    I nabbed this offer last time it came around and I haven't yet had any problems with the hosting. Great deal, especially if you need Windows hosting for anything.

      Can I just add that if you're wanting to host a html or PHP site (Joomla, Wordpress, etc), please choose Linux/cPanel for maximum performance (of your site). If you specifically require ASP.net (or classic ASP, DNN, SilverLight, etc), then please choose Windows.

      I ordered this last time and still haven't been able to do anything with it because they use an odd port for the control panel which makes it nigh on impossible for me to even get into the control panel. So I'm paying them 75% off for two years of getting 0% usage.

        Hi FerretallicA,

        Last time was 85% off. We use the standard ports for Plesk and cPanel, so I'm not sure what the problem is there. If you email [email protected], we'll see what is going on.

        Without knowing who you are, if you are on cPanel, you can also get to the control panel through cpanel.<yourdomain> rather than using the ports (8443 for Plesk, 2082/2083 for cPanel).

    I got this deal last time. Price wise for what you get it’s good value, however I found setup was harder compared to say godaddy which I used previously. However this may be due to my beginner/intermediate experience with site management. Also I wasn’t sent one of the important emails in relation to setup, however when I contacted them they were always helpful and knew how to solve the issue. Still going to give this a positive, I just hope they refine the processes a bit more to make things easier.

    Can you guarantee that you arent selling out like DnD Hosting did to VentraIP, who subsequently are not honouring any recurring discounts once plan expires. In other words this isnt an exercise to increase customer base and then sellout less than a month later.

          For info on whats happening with DND and VIP, have a read of this:

          Buried in that thread is details on plan thats DND users purchased and what's happening with them. From what I can recall, DND users were migrated to plans that closely match what VentraIP offer and are honoring plans up until the next payment cycle. In short this means that when payment is next due any discounts that was given with DND will no longer be valid as the next payment will be based on what VentraIP charges.

    Just ordered. However, when I login into the control panel, the Statistics shows that I have 5GB disk space and 15 traffic instead of 25GB and 75 GB.

      When you sign up, if you go straight to the client area it will say that (because you've selected business hosting originally). However, once the account has been created, it should say the new limits. If it doesn't, please send us an email.

    I get very concerned about such massive discounts that promise unbelievable ongoing and infinite discounting.

    The last time I bought into such a discounting scheme the company was going bust and trying to get cash in quick.

    Not saying that's known to be the case here, just that this sort of discounting is unsustainable by the seller and should often be cautioned.

      You get what you pay for. We can do $10 VPSs but then there will be 180 VPSs per node ;)

      We supply VPSs with good performance and we keep the number of VPSs per node quite low, therefore the price is a little higher than the budget hosts.

      We can always work on the price, like 20% off if you get a VPS with cPanel for instance. Just talk to us on chat if you're interested.

      Yes, you can use the add-on domains for Plesk now (we now run Plesk 10 which allows add-on domains compared to previous versions which didn't). As for the databases, they're limited to the size of the hosting account (combined with actual content, etc).

    it has just ticked over to 4/5/2011 (it's 12:29am on the 4th), and i have attempted to use the code during checkout & was greeted with a "•The promotion code entered has expired "

    So my question is: What constitutes 'a week'?? How many days would be in 1 week?
    (7 week days, or 5 business days… obviously we're all wrong?)
