Some Logitech Gear - 100% Cashback Via Online Redemption - Starts 1 Feb 2011

4040

Some Logitech Mice, Keyboards, Webcams, Headsets and Cooling Pads are able to claim 100% cashback from Feb 1

see the website here
http://www.logitechcashback.com.au

still not a bad deal - given that after cashback, you essentially get the product for free

The stickers are on ALL the products at Dick Smith Arndale - and on the sticker it says, "Purchase me and receive 100% cashback". The upload is a photo of the sticker itself. I got excited as I thought I could pick up a logitech steering wheel with the cash back, but upon upon further investigation, I can see that only a limited number of products are included in this deal.

Only applies to these old models but 5 per household is not bad.

M100 wired mouse
M215 wireless mouse
K200 keyboard
C200/C210 web cam
Clearchat style headset
MK250/MK260 wireless combo
N100/N120 cooling pad

$300,000 is available for the cashback. If there are just 3,000 customers, so far, who know about the deal, that's about $100 each.

So, just a heads up there is a chance you won't get a cashback

        scratch that…..

"Thank you for sending in your claim documentation. Your claim has been received and validated. Please allow up to 28 days from the date your claim was validated for your refund to be processed."

        • so you got yours already?
mine still pending.. i wonder if i should call
i sent it in one post..

  • Sent two in the same envelope on the 1/2. One was validated earlier today. The other one is still pending!

  • Did anyone get the cashback yet ? I still haven't opened the products.

  • WTF. My registered post sent on the 1st still says no events found and when i called aus post, they are telling me that they need to wait 8 business days before they can start an investigation. That's the 14th! WTF. They have no clue whatsoever if my letter has been delivered and told me to contact logitech to find out if it is delivered. Seriously what kinda **** is that. What's the point of registered post if it doesn't even tell whether it is delivered. And the best part is, they tell me they will not compensate for consequential loss. So now i dun have my receipts for a refund, and i can't claim it back.

    • Australia Post website ( http://contactus.auspost.com.au/app/answers/detail/a_id/87 ) says:
"If you would like the option of tracking items you send, please consider using our Registered Post or Express Post Platinum services."

      Another webpage ( http://auspost.com.au/personal/registered-post.html ) says:
      Benefits of using Registered Post
      Registered Post gives you:
proof that the article was sent (when lodged at the post office counter)
proof that the article was received - a signature is obtained on delivery
a unique identification number for every article
compensation for loss or damage of the article up to $100 for a standard registered delivery.

      • I know, which is why it makes me more pissed that there is no proof of delivery whatsoever. What's the whole point of registered post then. The problem with compensation is that they will only compensate if they have lost the item(s). In this case, i have lost the receipts which are just as good as losing the items value except they will not pay me what those receipts are worth to me. They call that consequential loss. All they will do is probably pay me another prepaid registered post envelope, which by now i totally don't see a point in using anymore.

        • try to contact logitech, explain the whole situation and ask if they can accept copies of your receipt/s (hopefully you have them) in these exceptional circumstances.

    Received and validated :D

    • lucky

      • Not so lucky when I was picking up the goodies..it was a nightmare in itself.

        • +1

          haha yeah
i had to rush to OW then rush to school, but the time i got to school assembly was on so i couldn't use the computers, so i had to wait 1 period(70mins) before lunch started then i claimed it

  • Just got off the phone with Logitech. They said they are still processing a lot of letters with 2 Feb stamp chops. They said 14 day is business days. So will see.

    • "Receipt(s) must be received by mail within 14 calendar days of online claim."
In 14 calendar days Logitech has to just receive the receipt. Any delay in validation is obviously Logitech's problem. I am sure they would have segregated mail (including regular mail) based on when they were received. People who used Registered Post and other means that has provided them proof of delivery (with date and time) have nothing to worry about how long validation takes. Logitech will most likely be generous with others as well, especially considering delays from their own side.

    • Hurray, mine is validated.. 2nd Feb regular post.

  • Just had mine validated. I sent it on 2nd Feb. So, I think they are starting to get onto those ones.

