Xiaomi Mijia LED Night Light Body Motion Sensor US $7.70 (~AU $11.26) Delivered @ Joybuy

620

I have not seen this night light cheap for some time now and after I bought a few of the lights from the other deal posted earlier today, my buyer's regret caused me to find another deal, and seems like joybuy has it cheaper. Ships from China (not AU), so between 20 to 30 days estimated delivery time.

The Yeelight rechargeable one is for $13.19 USD/ $19.28 AUD (inc GST)

This is as cheap as they come lately. Great little things

  • Which one is better rechargeable or the other, any advise never owned one ?

    • I have both, the rechargeable one is smaller, has a hook on the back and has an always on function as well. Switch is on the top of the light. The AA battery one doesn't have the always on function and no hook and the switch is inside the battery cover.

      • Thanks.Which one has more bright light

        • Rechargeable one

I find the battery one to have brighter light, and since the light comes around the sides it's less direct on eyes. I also find the battery powered one turns on at a higher light level than the rechargeable one, which I find to be better.

If using Ikea Ladda (rebranded eneloop pros that cost $2, 3 of them added onto the cost is still cheaper than the rechargeable) then the battery one will also last longer between charges than the rechargeable one. I've had them both in the same room for the same length of time and have yet to need to recharge the battery powered one over the course of several months. The rechargeable one has needed charging once.

In summary, unless you're wanting to hang it up in a wardrobe or have it always on (for temporary on with either of them you can cover the light which will make it think it's dark) then the battery one is superior.

      • Thanks for the review im glad I only buy rechargeable version.

    • can't go wrong with either one. Have both, bought at same time.

Have had to recharge already but the battery one is still going strong.

  • Got 1 a while back, it was a good light, lasted forever without recharge, but used 3 Enloops!

  • Thanks, the rechargeable one is great, got another one.

  • Thanks, bought two.

  • Is there an auto sensor on either? Just checking as I don’t want to fall into the bowl…again

I have the rechargeable ones and they have sensors. One of the best buys I've ever made. They are amazing things.

    • Yes, both are is triggered by motion.

  • Dear owners, where is the sensor located? Would the sensor work if I place it upside (e.g put on the table)? Im renting hence dont want to stick it on the wall

Edit: oh I think comments above mentioned it but I still dont get it

    • Yes it will work. We have the Xiaomi Mijia on the bed headboard and it works fine.
