  • Praying that I can actually get the laptop I've been after on this one from sydneytec

    • which 1 ?

    • +1

you r stuffed. theres only 3 MSI laptops showing up when I had a look

    • +3

Now that you posted it on ozb… you will be fighting to get it with another 10029238 people on here.

    • +1

The price was already jacked though. RRP is $3399 but it is currently selling for $3738.

    • Well you can, but the retail price is now twice what it was when you last looked.

  • +47

PICKITUP, check the jacked price, then put it down?

    • +2

PICKITUP, check the jacked price, LETITGO

        Are you French?

        Gerry!

    • -1

      What tax?

  • +4

If Allphones don't price hike, I'll pickup 2 nokia's for the parents.

  • No dcxpert, no deal.

  • +1

Any of these store sells Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 (Global Version) ?
OP do yo have search link for them?

    • +2

Please look into the nokia 3 and 5 before going xaiomi.

I LOVE xaiomi, however vanilla android and local support is worth a weight in gold.

      • +1

        Thanks. Lunks please ?

        • +1

All details can be found on gsmarena.
          Its the best site.

As i said, do keep in mind local waranty, vanilla android, and band28 (amazing aussie reception) as biiiig deciding factors, at least, imo.

      • the nokia 3 and 5 though lose out when it comes to price, spec and battery life or has something changed since I looked into this earlier in the year? the nokias are ok, but very underwhelming in a market awash with good devices.

        • It depends how you rank it.

The nokias easily make a day, which seems to be the norm people expect.

If you want more, grab a blackberry keyone like me and enjoy 3 days.

          Price? Nope.
          MAJOR price breakthrough last month.
Nokia 3s can be as cheap as $100 on sale.

Spec, on paper, they do lose a little. But vanilla android vs custom means its a much slimmer OS.
Id wager if you game you'd notice, but if you just phone/socials/browse, they'll be an equally speedy performance.

        • @MasterScythe:
          2gb ram is rather underwhelming.

        • @Duff5000: Only on paper.

In use modern Android has decent memory management.
I often use 2GB devices to flip between a web form, and a PDF document, and they don't reload.
I also commonly have 5+ tabs open.

Anyone doing much more than that isn't buying a $100 phone.

      • +1

yeah, nokia 7 plus is next phone we will buy …xiaiomi A1 is the last xiaomi we will buy it has android one but no band 28 or local service centre.

        • Seems a good phone. The one thing stopping me(apart from the whole size thing, which I have to get over - I know it is how you use it), the poor screen colours. Shame they can't give any adjustment like some other have.

  • +6

    need $30 ssd deals

  • Enough with this joke already!

  • +2

    Here come the SSD deals!

  • +7

    No Computer Alliance…….. Nevermind

    • I believe the words you are looking for are " no deal".

  • +1

    Someone make a search link?

    • Just search for one of the previous 20% off deals - it’s almost always the same stores.

    • +5

Some store ID's are wrong, I'll let someone else figure out which.
      This should be most though:

      >Search Link<

      • +6

        Fixed one of the stores:

        Search

        • +4

Heads up: Still gives an error

        • +2

How can I actually use these links to search within the sellers only? When I go to search something at the top bar, it reverts to showing me everything on eBay (not just listings by the selected sellers). :(

        • @xyron: view in Desktop site if on mobile device

        • +1

          @Gandalf the Thrifty:
I am on PC and when I open one of the above links, then search by using the search bar at the top it gives me sellers that are not in the promotion. I am with xyron, how do I search only the limited seller listings?

        • +2

          @g1:

click 'advanced' next to the search bar and search through there.

  • +4

Oooh. Replace the "P" and "I" with "J" and "A" and what do you get? Probably the smartest word play I have ever performed. Yay!!!!

    • +20

      JACKATUJ?

      • Interestingly when I put JACKATUJ into google it asked me if I meant "cockatoo"

        Not sure of the connection

      • Leave Uj out of this, he's not into that kind of thing.

    • Your parents will proud of you

    • +2

Dammit! foiled by my own cleverness which in the end wasn't clever at all. :(

    • -1

Oooh. Replace the first "P" and "I" with "J" and "A" and what do you get? Probably the smartest word play I have ever performed. Yay!!!!

