanks OP!

    • <3

  • Thanks OP! Got one for a trip in Sep.

    • Thanks for your order <3

      -Aidan

  • Posting this in LA now using this sim bought from their 1st deal. So far so good.
Tip: set up can take a bit longer than 5 min after calling 622 and hearing the voice recording saying I should receive sms under 5min. Be patient and it should work. Didn't get any phone number via sms though. But easy to find.

    • Same here (Florida) I activated online though. Easy process can select when want sim activated
