NEW GoPro HERO6 Black $480. is that a good deal?

  • LOL. they could have just been part of the ongoing 20% ebay bandwagon!!!!!!

    • +10

But without the usual price jacking. Yes they sometimes seem to remove products from these sales but at least what’s left is not jacked up.

I think that deserves some credit. Even if a minor one ;)

      • yes, their tefals some are already 50% off rrp

so another -20% on top is just super

  • Thank goodness I missed out on the PICKY10 yesterday. Thanks OP!

Thinking of picking up the Breville Smart Grinder Pro but have seen reviews about lumpy grinds. I'm just looking for an entry level espresso grinder. Anyone owners have thoughts about it ?

    • +3

I've had one for a while. Picked up with a machine and have had no issues with it. Coffee grinds well and you can set how thick or fine you want the grind size to be.

    • +2

Had no issues with ours, teamed with a sunbeam em7000. Its a great combo that does incredible coffees for the price paid. We have no desire to upgrade either the coffee machine or the grinder. Recommend both!

    • +3

I had an expensive Italian grinder and I replaced it with the bsgp and I love it.
Grind can clump slightly when you're on a fine setting. It's just static. One quick knock on the bench top before you tamp and you're good to go.

consistent dose and grind. It does what it should

      • Great - just what I needed to know. I don’t know enough about these things yet but kept seeing it pointed out. Was thinking if I should bite the Bullet with a Sette 30 or possibly 270. But that’s double the $ :/

    • +2

i haven't had any issues with mine. it's the perfect entry level grinder imo

    • +1

Had mine for about a year and it's been great, would recommend any day as an entry level espresso machine. Doesn't clog up with lumps and retains little grounds. Good value for an all round machine including espresso.

    • Thanks for all awesome feedback guys <3 I just picked up the BSGP along with a brand new Breville Infuser. Going to be upping the home barista game now. Can't wait! They will go along very well with the Breville Quick Touch microwave in our kitchen. I have been Breville'd! :)

  • +1

Great price for the Breville grinder. Equal cheapest I've ever seen. If anyone's on the fence about it, I strongly recommend it.

    • Does a brew the coffee as well or just grind?

  • +1

Just ordered the Breville coffee grinder, hope I get complete satisfaction from it.

    • +1

I think you've misinterpreted how to get the "bump and grind" :P

  • +2

I recommend the Breville BPR700BSS The Fast Slow Pro Multicooker if the extra 20% discount applies. Good combination pressure cooker and slow cooker -$223 on RRP349.

  • There was once a time the qc25 and 20s were their flagships and the same price. Now 25s keep dropping but 20s actually went up in price!
Been waiting for a $200 qc20 deal again. Looks like it ain’t gonna happen :(

    • I was lucky to get onto a good price with the QC20s when they brought in the QC30s; the bose store had them on special. I was very happy as they work well for travelling on planes; I can get some sleep, which I can't do with the full headphones.

      • oh what when was this? QC30 that must be recent.
I've been waiting for a sub $200 deal since December 2014!

        • Wasn't sub $200. Otherwise I would've got 2 pairs. It was roughly mid $200s.

        • @try2bhelpful: think i will revise my target price to mid 200s then

        • @havok44: Reading about the QC30s some people have trouble with the connection dropping in and out. I think I will stick with my QC20s for the time being

        • @try2bhelpful: definitely, i tried the qc30 at the bose store next to my qc20s and i reckon they sound worse (used same source - my phone). thats why im strictly waiting for a qc20 deal to be ready when my current one dies. its done well for 3.5 years but poor thing is on its last legs

        • +1

@havok44: I was always less than enthralled by a battery I couldn't replace. I will keep an eye out and post if I see them cheap somewhere :)

        • @try2bhelpful: why thank you!

        • @havok44: mind you I will also probably looking for ones for me as well.

        • @havok44: Did you see this deal, I little bit higher but might be worth investigating.

          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/384572

        • @try2bhelpful: yes saw that. I have an alert for ‘Qc20’. I was hoping for more low-mid 200s. Maybe Eofy sale…

        • @havok44: we both know to put in a posting if we see one.

  • +1

Thank you OP! I picked up the Soundlink Mini! A fantastic price. I was planning to visit Costco on the weekend for the $164 deal but this beats it.

  • Can you use myer gift cards to pay on ebay?

    • No.

    • You can get some ebay gift cards at 7.5% off from some members on here though.

      • The first page of my search didn't pull up anything obvious.

Is this a common thing? Who? 🤤

      • Can you please tell me more?

Have some EFTPOS gift cards which I'd want to use to buy eBay gift cards to purchase something from this sale

        • Some Woolworths may have eBay gift card in stock, but not in every shop. If you can find them, you can pay it by EFTPOS card that you have.

    • Hmmm what to do with that $100 Myer gift card I never have use for…

      • Exactly why i asked… wife often gets myer gift cards as Christmas gifts from work and they sit around for ages.