  • great! 3 0ut of 3 claims validated. from melbourne just regular post.

    • same here. sent 3rd Feb regular, just got the email notification!

  • Sigh..still waiting to be validated.
Sent regular post from Melb on the 1st Feb.

  • Thank you for sending in your claim documentation. Your claim has been received and validated. Please allow up to 28 days from the date your claim was validated for your refund to be processed.

    yes mine is verified
    here comes my cashback

  • sent mine out on the 4th via registered post, and they have validated it!waiting for cheque…

  • Funny story, I sent mine out on the 1st Feb at 7:25am. Problem was, I didn't know that stamps are now 60c and I have 55c stamps (I don't use snail mail to send out very often).

Anyway, I realised that and sent out an express post envelope yesterday around lunch time. Yesterday arvo, I checked Logitech's website around 5pm and my claim had been processed. Now express mail isn't that fast and Aust Post's tracking system says that the express post mail was delivered today around 7:48am… i.e. my 55c stamped original claim got through!

JB's package was to be delivered today but I wasn't home to sign… going to my work address tomoz. Thank you Logitech and Ozbargain.

      • really, not 5c though
i remember when they were 50c and went up to 55c
i posted mail with 50c stamp and was delivered, no invoice though

      • Sounds pretty silly to be invoicing for 5c. They'd spend more money doing the invoicing than what they'd get back!

      • A few years ago, my brother forgot to put a stamp on an envelop he posted and it got delivered anyway. I guess it would've been as much trouble for Aust Post to send the letter back to us as to the recipient.

    • If you sent your receipts in the 55c envelope on the 1st, and then realised that it might not get there, and sent the express post letter on the ?6th? What did you put in the express post envelope if you didn't have the receipts anymore?…

      • it could possibly be another legit receipt, as if asked some OW servers gives you a 2nd receipt

      • Online order and online tax invoice print outs are considered valid… I just reprinted the claim form and my online receipt. In this day and age, it pays to keep a PDF of all documents anyway.

  • has anyone actually gotten the cash back paid into their accounts yet or is it just at the validated stage atm?

    • one person here got the on the weekend it started

cash was received in bank account

      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/38616#comment-379566

      • Well not really. i had some money credited to my account with the description as Cashback. Didnt realise untill next business day that the money was Cashback from another source, not Logitech…..

        • oh LOL, sorry never mind coolstep, no-one has successfully claimed yet

  • +3

    I think it's official.
Australia Post lost my registered post.
    What **** service is that.

Logitech pretty much confirmed it via email that they could not find my claims in what must be a stack of thousands of receipts.

Thankfully though, Logitech being totally awesome are happy to have me sending photocopies of my original receipts to follow this through.

Thank god i thought of making photocopies in the first place

    Phew

    • that's very nice of them, very good customer service

    • wow AusPost lost it

      +1 to she_spools_180

yep logitech does have one of the best customer services(in the world possibly)(well far superior that other electronic customer services i have dealt with)
they even searched through the thousands of receipts

      Good on them and you!

oh and lucky you did photocopy the receipt

    • +1

Hey are you going to claim insurance from Australia Post for losing your registered mail?

If you do, then you've gained both logitech products and money from all this.

You are officially -THE CASHBACK MASTER- :P

      • Sounds like an excellent plan to me. I should make Australia Post pay me back for all the anxiety they have caused me.

Unfortunately, in the strangest twist of events, when i visited the post office to resend my claim forms and photocopied receipts, i was also told that my registered post have been delivered this morning, 10 days after i have sent it.

Guess that means that my receipts did get delivered before the 14 days deadline, and i can't get any compensation back from australia post. Best possible outcome from the sticky situation i guess.

  • +4

also to add to this about good customer service, I emailed them telling them about how both my girlfriend and I were filling out the online form and the cashback ran out. They emailed me back saying that in these exceptional circumstances they will honour my (and my girlfriend's) cashback refund!

    very happy! :)

    • haha yeah they are great

      Logitech allowed
      Non-qualifying promotional products before 1:30pm
      Lost recipts, photocopied ones
      Cashback running out

Logitech sure wants us to be HAPPY!!!

