  • $200 on a keyboard, damn!

    • +3

Bought it for $250 a few years back. No regrets.

      • Do you have any keys that are dimmer than they're meant to be? Had this issue with two K65s in a row, Speed and MX Red versions.

        • Haven't had that with my K70. Were yours like that out the box or developed over time?

        • +2

Nope, all still going strong. I think the previous models had some issues, but corsair sorted them all out in later iterations.

        • I've got a k90 and it's definitely developed some dim/off color keys.

        • I have about 8 keys that have lost their LED and the paint coming off.. only 1 year old

      • do you ever regret only getting 6 macro keys when you could have had 18 in the previous revision (was also full RGB)

        • +2

My bad, I do have the full 20, not this 6 version.
I could honestly have lived without them. At most, one of my profiles was using 9.. But 4 of those were just things like pulling off a taunt in Heroes of the Storm, and similar.
Keep in mind that when you switch profiles you get a whole new set of macros. So it really comes down to if you think you'll be using > 6 macros for a single game or application, I guess.

      • A few years back? Are you sure it is the platinum edition? Different to k95 rgb

The RGB lighting gives better FPS so it's worth it.

      • +2

Not FPS, but right out of the box my StarCraft 2 APM went up from about 100 to around 350 and I'm now fluent in Korean.

    • corsair has good quality keyboards, after they fixed the LED issue

  • I bought last JB deal, Very nice keyboard!

  • -2

What advantage does this keyboard have over, say, a train, which I could also afford?

  • still too expensive
    bad design :
6 macro keys instead of 18 in previous rev
the 'tactile' raised nibs on the spacebar and other keys are not needed (and no one ever asked for?)

  • No love for the brown switches?

  • Wow thats a good price on these. Usually sit at $300 or close. I personally went with logitech g910 when it was $126 . Absolutely no regrets after using membrane for too long.

  • THX OP…
just grabbed the 2nd last one….
    thats a good $ saved..
wish this was here when i got my boy the g910 couple days ago, oh well ….

  • just noticed they added another 50 of them to listing… damn thats a shedload of premium kb to offload…
does anyone know any whispers of corsair bringing out an updated model??

This is actively still active! Just use "PIZZAZZ" as the code instead, and eBay Plus for free shipping, and it comes down to $197.21.

    • Mine arrives tomoz . Woohoo
Anyone got good link to profile repository for a quick load of some bling till i custom this bad boy up 😈
