How hot do these normally get?

    • +43

Hotter than jv but less then Scab.

      • +7

Thanks bought 10 based on that comment.

  • The shipping is how much? O.o

    • 16.99 gbp apparently. But even at 81AUD they're half price as compared to the ones in the shop

      • +2

Superdry products are always half-price on eBay and outlet stores in the UK. Their fad has died out and they're seen as chavvy nowadays.

        • +2

They've always been seen as chavvy in the UK, not everyone cares how others label them…

  • PULL5 not working for me. As Apocsky says, it's coming up as GBP61.48 total

    • Just made an order and PULL5 worked for me, total was £44.98.

      • I am getting total 50.68GBP after applying PULL5

    • PULL5 not working for me.

      Worked for me on RedTube.

  • So anyone know what the front bit of each model mean? AP, BA, Ae?

    • +1

think it's just to seperate listing options…

      A A
      A B
      A C
      .. D
      .. E
      etc.

  • Good price

  • +1

    Cheers OP!

  • Does anyone know how the sizing runs I'm always a large but the description for xl seems closest.

    • Check and try in store

    • I wear medium in most other local brands but with Superdry I had to get their Large. I would say that go a size up.

    • +4

Definitely upsize once (some ppl say twice)

      • And yet the 6'1" models (they're always 6'1" and above) always wear medium! I believe the user reviews over the model dimensions, not sure where the disconnect is (exaggerated model heights?) but I'm 182cm which is a smidge under 6 foot and medium in jackets and the sleeves are always too short.

I ordered an XL here, hope it's a good fit.

      • How tight should these jackets fit? I measured my chest with only a T-shirt on and I'm around 85.5cm which means I could fit into the 86cm XS jacket. Is that too tight? The next size up is 91cm and I'm not sure if that's too loose.

      • I should have listened to you. I went to Myers to check the Jacket size. It was L size.
So I ordered the L size . Today I received the jacket. The label says it’s L size but it seems smaller.
Are British people shorter than Aussie? L size varies !! Do you think I can get irefund or exchange ?

    • +3

Go to the Iconic and see their size finder tool for Superdry, it's actually very good. The listings usually include a video and size of the model and what size s/he is wearing too, so you can get a good idea of fit.

      • +2

uhm… copied off the Iconic website, a denim jacket, description:

        Model wears: Medium
        Model height: 6’ 2” (188cm)
        Model chest: 38" (96cm)

Machine wash - cold (30°C), do not bleach, do not tumble dry
        Model: Height 185cm
        Model Wearing: Size L
Total length - 70 cm in size M;Back width - 45.8 cm in size M

Not so sure about Iconic being the best tool to figure out the size.

        • I'm hoping the countless people advising to go a size up are right.

These 6'1" and above models must have very short torsos and arms or else they're inflating their heights. It's a little annoying because the idea is good if their dimensions are accurate, but if not it becomes misleading. It also depends on chest, shoulder and waist measurements which all vary.

        • +1

@CanadaAye: Yeah Superdry sizing is weird. I have a couple hoodies that are comfortable and they're size medium. I bought a puffy vest later on and the only size that zipped up was 2XL. If you can try them on before you buy do so.

    • Go one size up from your normal size.

  • +13

always thought people wearing this just really liked asahi superdry

    • +1

It's an odd brand, but some people love it.

I think the cuts work well for scrawny body shapes.

    • +1

I always thought it was a brand for nuns.

  • Are these actually warm jackets? Thick quality?

    • I like the triple layer zip

  • Decent price but mostly meh designs, it's mostly their glorified windbreakers not the nicer jackets.

    • +9

Over 1,000,000 feedback score and over 99% - are you serious!

      Not sure if real Ozbargainer

  • +6

Excellent post OP. Bought two jackets.
Just a note to everyone else - these fit SMALLER than usual, so go a size up :)

    • Did you get charged separated shipping fees? I tried to add 2 but shipping cost double so only bought one

  • Bought one. I like it fit tight so bought true size !! M for 75kgs with 170cm tall

    • Do you already have a superdry jacket in Medium that fits tight, but still fits? Or are you purchasing in hope that this will be the case?

    • That’s way to tight for me personally, I am similar build as you but bought L as when I tried in store, M was very tight and I was struggling to zip.

      • I went to Myer to try and the medium was just too tight for my liking. I cancelled my order and went the size up to L. I'm 166cm, 72 kg, 39/32 chest/waist. M was too snug across the chest and too tight in the arms (difficulties wrapping arms around own body and bending the elbows - possible, but uncomfortable).

L is slightly too long in length and a bit more in the arms, but it's fine.

  • Do these give decent protection for wind and rain or are they more of a fashion item?

    • The windcheaters are warm and do protect from wind, they soak through reasonably quickly though in anything more than a drizzle.

Also people will be confused and laugh at the number of zip tags on your jacket, it's about 6 clustered together if the jacket isnt done up.

