Just seen this on the Shopback email. Looks like they have increased the cashback amount from the previous offer. Free money if you turn off auto-renewal. The previous ShopBack post also confirms that you no longer have to be active for 60 days to get cashback.

    • Should be fine. Just do a live chat after you have completed your order and ask them to activate the service on the sim card you have in hand.

    I brought Vodafone $50 Starter SIM (35GB Data, 180 Days Expiry) for $25 & $22 Cashback.

    • There is clicked history on my ShopBack account
    • Emailed to ShopBack showed my order from Vodafone
    • Activated my SIM within 30 days

    I got rejected the cashback. I was asked:

    "Confirm that you've not made any cancellations, returns of exchanges in the order;"

    I DID NOT make cancellations and DID NOT returns of exchanges in the order. How to confirm? What a joke?

    hey rep, can you issue $5 credit to those who bought in last week when it was $35?

    If you want people to think it's genuinely worth taking up an offer before it expires, instead of waiting a week with the assumption it will get even better if you wait, I think it would be a good gesture.

      We were clarifying with amaysim with the purchase of multiple plans. You will only get cashback pending for one plan regardless of how many you purchsae for the one amaysim account. If you wish to purchase multiple plans and get cashback on each, you will need to create a new amaysim account with another email address for each plan you wish to purchase.

          I don't think what gotyourback has described is unusual. Personally, I would've asked to clarify first before outlaying the extra $40.

          Ask Amaysim if they cancel and refund the additional order..?

          @pennypincher98: I think the answer to that comment is a no-brainer. Outlay is $20 vs $40, reward is $40 vs $60 respectively. Net gain is $20 vs $20.

          Reasons to buy the $40 plan:

          • Better data inclusion (15GB vs 2.5GB)
          • Earn points on an additional $20 worth of spend (on Credit Card expenditure)

          Reasons to not buy the $40 plan:

          • Risk (if you perceive that there is any) that Amaysim/Shopback could reject your cashback for some reason, so your "real cost" is $40 or $20
          • Higher initial outlay of $40 vs $20 for the same effective net reward. Higher initial outlay means foregoing offsetting an additional $20 interest, or foregoing the ability to earn on the $20.
        • We had been in contact with amaysim to clarify on multiple purchases, as indicated here. We understand you may have missed this, but we've just responded to your PM.

          We didn't feel the need to respond to this - but yes you get more data and you still get $20, but that's up to user discretion as to whether they will use up all the extra data or not (2.5GB vs 15GB), and whether they're willing to fork out an extra $20 initially :)

  • Well I received ShopBack cashback confirmation but I haven't heard a peep from Amaysim as to whether a sim card is coming or if they even know who I am

  • Am I able to select a new number for the SIM then port in using that SIM at a later date? I still have over a week left on my current prepaid and wish to use it up before switching providers.

      No! Enter number you want to port (current number) when ordering.
      Port process starts AFTER you receive & activate SIM.
      Amaysim takes its time to deliver SIMs in my experience & so many will be being sent out at the moment - took 6 days last week for new number SIM!

      Simply let us know the details of your existing number when signing up … Starting the transfer is easy and once you've received your SIM, simply log in to My amaysim with your amaysim number and password and click Start Number Transfer to begin your transfer.
      You can start the transfer at any time, however transfers will only become active between 8am - 8pm (AEST) Monday to Friday and 10am - 6pm (AEST) on Saturday.

      Ordering new number - SIM arrives already activated! As SIM can take a week to arrive & you may not want to use immediately - you lose all that access time! You can't then port your number!

      Am on free MyNetFone plan renewing 27/7. Last one failed to be cancelled by renewal date (gave over 1 business day notice) so was billed $45 (disputed & corrected). So easiest way is to port out. As Amaysim say can take up to 3 days, will start port process by 24/7 to be safe. Ordered SIM to port.

      Don't forget to turn off auto-renewal if not wanting to keep service. Billing by PayPal - can turn off payment there as well.

  • I don't have any active SIM with AmaySIM, but I do have existing AmaySIM account which I ported my number out months ago and I still am able to login, can I use my current email address or I have to use different email address? Thanks.

  • @gotyourback STOTRE rep from shopback can u plz tell me y it says " You can expect confirmation by 26 sep 2018 when our partner store ensures that you did not make any cancellation, return or exchange. Otherwise, the cashback will be adjusted or voided."

