So I'm getting paid $2.14 to use their product. Worth a shot. Thanks OP.

    • +1

The last time I used it, it wasn't.

  • Need to upload a copy of the receipt. I wonder if they accept eBay or PayPal receipts.

    • +7

Pretty sure the goodguys give you a receipt for items bought on ebay

      • Correct i claimed cashback on an aircon that way :)

    • Pretty sure TGG provides an invoice when you go for Click and Collect.

      • But what about delivery?.

        • +1

same, you'll get invoice with the item from TGG

  • +1

    Awesome :)

  • Great find, but the Ozbargainer in me is wondering if I can get one with less than 6 devices, ie cheaper, and still get cashback??

    • +5

You can but it's only $20 Cashback

      • Cheers, I'll go with this one then. Problem is I think I already have Trend Micro antivirus on there haha
I guess I've got until the 31st July to claim it?

Also, what's to stop someone from just Brodening it and getting quite a profit out of it?

        • The claim date is 31 July but I think the expiry date of the program is much later than that :)

And I believe the claim would be for 1 per household most likely.

        • @doweyy: but you have to activate it in order to get the cashback :(

Yeah probably 1 claim per household.

Sucks that the only stores with stock are quite far away… Just have to do a CBA ;)

        • +1

          @pennypincher98:

          Ahh yes you're right :(

It doesn't actually ask for any household details though, so maybe they link it to your name or bank details lol

Also price match @ Officeworks if it's easier :)

        • +2

          @pennypincher98: From the cashback T&Cs:

          12. Multiple purchases permitted, maximum 3 claims per claimant only

        • @headphonejack: so a $6.42 profit then :)

  • +5

Man, I remember the days when these came with Micro SD cards on top of the cashback.

Shame this one doesn't have it.

  • My kaspersky just expired. Just I give this a go?

    • +2

I was only just wondering how your Kaspersky was going.

trend is actually one of the better products if you want more than what you get with windows 10.

last bounty hunt they paid out $2m to white hats …. they make IPS and all sort of other stuff once you get past the home PC market.

this is actually a great deal if you manage PCs on a small to medium size business customers behalf, 3packets, 18 PCs and you charge customer on a per pc basis….pain is at renewal time and if people are on office 365 microsoft want to sell value adds for security.

  • I try to order but can't . Looks lilke it is a pricing error and product pull out of ebay

    • might be gone …… they wouldn’t keep unlimited stock and it might be to move dusty boxes.

people that do PC support grab these deals and install and resell to their customers at retail …and you get 6 devices per pack …… customer pays min $30 per device per year ……

  • Looks like some issue with eBay..

Something went wrong. Please try to check out again.

    • same here

      • Yeah I'm unable to check out.

        • +1

Try the app. I managed to order through the app with no issue.

        • @allenhori: yeah thanks but i tried multiple times in app and browser.. same result :(
but can see some guys are able to buy.. strange

        • @Being Askhole: not sure it is platform dependent, I used iOS version app just in case you are on Android. Guess you’ll need to keep trying. Good luck.

        • @allenhori:thanks mate.. tried in IOS and MAC.. will try in windows now :)
I think issue with Pick up store location…but its sold out now in ebay ..

  • same here

  • Just bought one successfully, no issues.

  • Have Trend Micro on multiple devices.
It hogs resources (so avoid if you have a budget/ancient device), but it works well.

  • Its only for 12 months use.

    • and then have to renew next year? grrr
      i get annoyed by that

      • +1

And then get paid another $2.14 next year.

  • i know its a pretty good deal but anyone have or try this software out and if so provide their experiences with it?

doesn't look like its a virus protection software?

  • Sorry to sound stupid.
Where is the $50 cashback from?

    • +1

      From Trend Micro.

  • Order service temporarily unavailable or invalid parameters in the request URL.

  • Just placed my order in eBay app. I am still unable to complete the purchase on the website.

  • Ebay Out of stock in ACT, but in stock at their website..so weird

  • Beware, some pretty terrible reviews on cashback offers they had before: https://www.productreview.com.au/p/trend-micro.html

    • -1

To be fair, most of the terrible reviews against these companies are computer illiterate idiots who have nothing better to do but complain that THEY got scammed because THEY went to a fake Trend website. That's not Trends fault.

      • +1

It actually is Trend's fault. Trend should be protecting them from those fake websites in the first place lol

      • If they are computer genious, why would they need good anti virus. I have lived many years without one and can do so. Taken Antivirus care as other people use my computer as well.

  • Sucks that you have to activate the product to be able to claim the cashback.

Does anyone know if I add this to my existing licence, do I get 12mths added on, or would it (as I suspect) just start the 12mths from activation date so the two are overlapping & independent?
Got 4-5mths left so would be a hefty chunk to waste.

    • From past experience with other products (Norton), it normally adds on to your balance

  • Can't check out on eBay…

  • +1

I'll stick with my ESET product that doesn't hog my system

    • True. I love ESet. Remember Trend few years ago and looked so good with tons of un-necessary alerts for programs, files, etc. and realised it was over protecting by putting most things or programs as virus. ESet is really good. I would rate Kaspersky and Norton over this.

Remember my clients having them and our product will have all sorts of unknown issues.

  • I came for the word PROFIT. Don't see that every day.

  • Remember you can still price match @ Officeworks to get it for the same price :)

  • +1

I've been stung by this promo years ago. Bought an SSD at the same time (cash back promo was available from lots of stores) to help discount the price of the SSD. After submitting the cash back requirements Trend never paid my cash back or responded to my emails. I ended up purchasing a full price SSD, paying $50 for Trend that I didn't even want, and uninstalling my current virus scanner to install Trend's sh*tty software so I could make my claim. Never again…

  • -1

    Change the price to Negative

    • ??

  • $2 profit? well it costs me more to drive there, so i will pass :p

  • +3

Just got confirmation cash back claim has been approved. Thanks OP.

    • nvmind

    • Nice .. you're pretty quick. I'm still putting it on back burner. I guess I will do this on weekend then.
