      When did you order?

      • at 10:33 am

        • Yesterday or today?

          • @lplau: it wasn't available at this price at 10:33am yesterday, so it would've been today.

            • @CartoonPizza: Guessing this is also through their website as the eBay listing restocked around 5am and 11am today.

          • @lplau: This morning. I ordered it from their main website with paypal.

            • @terrakio: What a bugger! I'd keep checking/refreshing the eBay page in case they restock and try pick one up there.
              Good luck!!

            • @terrakio: Click n Collect or Delivery?

            • @terrakio: If it was Click n Collect maybe system was wrong and they genuinely didn't have stock?

    • +3

Oh Oh…I feel the inevitable coming.

      • +2

I think there was someone who ordered yesterday via eBay saying their order was dispatched, fingers crossed!

        • -1

Ahh ok, well lets see :)

And a big up yours to whoever down voted my comment lol

          • @hsjyes: Lol!! Have an upvote… :)

        • +2

Ordered mine from eBay last night. Got confirmation that my order was on its way about an hour ago.

    • Did you order on eBay or the GG website?

      Click n Collect or Delivery?

  • Will JBHIFI price match?

    • +2

No, I just tried. $515 is the best they’ll do.

    • Below is JBHIFI's response on price match. I sent them an email earlier today.

      Thanks for your email.
As long as they have the item in stock we can absolutely match The Good Guys price of $379.
If you need any extra assistance with games or extra peripherals , a member from our games team will be happy to help you.
      Hope to see you soon.

      Kind regards,
      Julien Piazza | Sales Manager
      JB Hi-Fi Oxford Street

      • +2

Ok, well I tried the Miranda store and they checked with the Manager and said no.

      • Its their own company LOL

    • Possibly, if it was still up on their main website. Now that it's gone, there's no chance.

  • Is there a way to move downloaded games from Xbox One S to X, or does one need to download all games again?

  • +7

Successfully price-matched @ jb hi-fi, For $379. I asked for the white console as well. Seems to be different from store to store, I called another store first and they said they price match told them the good guys price and he said that they don't have the console by itself only in a bundle with battlefield. Weird, I said its available to click and collect with just the console and he said they couldn't match. TL:DR Just call different stores.

    • +2

Lucky, considering it's been removed from their website. They obviously didn't check, as it hadn't been available for C&C since last night.

      • When I called it was still on the website for $379. As I said above some stores are different to others + I called ahead to save disappointment.

    • Nice one!!

      • Brought this one just in case the delivery order gets cancelled. As soon as eBay price went to $649 I was like guess its a price error better secure another lol. And now the website has taken it down so I think I'm gonna get a cancellation email soon.

  • I believe they will honor ebay orders,i bought a force fx riot batton from ebgames ebay at %95 discount price error.they cancelled orders that were placed on their website but the ebay ones got through.
maybe something in the ebay rules makes them follow through? or they simply didnt want the negative feedback

    • +1

Likely the negative feedback bit. 300 negative feedback is a over 50% of their accumulated Negative Feedback within last 6 months.

    • As a general comment I think sellers only have a certain number of "cancelled" transactions they are allowed before eBay will potentially restrict your account from selling (example reduced number of listings) . It will probably be the same with TGG but they might have a 'higher' allowance for cancellations due to the size of their business… in saying that they probably don't really want to risk their eBay store having restrictions with the amount of revenue it would generate by not honouring the sales.

  • If they cancel an order can you still leave negative feedback?

Doesn't it disappear from your summary/orders?

    • +3

You still can, any cancelled orders comes up under "cancelled orders" under the Purchase History.
I think you can only do it after a certain number of days though once the order is cancelled.

      • How long do you have to wait? I have an order canceled by seller three weeks ago, they never had stock. Still cannot leave negative feedback.

        • From memory I had to wait 7 days because they were power sellers.

      • Um, you probably under-estimate Power Sellers in feeBay.
One of the power sellers could not fulfil my order (no stock, oversold). The staff could easily sense that I wasn't happy at all. She swiftly cancelled my order and that order simply disappeared out of my history.

That's one of the big difference between power sellers and standard / casual sellers. As a casual seller, even if I sensed the buyer is dodgy, I cannot simply cancel the order. It had to be a mutual agreement. Not so for power sellers.