        • I'm almost tempted to use that directly from Myer as the Bose QC 25 I'm after are $249 (means I will lose $50 voucher value but spend $50 less out of pocket)

        • Took me 2 years to spend a $50 gift card. And in the end spent it on something random just so it didn't expire.

  • Just a word of warning on the the QC25s - I've bought two pairs in the last six months, one from Shopmonk so grey import and one from Qantas sale so oz stock. In both the noise cancelling function has failed (with the Qantas ones, within a couple of days). Apparently this is a known issue for a certain batch of QC25s made around 2016.

These Circulon triple pack frypans for $95.20 is a great buy

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Circulon-Symmetry-Non-Stick-…

    • Are they long lasting. All my pans seem to last a couple of months only.

      • We have a different Circulon set, but still going fine after 5 years of regular use.

  • Thanks - got the UE Boom 2!

    • -1

u might regret instead getting the bose

Brevile The Oracle BES980BSS $1719.20 great price. Have one at home.
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Breville-Oracle-/23267913206…

    • I don't think that unit qualifies for the EXTRA 20% off under this code.

      • I was able to enter the code and receive the discount at checkout. Though I didn't go further than that obviously.

        • edit.

        • Oh OK - It just did not show this item when I searched in the Myer catalogue and it does not show as an option under the listing
You are right it does seem to work though

  • Is anyone else getting an error message: "We ran into a problem. Please try again later"?

    • +4

Did you happen to change your country to the US the other week during the 20% off eBay code work around? I'd left mine on the US and found codes weren't working. I then changed my country back to Australia and it was fine.

      • +1

I thought I had changed it back but I hadn't, thanks!!

      • +2

OMG, OMG!! Thank you for this. I have never been able to use eBay codes and never knew why; I’ve had a US address recorded since I first signed up 🙄

  • Glad Costco didn't have the Bose Soundlink Mini in Pearl when we dropped by. Saved me a few bucks with this Myer promo.

Breville the Juice Fountain Max Grey! currently on sale for $99.
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/232544817985

    • Any good? Been looking a good juicer

      • Yes really good, tried at my friend's place. It has good reviews as well

  • Crumpler bags out of stock in most Sydney stores.

  • BES840 coffee machine + smart grinder pro + bose sound link sorted ! Many thanks, have been waiting this for ages ;)

  • I just bought from myer ebay yesterday with 10% off :(

    Still waiting for delivery.

Do they accept return in store?

    • +1

Yes, i returned some shoes purchased through eBay store & returned in store, just print out the "it's ready for pickup" or "Its being delivered" email.

  • +1

I do like the bit on the page that tells you what the 20% off price is without having to put it in the basket.

  • Breville Smart Grinder out of stock.

    • Back in stock, C&C only now

  • You can get the Breville BES920 for $799.20 ($999 + 20% off). Not the best price it's every been, but better than the current HN deal.

  • -6

Looks like Myer jacked up the price matching the discount.bought this item breville electric kettle BKE595 for $79 couple of weeks back. Price magically went up to $100 and after discount $79 lol. Not sure if they did for other items. Worth checking before pulling the trigger.

    • +8

Um, it's $63.20 C&C with the code Here lol, might be worth actually checking first before commenting about price jacking.

  • Kenwood Chef mixer for $279:
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Kenwood-Chef-Kitchen-Machine…

Seems a pretty good deal to me. These are often compared to KitchenAid in terms of quality (and actually win on specs, such as dough capacity). RRP is $499.

  • I was looking for a new Kobo e-reader. Their website lists the aura 2 as 179 with a free case valued at $45, but eBay as 220 with no mention of a case.

    https://m.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Kobo-Aura-H2O-Edition-2-eReade…

Vs ereader and free case for $179 delivered.
    https://m.myer.com.au/shop/mobile/mystore/aura-2nd-edition-6…

I know they need to allow for fees on eBay, but check their website first.

    • +1

They're different products FYI, H20 vs 2nd edition.

This is the link you're looking for, which is the exact same price as the website, actually $143.96 after 20% off.

Also as an FYI, they have 20% off Kobo gift cards on eBay with the code.

Thanks OP. Bought some Lego sets for my kids. Some of them were already on sale ($10 off from original $30). Bought 5 to get free shipping. comes down to $16 each delivered. Almost half price. Awesome..

  • Thanks OP, ordered a NutriBullet 1200 :)

  • Dyson Supersonic hair dryer for $439.20, not too bad!

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Dyson-Supersonic-dryer-in-Sp…

EDIT: it's out of stock now :(

  • Picked up the BES840 espresso machine at $359. Bargain!

  • If anyone already has the Bose 300 Sound bar and looking to add the beast of sub woofer Acoustimass 300, it comes down to a further discounted price of $679.20. Very good price.

    https://m.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Bose-Acoustimass-300-Wireless-…

Available in both black and white colours

    • Don't know why, but they don't seem to have the Soundtouch 300 on eBay store, even though on their Myer store it has the Souchtouch 300 for $849, but not on eBay store.