      • +3

yeah this promotion certainly goes down as one of the best organized and best customer service.

        Win to logitech.

        • +4

Well, I'm not sure if I'd call it the best organized, but the customer service has been really really good :)

  • +1

yeah the hotline is one of the best, i rang them up once and they were really helpful!
re processing, i sent mine registered post on the 3rd feb and the status changed to "Thank you for sending in your claim documentation. Your claim has been received and validated. Please allow up to 28 days from the date your claim was validated for your refund to be processed." yipee! three cheers for Logitech!

  • Only just got validation email from Logitech this morning. I bought separate items from JB Online and DSE Online. Only one of them have been validated so far even though I sent both in the same envelope (which I didnt want to do but it saved another registered post charge.

    • I am in the same situation. Let us wait and see..

      • I just got off the phone with Logitech and they said that for DSE Online orders you will need to send in the original Tax Invoice otherwise your claim will not validate and you will recieve a notice to please send this in within another 14 days.

  • two thumbs up for Logitech!!

  • Thank you for participating in the Logitech 100% Cash Back Promotion.

We are pleased to advise that we have received all required documentation and have validated your claim. You will be awarded a cash refund equal to the purchase price paid for your participating Logitech Product, as indicated on the purchase receipt.

All reasonable efforts will be made to process your cash back within 28 days.

        • +1

          LOL @ "In Penalty Box"

    • he claims in too many that's why he worried and send them email :)

      • They send that email automatically when your claim has been validated.

        • really?!
mine has been validated but no email yet

      • I Don't think that they will send the verification email..mine was validated a week back and still no email is there..

        • Maybe they just started doing it in the last couple of days? The verification email I got was sent by [email protected] and I got it the same day they verified it.

          The full email was-

        • @ Broden Jr

          wow, that's weird
i never got one of those

yea maybe they did start doing in the couple of days

        • got the same email a few days back

  • Got an email this morning. They have received mine at least. It was sent on the 2 Feb.

    "Thank you for your email.

We are currently in the process of looking into your claim. Please be advised an update will follow shortly.

    Thank you for your patience."

    • damn now i'm scared that i won't get cashback as i did not get the email

      • Did you buy through DSE Online? If so you need to send the original tax invoice you received with the delivery. Online order confirmation is not enough.

I'm epxress posting mine now :)

      • Did anyone else get the email without having to email logitech first?

  • I only got the email because I sent them an email asking what was happening with my claim.

    It was through officeworks online.

  • Your claim documentation has been received; however, your purchase was made outside the promotional period: 1/2/11 & 28/2/11. For that reason we cannot validate your claim.

WTF! I have a copy and it clearly says reprinted 1/02/2011 9:07am.

    • Do you have a photocopy of the receipts? If you email them explaining your situation they should be able to help you.

      Why reprinted btw?

      • When you ask DSE for a second copy of the receipt, it says "Copy Only. Reprinted x/xx/xxxx x:xx". I assume it's to prevent people doing dodgy stuff with originals. I just emailed them a photo of my copy.

    • Must have mistaken your claim with some one else's invalid claim. I'm sure Logitech will sort it out once you let them know. Good luck.

  • Shouldn't u be sending the first and original copy?

    • I did….why else would I have a copy only….?

      • Right, i misunderstood you. Sorry bout that. Anyway I'm sure this issue will get fixed up. Just probably a misunderstanding

  • All my claims got verified. Just waiting for cash now. Kudos to Logitech…. stocked up.

  • I only just got my validated too (I had sent mine via express on the 1st), so that's a relief it's been confirmed.

    • lplau and zenzola can you check your email address and see if you got the verification email? Thanks

      • Yes - i got send the confirmation email this afternoon - subject line was
" Logitech Cash Back Promotion - Your claim has been validated ".

      • Some of my claims came with a verification email, some didnt.

      • haha yeah and also a whole heap of emails

        • lol, i sent mine normal, at 10am on the 1st Feb….