Not worth upgrading if you already have an xbox.

New ps5 and xbox will be out in 12-18 months.

I upgraded last year from an xbox one s as i had a new 75inch samsung tv. Difference is negligible. It looks slightly sharper and there are no killer games to take advantage of it.

Prefer my pc to be honest

    • +10

      Nice honest review.
But this is OZBargain. Buy now, think later.
Probably 9/10 of us have a PS4 Pro, Xbox One S and/ or Switch but still got this anyway because it's an awesome price.

    • On the contrary, I had an XBox One but my kids have a One S

I noticed a significant difference, and every time my kids watch me play or use my Xbox, they can notice the difference. So it's up to the individual if they want to fork out a few hundred extra for faster load times and better graphics/

      • +2

Agreed, even on a 1080p monitor, the graphics are a lot better compared to a One S.

      • -3

wait so you're noticing a difference between the original xbox one and the xbox one S? there shouldn't be a visual difference between those two

        • Shorty is comparing the One S and X

I was comparing the Original One & One S with the One X……

          • @Danstar: ah my mistake, read "had" as "have" at the beginning, oops

          • @Danstar: Missed it too… sorry. I was comparing One S and X.

    • You need a better tv then, one that's actually capable of 4k hdr

      • S can do HDR too and 4K blu-ray but it's true the X is vastly superior in being able to play games at native and sub-4K.

  • +5

Dispatched mine at 8am. Ordered on ebay just before it sold out the first time last night.

    • +1

Ordered mine last night too, but haven't received anything yet. :(

  • +6

Picked up my Xbox One S and One X this morning from TGG Traralgon. Bought via eBay. Tax Receipt shows advertised price of $249 and $379 respectively. Got no troubles. Hope this helps someone.

    • Why did you buy the one s as well?

      • +4

So he can make comparisons? lol

        • +1

One for 1080p TV, one for 4K HDR TV.

  • +5

Ebay now says listing ended so 300 sales was the magic number?

  • +3

I bought it from their website at about 8:30 this morning and got a confirmation email, but nothing else. The listing was deleted from the site about a couple of hours ago, and someone else in here mentioned their website order was cancelled, but mine hasn't been yet…anxiously waiting for that shipped email, hopefully I just managed to snag one.

    • +2

I'm in the exact same position. Fingers crossed

      • +3

Well the other guy ordered at 10:30am and had his order cancelled at 12, so I figure if the order was going to be cancelled they would have done it by now. Actually took $350 of the order and bought gift cards through work to save $20 so if they cancel and refund, might've just lost $350 so reaaaally hoping this comes through.

    • +3

Ordered mine at around 9:pm last night, still no shipped email yet. :(

    • +1

Since your waiting on a shipping email i'm guessing yours was a delivery order?

The canceled GG website order mentioned earlier may have been a click n collect.

From memory if system is wrong and no stock at click n collect location GG cancels the order without trying to source stock from somewhere else???

Someone else can weigh in if they've had a different experience with GG especially re scarce stock.

      • Mine is a delivery order from eBay

        • Same but 12am approx this morning.

      • Oh damn well I hope that was the case. C&C wasn't available anywhere when I bought it this morning, but Delivery was still in stock

  • +4

Ordered about 10am this morning from their website and collecting it from my local after I pick the kids up from school this arvo.

  • WTf the order disappeared form my history?!!!!

I still got the email confirmation though

    • Yeah mine isn't in my history either, didn't see it there beforehand so for me it's been gone all morning.

      • I used a $100 gift voucher card too with the order from prezzee

Now calling up customer care :S

      • +3

Now they are telling me it is a pricing error and a refund is being processed for everyone within 3-5 working days???

is this bs, anyone else get that response? ANyway to dispute?

        • Was yours eBay or GG website order?

          • +1

@prxy: I'm assuming a GG website order as you used a gift card from prezzee?

        • That's bullshit, it was labelled 'As Advertised', surely they can't cause this much of a (profanity) up and just shrug it all off with a refund, (profanity) that's annoying. And people have had theirs shipped through ebay! What about us

          • @Hendo16: Yep just called them and customer care said I cant even get my prezzee card back, they will be re-issuing a generic goodguys gift card back to me which is useless as I have nothing I want to get from there :S!