      JACKITUP

    • name checks out

  • +1

here we go again on all memory card and SSD deal

  • More ebay codes please, so many lately loool

  • Was thinking of grabbing a Samsung 860 EVO 1TB for $325.80 from PC Byte using the 10% coupon, here's hoping they don't put the price of them up and I can grab 20% off instead!

    • Lol. It's pcbyte. They can't be trusted

      • They're not even listed anymore as being a participating store.

        • Pcbyte operate as though they are always on 20% off. If you ask them to be competitive, they just point you to the 20% off code. They and eBay are dodgy. Doesn't matter if they are in this particular deal, they are so frequently in these deals that they just operate that way regardless

  • +1

    no $5000 OLED no deal

  • +4

    Code should be JACKITUP

  • Another one?

    I gave up….

  • here we go again~~

  • +1

    No Price Jack No deal!!

  • I won't be able to resist another cheap memory card deal (even though I have six arriving in the post sometime from PC Byte).

    • What do you use 6 memory cards for?

      • +2

        To retain memory

      • Multiple devices.

        • Apart from mobile phones (mine doesn't have an SD Card slot) and cameras (I use my phone for taking photos) and dashcams (I bought…. 3 for mine. Only need one)…. what else uses them?

(I started the comment not really realising how many things actually still use them…)

  • excellent and I am planning to buy a pair of beats solo wireless 3 for workout and I had so many pair of overhead earphones and none of those are good for my sweaty head when i training at gym and hopefully this on ear and heavily bass works for me

    • +1

Ew beats. Surely you can do better for the money.

  • +2

    "SEDY Discount Warehouse"

    Yeh nah

  • any of these stores sell a xiaomi box 3 or amazon fire stick? or pushing my luck
seeing if i can get 20%off rather than the 10%off

  • +1

not sure why, but I feel like eBay is mocking me with every new code

  • -2

    No Computer Alliance?

    No deal.

    • -3

Not sure why everyone hate that comment and downvotes it :S

      • +5

        Because it's become tiresome.

        • +4

if anything the 20% ebay deal has become timesome with the usual price jack but I don't see anyone downvoting it?

        • +2

@Homr: Still deals to be had. Maybe not as much as actually 20% off, but it's better than 0% off.

      • Old and over done or maybe not that funny or maybe ozb peeps to serious or maybe downvoters have had a bad day. Maybe someone would like to enlighten Homr?

        • I didn't neg but it's basically off-topic, like going into a deal post about Adidas runners and saying "No Nike, no deal."

  • +2

For home brewing supplies Triple J's Home Brew has really good prices

  • TA is making it rain coupons at the moment, let's LAPITUP while it lasts. Great work, a new one every few hours!

  • this is more like it

  • +3

aaannndddd PC Byte have Jacked their prices.

      • I'm pretty sure how much shops jack up prices by depends on the discount. A 30% off discount would just mean prices get jacked up even more…

    • Yeah. Was looking at their pre-built computer bundles and components etc during the last few sales.

Their after-sale price wasn't much better than buying all the components from any of the major PC stores (so no picking and choosing cheapest from each shop). I think in general you save the cost of putting the components together, about $150 or thereabouts.

The problem though, is that buying components yourself, you have MUCH better components (e.g. for M.2 NVMe SSD, buying yourself you could budget for a Samsung Evo 970 vs PC Byte who uses ADATA SX_____ SSDs, which is about literally at least 2x the read/write performance; or PSU - PC Byte can provide an 80Plus Bronze PSU, you can budget for an 80Plus Gold PSU buying yourself).

They're good if you can't or don't want to put together a PC yourself, which is a valid concern, but they're not really all that competitive (even after sales) on price. Which is a shame.

    • Anyway to report them?

    • They're actually not listed as a participating store at all now.

  • Any music stores in there? Looking for an elec drumkit. Couldn't see anything obvious

  • Anyone know if any of these stores do dual monitor stands? Otherwise I'll search tomorrow…

  • Any of those stores selling a nintendo switch?

  • +2

I'm really interested to hear the thoughts of people on this one.

Does ebay think that people will hold off ever purchasing through eBay and wait for special discount code offers? (having to continue this approach)

Are they going to be that business that has offers all the time which doesn't actually equate to bargains?

It seems their almost using this discount code offer to promote the website to the masses (and hope for non-discount sales/added purchases)

    • Rich people will buy regardless of code or not.

Only the super ozbargainers will care about a $1 saving.

    • I would imagine Plus members will start getting more/better coupons once the free month is gone.
