Dyson V10 Cyclone Absolute Plus Vacuum $799.20

Nice to see that the discounted price has finally come down. Snagged one from the eBay Plus sale last month. Worth it.

    • +1

Wife loves hers too. She can just about retire her other 3 vaccuns.

      • +1

        one for each room?

      • I'm contemplating getting one but the battery run time puts me off.

How long are you getting on medium with a motorised head?

        • i found i vacuum about 4x faster with the handstick so the time didnt become an issue for me at all.

        • @alebox:
Still would be good to know.

    • what's diff between animal & abs+ ?

animal was $599 during ebay plus launch

      • More attachments with the Absolute

      • Different attachments otherwise the same unit.

      • +4

I'm pretty sure it was absolute. Why? Because, I bought one.

        • And it's pretty good. At least better than the V6 that it replaced.

        • It was absolute+, not just absolute.

      • Animal only has the direct drive head, which is good for carpets but not so if you have hard floors, especially hard wood. The direct drive would scratch the wood.

Would recommend getting the Absolute versions because it has the soft roller head and more attachments.

      • animal only has 1 ab… not abs (anymore).

    • I agree. We got ours a few months ago at the same price - worth every cent. It is great.

If you think a dyson is good, wait until you try a Kirby vacuum.

    • +3

Waiting for 1200% off 20+ selected products.

      • +2

What, as in they pay you 1100% for taking the product?

  • +7

Wow, some of the pre-discount price-jacking is audacious.

    • +4

      ACCC anyone?

Seriously it takes such an effort to make a formal complaint and then they will ignore it unless there are 100s of detailed complaints.

      • +1

May be send them the link to OZbargain links.
Someone did it for Kogan and it needs to be done again making ebay and sellers party to it.

      • +1

I'll do it if there's any easy way to see price changes and the date they occurred. Isn't there some built in eBay price history for an item?

    • I saw the Alogic HDMI 10m cable for $44, after discount is $35. You can get it at CPL for $21

  • Any budget Dyson hand held?

    • looking for it too

  • +17

Really wished ebay would have a better 'search' for these deals.

    • +2

Really wish ebay had some real deals, but yes I agree.

    • +3

eBay has always been an enormous dung heap in terms of user interface.

      • Not always, it was quite good back in 2001 about 2 years after it started and has gradually gone downhill since. Some genius always thinks it needs changing for whatever reason and only makes it worse.

  • No nokia 7 plus damn…

  • +1

Some of these deals are worse than PROXY. For example Galaxy S8 is now more expensive.

  • Home appliances and not one kettle 😕

  • Tried to use this code on iPad case but got rejected. I guess this only applies to phones but not tablets :(

  • +1

Had my eye on this before the sale @ $288. Sale comes around with a 20% discount coupon, and they jack the price by 39%.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Tefal-Pro-Express-Care-Iron-…

Are people actually dumb enough to fall for this?

    • +7

eBay saved you the money. No-one needs a god damn $400 IRON.

      • +2

To be fair, $100-150 might be okay for a really good steam generator. If it was just an iron, the $21.20 Braun TS725A ought to be enough for everyone.

        • Please only link to non-expired deals :p

You scared me. I paid $38.50 for a lower model number during prime day. On the basis there were no cashbacks at the time and it solved domestic complaints.

      • At $400 I'd agree with you. But that iron for closer to $230 I'd be happy with.
I get that not everyone can justify paying that for an iron.

    • You are absolutely right. I previously thought that Bing Lee didn't price jack but it looks like they are in on it too sometimes.

    • I have an iron like that. Same brand, older model. It's honestly a piece of shit. So annoying to use, water finishes quickly and it isn't heavy.

Get a heavy iron with a metal base.

    • I've gone through 4 Tefal stream generators in about 4 years. They are garbage. :(

    • Yes :/ 2 have bought it at the jacked price.

Any Miele CX1 vacuum cleaner deals? Can't seem to find any except the PROXY deals. TIA

  • +1

    Is there anyway to search?

  • love it but still yet to pull the trigger on the v10,cant really justify the price. not sure if these xiaomiare any better?

    • will get that if 20% gearbite / sitewide

  • Slightly unrelated to the v10 of which I have and absolutely love.

The Dyson-Pure-Hot-Cool-Link-Purifier at $649 then the additional 20% with the PLUGIN code is a steal considered that apparently staff only receive 25% off the RRP

    • +1

Yeah takes it down to $520. Picked one up on ebay a month ago at this price.

Actually a little side story for ebay Plus. When good guys were having the 20% ebay sale I was trying to buy this and their ebay page was having huge issues (couldn't check out etc). I called ebay Plus and they gave me a $130 coupon to use on Bing Lee who also had it for $650 (but weren't having a 20% off sale at the time) to make sure I didn't miss out. So kudos to ebay Plus customer service for helping me out. Convinced me to extend the trial and get a year sub.

  • Does anyone know how to search eBay and just get results that are included in these promotions? I know sometimes users create links but was wondering about how I'd go about doing myself… Cheers

    • I think you've gotta do a filtered search listing all the included stores. However, I'm not sure how to go about this one since it's 1200 items not x number of stores to choose from.

      • Thanks :)

  • Your phones link took me to the same PARKA sellers that list the PARKA code.
We should be able to stack the codes. Seems to be a mix of PARKA and PLUGIN sellers

  • The Sandisk and Samsung memory cards are really expensive.

  • Hey everyone Im really tempted to pull the trigger on the Yamaha - 2Ch Soundbar System - YAS-107
I cant find it anywhere below $350. at least with the 20% off it brings it down to @208.20 delivered
Does anybody own one? Reviews seem good

    • +1

It’s been around $160 a few times so depend on how desperate you are for one? It’s well reviewed on here but personally it didn’t have enough lower end for me, I ended up buying the 207 with a sub for $320 from TGG sale and I love it.

      • i remember seeing it $160 on here. tho it was pick up only.. In qld last time if im not mistaken
        btw pulled the trigger haha

  • I am trying to get the BOSE QC 35, PARKA coupon code is not working for my order even though its mentioned in the Product page.

  • I have the v6 stick and really like it, so very tempted o get this upgrade. He only issue I have with the v6 is that it doesn’t pick up slightly larger items, like small lollies or small scraps of paper. The tube often gets blocked and needs to be cleared before use, soi need to go around the house and manually pick up or sweep the floor before I use the v6.

I was wondering if the v10 has improved or do people have these same problems?

  • Wow seems like some good deals - I can’t seem to find the products with 20% off for either this or the other PARKA code

Looking for raspberry pi model b+, google ‘home’, Arlo Pro 2 camera only… of course only descent pricing not the jacked up ones…

    Thanks

    • You can already pickup a Pi 3 B+ for ~$50 full price, both eBay and other online retailers.

      • Ok great.. thanks

  • +4

can anyone provide a search link please?
