    These any good?

    • +3

      No.

    • …yeh i wanna know too!

      • Because they aren't a perfect circle shape..

Why do you think? They taste horrible.

Try them and see for yourself, if the multiple comments expressing this haven't yet persuaded you.

        • damn…i only eat perfectly circular onion rings(as the name implies)so thats a deal breaker for me

      They taste like cardboards

      have to ask tony.

    • yes, use a deep fryer, nicer than the Aldi ones.

they are made from onion mash made into a ring, hence no jumbo or tiny ones,

great with steak and chips, though the crumbs do dirty the oil quickly.

      time to stock up.

  • Obviously a good price; what are these like?
Are they actually rings of onion, battered, or are they rings of batter with some pieces of onion in the batter. I've had good and bad but can never recall the brands.

    • Bird's eyes crumbed with onion pieces.

    • They have actual onion rings, but not very big and I find the crumb a bit bland.

These aren't that good, go to Costco they sell some decent ones.

  • Gonna take a risk and try these. Love me some onion rings. Cheers :)

    • +3

      I wouldn't recommend it.

      • I did try them, quite tasty actually. Not as good as chicken treat or hungry jacks onion rings but they weren't bad.

        • Who supplies HJ ones? I think it maybe Birds Eye.

Obviously anyone who knows rings know Beer Batter Angry Onions is the way to go.

  • +4

Aldi ones are better tasting and $2 everyday.

Why buy these, cheaper and easier to make your own taste a lot better too

    • +1

      easier to make your own

      Please explain

    • How could it possibly be easier?

    • Making onion rings is hard for the average person. I do agree they're tasty tho

  • +1

These are not enjoyable. Very strange taste.

    • …not to mention they arent perfectly cricular. FALSE ADVERTISING

The onion rings are better at hungry jacks

    • +1

one thing i miss about not eating hjs (& fast food in general)…was hoping these were like them :(

      • they are …. but you have to cook vs HJ cooked for you.

    • came here to say this. hungry jacks onions rings are the best.

  • how do you cook these?

    • +4

      Boil them.

    • I've deep fried them, air fried them, oven baked and microwaved them. If you can get it just right, oven baked is the best.

    • I cook these in an airfryer for about 12-15 minutes on high with a light spray of oil.
I actually think they taste pretty good for a frozen snack as well, not amazing, but a good change from chips every now and then.

      • Cut onion into thick bits, soak for 1-2 mins in milk to pull out some of the acid (longer will make them taste less like onion which is good for kiddies) then flour nd crumb or batter.

So much better, so much cheaper, so much messier. What isnt yo love besides my spelling grammer and puncuation.

    • deep fryer, 180c about 3 mins.

rice bran oil is great, high smoke point and one of the healthier oils in a deep fryer.

  • +1

    Unfortunately the packaging taste better

  • Were any onions harmed in the making of these?