The lady told me they received 500 units and none has been dispatched from the pricing error and all will be refunded.

            • +1

              @shinpathy: **** them!

              • +1

                @tadinhah: I'm so angry!!

Can't even use my gift card elsewhere now, completely trapped by them with a useless GG's only egift card that will take 2-3 days to refund.

            • @shinpathy: That's so messed up, I bought a discounted gift card through work for $350 to save $20 and now they're just gonna give back the gift cards? I hope I get my money back because that's just disgusting, if they pulled it last night when they knew they ran out of stock after the ebay incident (and it went back online this morning as well, what's up with that?) then we wouldn't be in this position.

            • @shinpathy: According to earlier posters that is not the case.

              • +1

@prxy: Then the lady is outright bullshitting me as I mentioned to her a few people got dispatched notifications already and she said they were automated and she can confirm that none has been shipped.

                • +1

@shinpathy: We should leave them a ton of negative feedbacks for their dodgy behaviour.

                  • +1

@tadinhah: I hope they're expecting 300 negative feedbacks if they pull this off on eBay.

                  • +2

@tadinhah: If the eBay orders get cancelled after they restocked on 3 or 4 separate occasions, everyone should be logging complaints against them through eBay and leaving negative feedback, hopefully eBay will suspend their store.

Looking at their feedback, 5% of it is negative this month which is a pretty poor record.
Fingers crossed we'll find out soon on whether the eBay orders will be fulfilled, suspense is killing me!

                    • +1

@Shads: Yeah it is very misleading, and they take far too long to provide updates on orders. They'd be mad to ruin their reputation over this, the deal seems believable to me given prices we have seen in the past from Amazon and JB.

                    • +1

@Shads: Not only that it was also "corrected" back to $379 after it briefly went to $649.

                  • +2

@tadinhah: I'm sure we will. haha. We should organise a timed negative feedback barrage…. so it floods their latest feedbacks with Negatives.

                • @shinpathy: If that's true about the shipping notifications being automated (which i'm not sure I believe), then they've got a S T O R M coming their way, ACCC is gonna have a field day with this

                  • +1

@Hendo16: Yep absolute bullshit, will be watching this space for updates from people.

                    Really disgusted by them atm.

                  • @Hendo16: The tracking number the gave me with the shipping notification doesn't work so maybe they really haven't shipped.

                    • @Yuri Lowell: To be fair though, the last few tracking numbers I have received from things I have bought at various online stores haven't worked so that might not be representative of The Good Guys so much as Australia Post being weird

                • +1

@shinpathy: If this was a pricing error, though, then how come people were allowed to just straight up C&C it and walk out with the X? Surely they'd stop this ahead of time. God, this is such a clusterf**k

  • +3

Wow, they took down the page on the GG website (not ebay)! I thought it was "$379 as advertised"? You can't take down an "as advertised" product like that!

    • +1

"as advertised" means in their catalogue. and the xbox one x is not there.

I still hope they honor all sells.

      • It may have been a different promotion. It was mentioned earlier that the catalogue sale ends on the 31/01 but this promotion was meant to run til the 06/02

        • +1

Yes. It was until 6th Feb.

Not in the catalogue, I checked that too.

  • +3

damn. the kogan pricing error, now TGG as well…never pays off haha

  • +2

So what does everyone think will happen with the eBay orders?
Whats the likelihood of GG cancelling these orders or do they have to honour them?

    • +1

Some people probably got their Xbox and didn't come back to comment. Maybe just a part of us don't get our orders fulfilled.

      • It will be bs if their customer service flat out lied to me that their 500 units still in the warehouse.

    • +2

Well, we won't know for sure until someone gets their order officially shipped. Let's assume it was a pricing error & further assume they lose around $150 per XB1X, that's a $45k loss on eBay sales alone. TGG have to decide if 300 negs and a possible eBay store ban (who am I kidding, eBay won't ban a high value 30,000+ item annual seller) is worth the loss.

      • I'm sure we could co-ordinate a Ozbargain spam on their Facebook Page. lol. The power of Social Media.

      • $150 lost? Didn’t amazon have it for $420 last December?
