Upcoming COTD Sale on Tuesday 22-02-2011. New item every hour

915

Some deals are quite good bargain. An example is XBOX360 250GB + Kinect Bundle for $349 or WD Passport 320GB for $29 or Samsung 32" LCD HD TV for $299.
Don't really need any of it, but thought some people who are considering buying some of these might be interested in this.

      • +3

fffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu COTD these will be sold out seconds after the sale goes live… dont waste your time

    • Agreed. Flame on?

  • SPAM!

    • +2

No its not. Just got this in an e-mail and thought someone would be interested. Jesus, relax man.

      • dont even know why you post this…its not active hence spam

  • +2

    Isn't COTD banned or something?

    • Have no idea. If it is, then i apologise and mods please feel free to delete this.

      • I think I'm wrong. I still see alot of recent post about them.

    • Just in a bit of a twit with them:
I ordered a 10 port USB hub, with other things i would normally not have bought (but with a shipping cap …)
Now the USB hub is apparently faulty.
They refund the port but not the shipping because they say I've bought other stuff with it.
      COTD is really BAD.

They put this stuff on every once in a while. Their servers crash. IF YOUR LUCKY you might get a PS3 of total pool of 2.

BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG NEGATIVE for CRAP OF THE DAY

    • -1

IF YOUR LUCKY you might get a PS3

So why the neg? …… you concede that some people do get the item, and at least the retailer is being up front

You will be competing for access to the deals with over 200,000 visitors on the day. If you are not the competitive type, take the day off and we will see you on Wednesday for the biggest Catchathon EVER.

      • +3

Sounds more like a competition than a bargain to me… (and from experience that's exactly what it is too).

  • +3

Sure guys, this is a great deal! But you gotta be quick, there's only ONE OF EACH ITEM EVERY HOUR!

If anything, at the end of all this you will realise how patient/impatient you really are.

  • +2

shud be in the forum.. deal not active..

  • People are far too harsh….take a chill pill!

  • +2

waste of time, though still lots of people will do

    Server Crash of the Day

  • Has anyone here actually been lucky enough to get something in one of these sales?

  • +5

    New SPAM every hour…

  • +3

    Crap of the day

  • +1

Only the top 6 voted for deals will be available. Given current voting the Xbox deal wouldn't make it (unless CoTD make it one of the "surprise deals" - If I was them I'd hold it for another sale). Currently more people are excited by the savings from a pair of thongs instead!

    Server Crash of the Day

    • +2

      welcome to 8 minutes ago!

  • +4

It's a total waste of time trying to get one of these deals!!!

  • I completely gave up on these things the last time around.
    So utterly pointless.
It only appeals because it's like gambling.

  • +5

If you manage to get the item to your shopping cart, it will error on the payment screen. by the time you try and refresh. the stuff has been sold out.

More chance of winning lotto. Actual fact, I should just post "Play Lotto for $13 and win 1million"

    This deal is similar

  • COTD - nuff said!

  • +2

Hate to say like a fan boy but I read they were spending over a million on server upgrades in January, not sure if this went through but I guess Tuesday will be a good test. http://www.catchoftheday.com.au/news.php?article=513

    • nice

      wisc likes this (thumbs up)

good to see they have a mill to spend on servers though!

    • +1

they grossed $24,200 on a "mystery box"! Fffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

    • they said that last time. all marketing!

  • would be a positive only if they were open about how many of each item was available

    • and if the servers didn't crash.

  • i'm waiting for it to be yet another fantastic COTD patented Crap-A-Thon…….[orders an extra 36 roll toilet paper]

  • shit items. I bought a pair of headphones they were from a european country. Fail of the day.

  • Freeking waste of TIME! Never get a chance to buy anything. Only managed to get to the payment page before…………… you know it.

COTD, please STOP wasting our time if you DO NOT have the stocks to backup.

  • YOU DECIDE THE DEALS 2011???COTN,catch of the negtive.

  • Just like any other deal that has limited stock, this is not a bargain (same thing for limited ebay items)

  • -1

They have a limited stock. Its a marketing ploy to attracted people to their website. So what? Every company does it. How many posts are their on here that run out of stock??? $299 is a bargain, and if your any good as a bargain hunter you will be on the site and refresh as soon as its live, if it crashes so what? You miss out and move onto the next bargain. These COTD, Scoopons etc all stuff up, but then again your getting something for cheap cheap. i love taking the risk and getting a bargain. Stop whining!

    • "They have a limited stock. Its a marketing ploy to attracted people to their website. So what?"

      It's illegal.

      • It illegal if the stock amount isn't reasonable. How come the accc haven't stopped them if they are doing the wrong thing?
I just think a good deal needs to be jumped on, they can't supply crazy cheap items to all of Australia.

        • it's not reasonable. read the previous listings re: stock levels including a link to a blog by an ex employee.

  • so who was able to get the $29 harddrive?

  • Hey does anyone know which model is the samsung 32" HD LCD TV?
