Ok, there has been very little interest in this offer so I'll expire it now.

I think this new one might be a little more straight forward.

========= Cancelled ============

We're offering a $10 per month discount on top of the discounted rate, for the first 2 months when you pay for the first 2 months up front.

Please click through the offer link below or click the [Go To Deal] button on the right to go to the offer page, you need to click through one of the offers on that page to get the special pricing.

Examples:
100/40 1000GB $75/mth - $130 upfront = $65/mth for the first 2 months
50/20 1000GB $65/mth - $110 upfront = $55/mth for the first 2 months

How it works: You initially pay the cost of the first 2 months at the special discounted pricing. The system will bill at the full pricing but add a credit for $20 to cover the difference. You won't need to make a further payment until the start of your third months service.

All plans include:

  • Unmetered uploads
  • Unlimited offpeak downloads
  • VoIP number and inbound calls to a voip device at no cost

Note: If you are on HFC please contact support before placing an order, in most cases we are unable to fast churn HFC services and downtime can be 1 - 2 weeks.

Conditions:

  • This offer applies to new customers only

Refunds:

  • If your service can't be delivered or if you change your mind and we haven't yet processed your order we will refund your full payment.
  • Once we have processed your order and placed it with our upstream carrier if you cancel you will pay the full month plan price and we will refund the balance.

  • I signed up for XL a couple of weeks ago but I'm not due to go live until May 3rd. I already paid $70. To get this offer do I need to add another $70 to my account?

    • @telecube

  • This has got to be one of the most confusing deals.

Signed up on the previous deal, not exactly ecstatic with the whole experience:
    - slower and inconsistent speed on 100/40 HFC in Melbourne
    - numerous technical issues and frequent drop outs
    - support via email only. And they responded once and ceased communication.

You pay for what you get is the best way to describe my experience.

    • Who were you with previously?

So from what I understand from the rep's comments there is another deal:

    $0 setup fee:

    This Deal
    basically $20 off:

Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems like the other deal is more attractive with $0 setup fee, essentially a $50-55 off?

Going to go ahead and sign up a family member at the special prices, but not the extra month thing, below pricing.

Can you confirm how long the promotional pricing lasts for once we've signed up? Expire after 12 months or something?

    • same here - here's hoping there's no expiry

  • Canceled huh?

OK, let's see what you do Thursday. I'm not going to jump onto your $10 discount for the first month.

Bring me something substantial and we'll look at it.

I think this new one might be a little more straight forward.

No, you failed to explain it clearly, and your answers to questions for clarification were also very evasive. This one was on you, not us. Many still believed it comes with a setup fee, and then you went and muddied things up by linking to an alternative 'discounted' plan without the up front 2 month payment but people couldn't see where the discount was. You then said the discount was $75 instead of $85, but for everyone in the know, that $75 price is always available just as long as you know the link. That for me is to be taken as the 'standard' price, while the $85 is the 'suckers' price.

  • Stay away from telecube. They will jack up the price within the first month.
