        But winter is coming

  • Will the charging cable blow up on me?

    • +1

It's American so yeah, I heard they like blowing things up.

  • Are these with those certified thing it in thats stops becoming useless after one update?

    • +7

      NFi

      • I also have no idea

    • “designed for iPhones” isn’t the same as “Made For iPhone”

      So no.

  • +6

Any deals on MFI Lightning cables?

  • +3

$1000+ phone. 65c cable. yeh, nah

    • I'm going to hold up some lights with it. Normally ethernet cable will suffice.

      • Phone is fine.

  • +3

WHY IS THERE AN IPOD CLASSIC IN THE LIGHTNING CABLE PAGE

    WTF

  • So guys, will this charge the iPhone or not?

    • +3

Maybe. It could work for a few months, then stop after an iOS update (blame apple). MFi cables are the only ones likely to continue working. Source: bought some cables, they died, then I learned about MFI.

    • Yes, these work fine.
They tend to break after a couple of months, not because of iOS updates, but because the wires are badly welded and break.

So but a bunch and save time waiting for delivery when you need to replace.

Got one of the cables last deal. It charges sooooooo slowly. Probably why it's so cheap

  • +1

Once you go ampcore you never go back

  • +1

Last time they gave me a "random colour", I got pink. I would have paid the extra $20c to chose the colour if I knew they were going to send me left over pink cables.

    • +1

Yep, "random colour" usually means "hideous left-over colours that nobody wants".

  • Has anyone actually received items from Zapals?

I never received the order I paid for last time. I don't trust them again.

    • heap of stuff , just takes a while due to cheap postage …. it's a nice surprise when something turns up in the mail box you forgot you ordered.

  • Good on you chief

  • Zapal's the customer service is abysmal.
Until now I still haven't received the RJ45 extender (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/360656).

Contacted Zapals via email and contact us page https://www.zapals.com/contact-us/, never received answer.
Had to escalated to Paypal claim.

    • I received mine last week.. their delivery is late.. May take 1-3 months.. I usually buy like set & forget to get my self surprised whenever I receive.. 😜

  • +1

    Cable received!

  • +2

Received the cable today. Problem is it doesn't charge my iPhone at all.

65c wasted for a dud cable.

    • Zapals should be banned.

    • My previous one worked (for a while) but the one I just got was dead too :(

    • having the same issue, doesn't charge at all

  • Received my mosquito net and roll of tape. I've rechecked, and have to admit that's all that was advertised.
I don't know where I got the idea of a magic "magnetic" fly screen that I could patch all the holes in screen doors until I get around to fixing (which would be never if the product was as good as I imagined!).

I've never felt so ripped off. I'm so glad it was only $1.55, and that I didn't buy more as I intended.
dang. It's not the $1.55, but that I thought I had a solution to the holes in the screen doors! :(
Now I have to file this junk and explain it to my wife when she finds it. I should just put it straight in the trash, but I just can't do it.

<sigh> rescreening all the doors is back on the list :(