Thanks OP. Free postage in the UK! Sent it to the MIL's as I'm heading there at the end of the month!

    • +2

      Nice one ;)

    • +10

Can we all send it to your MIL's and have you pick it up for us? ;)

  • Do anyone have a clue how they will be like? I am more concern in putting a 5.5 inch phone into pockets, am looking at the Arctic black Marl. Looks deep pockets but actual…fingers crossed.

This is a genuine Superdry item for sale.

    Sounds totally legit.

  • tbh i would only ever buy superdry for their wind breakers because they are light and comfy so this sale is great. Their pricier jackets are too expensive for that they are and look tacky, if you are going to spend that much get a nicer brand that will last you a few years. Hopefully this sale sticks around til tonight i would like to go instore to try on and then buy through here.

  • It keeps saying it can't process my payment

  • +3

How would you go about washing a jacket that stays super dry?

    • +1

      You just Glen20 it.

    • +2

You wash it with Asahi beer.

  • +1

Surprised there are still a lot of sizes and styles available! Thanks OP

  • will paypal charge international transcation fee if I pay by a Aus credit card

    • No, you can change it to charge in the original currency so your credit card company does the conversion.

  • Tempting… But what if it doesn't fit correctly..Hmmm..

  • can i use australian ebay gift card for this purchase???

    • hi please help

      • +1

Don't see why not - you'll be buying via eBay Australia even though the store is in the UK

  • Will the S/M size be same here and for UK? May can just pop in store to give it a size try before ordering.

  • All of the styles on ebay are old season stock - one style on there I bought myself two years ago. I was in one of their stores a week ago and they have much nicer jackets there.

    • +1

Did you check the other links in the description - also why do you think they have marked down their prices so much? Of course some of it is going to be old season stock, doesn't mean that many Australian retailers aren't still selling these same exact ones for full retail…

    • +1

Has that much changed in a year or two in jacket styles? I'm more conservative in what I wear anyway, glad that they have mostly moved away from the bright labels and accents on a lot of these jackets. In the past when looking at Superdry jackets I found the quality to be good (though overpriced) just the styling and brand name was too bright/in your face.

    • Also, out of interest, how has that jacket held up over the two years? I'm replacing a Hallenstein wool melton jacket that is plain looking but great at keeping out the winter wind in Sydney. Still in pretty good shape considering I bought it 4 years ago.

Interestingly checked out current Hallenstein jackets and there once again was a 6'1" model wearing a medium size jacket.

      • +1

I have a superdry windbreaker jacket bought in 2014. Still in great shape today.

  • +2

Why doesnt the postage stack up if you buy more than 1?

    • Do they actually offer combined postage? Request a new invoice if they do?

      • They don't offer combined postage.

Here's what it says under delivery :

"For worldwide, the first item gets charged at full cost, then we deduct £3 from each additional item's delivery and packaging fees."

  • Thanks for post OP.. Have been waiting on a good jacket deal THUMBS UP

  • I'm in the market for a jacket, but are these normally expensive due to quality or just the brand? Because I couldn't care less what brand I'm wearing.
Is this suited to a Western European autumn, or too cold?

    • "Western European autumn" LOL

How is Eastern Australian summer? ;-)

I not laughing at you, just trying to make you realise that autumn in Western Europe varies depending on your exact location.

      • I know… not being very specific. Basically, would this keep me warm in gloomy wet weather as cold as about 6 degrees, but typically about 10-15 degrees?

        • +1

Just try in Myer, I'd say this is pretty warm.

        • +1

Yeah it should, they are windbreakers and most models have fleece lining so are soft and warm. But the windbreakers are very casual jackets, going down the shops/sporting events style. Far too tacky if you are in the market for a jacket to go to work or for an evening out. Youre better off looking for a pea coat jacket unless you wanna go down the lad/chav path. The quality is good, the branding on superdry in my opinion doesnt look great so go for the least in your face colours and branding.

Looks like they have been shipped by DHL. Thanks OP

    • Interesting.. I've put in my parcel locker as an address so I wonder if they can still deliver it.

      • -2

It will be fined. As long as you put a correct address

      • +1

I have been told that DHL can't deliver to PO boxes so i doubt they can deliver to Parcel Lockers. I had a different courier return to sender as they didnt have access to Aus Post Parcel lockers. Didnt bother to contact me to ask for a different address or anything.

        • +1

Actually, DHL has an agreement where AP will accept DHL parcels bound for Parcel Lockers.

        • @haru: Thanks for the info. As soon as I get shipping confirmation and (hopefully) a tracking number, I'll contact DHL to ensure they can deliver.

  • What's the jacket sizing like for those who have a Superdry jacket?

I'm 72kg, 166cm. Moderately muscular, 39 inch chest, 32 waist. Got a medium mountaineer black. Happy for it to be pretty snug.

    • You're a similar build and height to me. Also got medium, hope it fits!