  • +2

haha, for those interested, flashi007 was quoted in this article:

    http://www.lifehacker.com.au/2011/02/could-logitech-actually…

    • sweet :)

    • wow nice

      flashi007 is now a superstar

    • awesome - i'm here til tuesday - try the beef…

  • Finally have mine validated and sent my confirmation email. What a relief after 15 days of wait

  • i sent in my form on 2-Feb, 3 receipts via registered post in one envelope, from Melb CBD, and all have been received and validated…

    i haven't received any emails though…

  • Anybody received any items ordered via JB HiFi Online?
    I'm still waiting…

    • yeah i got mine from jb hifi.

  • Sent them an email last night asking what my status was since the tracking showed the receipt being received on the 4th, but I hadn't received anything yet. This morning I received an automated email with subject line "Logitech Cash Back Promotion - Your claim has NOT BEEN PROCESSED", because I hadn't sent the original receipt - I sent the order confirmation thing from Officeworks, didn't realise it wasn't the same thing - but an hour and a half later, I got the "claim has been validated" email without doing anything else, so hopefully that got through.

  • ok so i just got an email from logitech as well..
"Your claim has NOT BEEN PROCESSED" because I sent the order confirmation thing, rather than the receipt (which i didnt get until the goods arrived).
anyway just sent the receipts off via express post. i do have another 14 days for it to get there..but i want this thing dealt with asap!

  • I am not sure why you guys are being asked to send in the receipt and stuff. Both my claims went through and validated. My purchases were made online a jbhifi and dicks. I actually asked Belinda from logitech if it is alright to send in the paypal invoice thing and i was told yes. So that's what i did.

    • hmm maybe its coz u paid via paypal..and therefore u had a paypal invoice…
i paid via CC..so the only invoice i have is the one that came in the shipping boxes

    • hello! can i please ask which paypal invoice you sent in? i paid with paypal and dick smith is still backordering my products, so i want to send them my paypal invoice instead, but the only email paypal sent me is the "You submitted an order in the amount of $xxx AUD to Dick Smith Electronics‏" one.

is that the one you sent in?

  • jbhifi are dodgy. They sent me 2xK200 wired keyboards instead of 2xMK250 wireless desktops. Make sure you check what you get. Had to ring them up, they are going to get the items back and send me the proper item.

  • I got an email that stated: " Your claim form and receipt were received but unfortunately your Logitech product was purchased outside the promotional period: 1st February 2011 and 28th February 2011 or until the $300,000 prize pool was redeemed. "

Funny thing is I bought them online through wireless one at about 11am 1st feb but the tax invoice is dated 2/2/11 & the funds out of my credit card the same date. However I filled out the online application with the invoice no. prior to 1.30pm on 1st Feb and that invoice no. matches the number on the tax invoice. Will have to call them tomorrow to see what I can do.

    • the tax invoice is dated 2/2/11

      lol how?

that's weird, where did you shop?

    • +1

I purchased online from wirelessone as well and my invoice was dated at 4pm or something on the 1st (i paid via Paypal) when the offer was already done and dusted. I also included my Paypal receipt which showed the time (half an hour or so past mid-night) with the invoice. I'm sure Logitech will help you out once you explain the details. They should not deny you because your receipt numbers match. Good luck.

      • This offer was only valid if you are buying from shop. Online is not valid for this offer.

        • nope
          logitech is cool about it
they give the cashback to the products that were bought before 1:30Pm with promotional stickers
for online cashbacks you just show paypal transaction

    • +1

I bought at 8am in the morning of 1st and receipt was dated at 4pm, claim was rejected as outside the period. I called up and they said to include all the documentation and send it back.
I will be including my PayPal receipt, original email confirmation in addition to the receipt I received with order that I had previously sent.

      • +1

        @ dins and ruddj

I will be including my PayPal receipt, original email confirmation in addition to the receipt I received with order that I had previously sent.

        best to go with that
because logitech is being EXTREMELY generous about this promotion and giving many leeways of it.
