    Jack from Futu is ready

  • +4

Can someone please ask for search link.

  • +6

    This is getting ridiculous.

    • +1

I agree, the comments are always the same. I get a little bit dumma every time I read them.

      • Surely at this mornings board meeting TA can arrange a minimum $120 spend for us.

      • ha! :)

  • I am just wondering why do they even bother to do this if the prices are jacked? Try to trick the people got bad memory?

    • +3
      1. Still cheaper but not as much as you would expected.
      2. Sellers earn more and pay more fee to eBay
      3. eBay incurs promotional costs more
      • Replied to point #1

Coolermaster mm520 on eBay $62.40 after 20% off

        vs

        Coolermaster mm520 on Umart $49

        vs

Coolermaster mm520 on JW Computer $59

        Still cheaper? How?

        • Cheaper than without 20%. Seriously? Why do you think eBay is the cheapest place to buy?

          • @AussieGargain: No, that's not what I meant, I have never thought eBay would be the cheapest place to buy.

I posted the prices was to prove they are not the cheapest and not even close to a competitive price, which is to backup my point at the first place, "why do they even bother".

And to response to your "Cheaper than without 20%" comment, if they jack the price and then the discounted price is similar or even the same as the one before jacking, how do you call it "cheaper without 20%"?

            • @wahkow: Normally I would agree, but your point is null, because the eBay listing has shipping free.

  • -1

May save us time letting us know when the prices go up 20% this happens so often.

  • -2

They PROMISEd us a sale, and here they are, delivering on that.

    • +1

      boom tish

      tough crowd :)

  • +11

I think if we do a review of 2018, you'll find there's a '20% off' sale for 95% of the days. It's been my one gripe with these blanket deals that get mindlessly upvoted, clouding actual BARGAINS. E.g. An original item being price jacked from $100 to $120 then coming back down to $96 is not a bargain.

    • +4

$4 is $4. At least that what i keep telling myself after that dodgy bux party! ;-)

    • Agree that most of these 20% sales aren't 20%. But saving $4 as per your example is a bargain to some right? People get annoyed when they forget to use cashback for the extra 2 cents :-)

      • Cashback no longer offered, so these 'deals' are getting even less attractive. I miss the old Ozbargain days where there were actual bargains on an item rather than a blanket '20% off' post with literally barely anything that is a bargain.

        • Cashback no longer offered, so these 'deals' are getting even less attractive

The 1% cash back really made that much of a difference?

          • @aja12: For some it did, for me no. I prefer a higher upfront saving where to be honest with these eBay 'deals' there's barely anything after Jack comes into play.

        • I was just thinking it’s been a while since I saw a real bargain. The sort where you rush to the store before it gets cleared out.

      • Unless it's a house, 4% off is not a bargain. If that's a bargain the website would be flooded with all sorts of nonsense.

    • +1

I see if there's any booze but don't even bother looking at any other stores. For me, it's a waste of time.

    • Of course all the sellers will be consulted before agreeing to the 20% sale, hence giving them time to jack up their prices before the voucher code gets activated.

I've found better deals going to brick and mortar stores recently

  • This deal was posted 14 minutes ago, and no search link from BlazinPast yet? Disgraceful :-)

  • +1

Wish a musical instrument shop like SCMusic or BetterMusic was apart of the list. Hopefully soon.

  • Here we go again

  • +2

just waiting on 20% off from the good guys…

    • Me too.. lots of 10% offs lately but need a 20 before christmas!

      • Me three :(

    • Don't think it will be anytime soon

  • so where do we get the best deal of the v8 vacuums
the names and models are so confusing but i guess higher is newer better?

  • is there a link that combines all the stores where we can search from?

  • +6

    Search link: https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_saslop=1&_sasl=123t_aust…

    There's a couple sellers/stores that I couldn't find:

I'll update the link if any progress is made…

    Edit: Link updated

  • Allphones Online have only iphone 5SE, 6s and 7s (in their iphone range) on their ebay store. What happened Allphones - you used to be my go to place for family and friends? Where's the iphones from the last two years onwards?

    • Pretty sure they didn't care much after Mobileciti bought it out. It's seemed like it ever since then.

    • -1

not backing them but probably due to apple instructing everyone not to sell new phones at 20% off. you know many sheeps will jump on apple product at that kind of discounts

  • Does this stack with anything else>?

  • Any 1TB Evo 860 deals?

  • Any cheap android boxes that is priced similar to the Xiaomi?

  • +1
    • BrandHouseDirect

BEWARE - Many Members have unresolved issues with that vendor.

  • Thanks OP. Was going to get something from OzPlaza Living from Catch last night but put it on hold. They didn’t jack up the price for the item i purchased in Ebay.

    • One of the better sellers on ebay to locals. had some damage on a bed frame during shipping and they sent me a whole new one instead of just the damaged part after i sent them a pic.

Their stuff is pretty generic made in china but at least prices on ebay are always cheap and kept low. No price jacking during ebay 20% off promos.

  • Wish target would do an eBay sale.

  • Keep going won't stop.

  • Hey guys any very good deal of PSU power supply for computer minimum 600w semi modular 80+ bronze?

  • +3

Blows my mind how these sites can justify the price they want.
I was looking at the Sony Alpha 5100 camera as a pressie for someone and sweat! 20% off.
I can pick it up for like 70 bucks cheaper thru the 10% code, geez its cheaper without the code.

Clearly they are price jacking, the price is so random in the first place and just seems so detrimental as I will just go elsewhere.
These codes are just a waste.

  • -1

Btw, these sales are ridiculous. I got a new surface go and thought I'd get a USB-C connector thingo and prices on ebay are so inflated - that when you pop over to amazon, the connectors are only $28 vs the $45+ on ebay.

I scored a great deal @ myer but they are a legit store and didnt price jack but all these other misc stores - you really gotta do your research and also outside of ebay.