    Does that mean if we cancel service before this date cashbback will be declined. Confused as earlier it was said cancelling after month won't effect cashback and no such terms in condition too ?? confused

    • This is standard wording. Rep has separately (as you have already acknowledged) that there is no minimum "lock-in" period you have to hold this service despite that.

  • I got the cashback but it shows up as "calculating" and doesn't show the amount. Does it say that for anyone else?

    • Mine says: Description: Amaysim Mobile [123456], Available by: 26 Sep 2018, Amount: $40.00, Status: Pending. If I expand it, it says "Pending: Validating your cashback".

      Maybe leave it a day or two and see if it changes?

    When I logged into my Shopback account, there is amaysim in "Click Activity" but no confirmation.
    Some people here got the confirmation email instantly, so I am now bit worried. Rep, any ideas?

    • Same for me. Transaction still has not showed up on Shopback account and no confirmation email from Shopback. I was extremely hesitant to pull the trigger due to such "miss and hit" experience with Shopback. But decided to have a go after reading all the comments. Hope that this would turn out well.

    I bought the 15G plan which according to the deal should give 60.
    Shopback account overview only shows 45 pending not 60. What happened???

  • Bought the sim card last thursday, no confirmation. emailed shopback and asked to lodge missing cashback. Got auto an reply email stating they are investigating and could take up to 75 days!….
    i checked on my shopback account cashback overview showing it's tracked my visit on amaysim wesbite but not the part when i purchased the sim card :-(

        I noted from my Shopback account that my $60 cashback has been rejected. I'm asking the Rep to investigate since I followed exactly the purchase instructions and adhered to the T&C but the purchase was not tracked.

        It seems that majority here are on the 2.5G plan with $40 cashback deal, I'm wondering if anyone here who are on the 15G plan with $60 cashback have their purchase tracked and showed up as pending on their shopback account? Reason for asking is I'm not sure if the $60 cashback deal was in Amaysim original offer?

  • Ok so my sim card arrived and it has a sticker on it saying "I'm already active and good to go". The cash is showing as pending in my Shopback account. How do I avoid an automatic recharge at the end of the billing period?

    • Just login to your Amaysim account. Go to Manage Plan and turn off auto-renew.

      • Something is very wrong. If I log into another amaysim account, I see heaps of options including the one you mean.

        If I login to the amaysim account I got with this deal, it has barely no options. I can't tell if the sim is activated or not but it must not be cause in the phone it says 'not delivered' if I try send an sms, however it shows the network carrier as amaysim at the top of my phone. When logged in on the website it says activate sim and I click it and it takes me back to the dashboard and I get in a loop. I think I will need to contact amaysim support.

        • @hetzjagd: I turned off auto-renew from my Amaysim account once I received and activated the new SIM.

        Haven't figured out how to activate this SIM. Logged in, next to old number was the new one with a button saying activate, from the it clicked through to a blank page saying plan??

  • I ordered 15GB & 2.5GB on the night of the 12th. Received both on the 17th with the 15GB one preactivated and the 2.5GB not. 15GB was paid via Paypal, 2.5GB credit card. Both new numbers.

    • My 15Gb is also pre-activated. I only got it 2 days ago, put it in my iPad today, haven't activated online and I only have 20 days left.

      Also, online it says "This month's charges $80.00" - what does that mean?

      • Well that's interesting, I got an SMS this (thursday) morning saying:

        we noticed you've only just started using your amaysim SIM, so we've restarted your plan date so you get the most out of your plan

        I checked and sure enough it went back to 28 days remaining.

        Where is it showing "This month's charges $80.00" online? I don't seem to have that showing anywhere.

          I pay by credit card. I called them and they said nothing should be withdrawn at the expiry if I turn off autorenew.

          They also gave me $10 credit for the extra days they took from me which is ok since I have another Amaysim that I use sometimes and can use the credit for that.

    • I've had the same issue. Very disappointed.

      It's the second time for me I've had an issue with ShopBack. First one was Ola which gave me an incorrect cashback amount. And this time my cashback was rejected despite only going through Shopback.

      I may not use it again.

    • Yeah I tried appealing twice, quite disappointed. I paid through the app so the list of "tips" they copy and pasted to me don't even apply.

    • Contacted ShopBack about my cashback getting rejected, hopefully will get it.

  • Says activated on the sim they send out but once you log in need to provide ID to activate. Also don't forget to verify email, choose BPAY as payment method and turn off auto renew.
