  • Does this work with iPhone6S (Bluetooth 4.2)?

    • +1

Yes it does. Bluetooth 5.0 is backwards compatible.

  • from the picture it looks like micro usb charger? i'm looking for wireless earphones with USB Type C charger @@

    • Yeah it's micro USB.

  • +1

Got them last time. Good value for money.

how are they compared to bose

      • +8

Dunno if you're taking the piss or not, but I laughed haha

        • I swear I hate when people ask "How is this cheap item compared to this expensive item?"

There's a reason there is such a significant difference in price..

          • +3

            @BarginGrabber: Good marketing? jk

          • +1

@BarginGrabber: I would not trust pricetags and brands so blindly.

          • +4

@BarginGrabber: I don't hate it when people ask for more information and comparisons. They are asking what potential differences there are and why is there a price difference.

Why don't you inform them instead of insulting them..

          • @BarginGrabber: haha calm down bro you sound grumpy

    • Can you comment on video lag via phone/desktop/laptop?

      • +2

I've got lag with mine - they're not aptx. I use these for music (exercise, yard work, or just enjoying tunes around the home/office) and love them for the price. But I bought VAVA Moov 28 headphones for video (this deal, or similar from xev), and even pair them with a TaoTronics aptx BT transmitter when watching non BT devices. They're rock solid with no perceptible lag.

        tldr; Buy both ;)

        • But I bought VAVA Moov 28 headphones for video

          Damn I need TWS though

          Thanks for the reply!

          • +1

@CVonC: Out of curiosity why do you need TWS over, say, any of the BT pairs that have connected buds?

My research tells me that it's a fair price hike for TWS with aptx, but much lower price point if you don't mind the buds themselves being connected by a wire (which often forms a convenient necklace when not in use via magnetic ear buds). YMMV.

Not plugging one or the other, just interested.

            • @MattyD:

I have rabbits.. and they bloody chew through everything. Lost a couple of treasured earphones already like my Sennheisers lol

              • -1

@CVonC: You keep rabbits on your shoulders?
Or do you just leave all you stuff lying around on the floor?

                • @dheywood: When I watch stuff I have them on my lap and one of them loves jumping on my desk. And at times I've forgotten to put the earphones aside and out of reach. Look they've even chewed through power cords that have cable protectors wrapped around them. There's no such thing as rabbit proof.

        • Perhaps you are not using Bluetooth 5? aptX (compression) was required mostly for bluetooth 4.1, 5 has less lag and more bandwidth, not needing compression.

      • I notice no lag with mine? I bought a pair in the last deal. Liked them fine but I am not really an audiophile. But the box is a little bulky for your pocket. Id prefer a more streamlined / rectangular box.

        • What are you using them with where you notice no lag?

          • +1

@CVonC: Motorola G5S Plus. Also please note that I believe that on a previous deal they said that there used to be a bluetooth 4.2 version of these. Mine is the 5.0 version and Im pretty happy with them except for the box as mentioned above.

        • Oh wow, actually I must say I just tested them for the first time with video on my iphone: no lag. Stoked about that :)

          • @MattyD: So what device did you get lag with?

    Spunky Buds

That's what I call my balls

    • Gold.
      Please take this upvote, friend.

  • That reminds me - Kmart are now selling their generic-brand wireless ear buds, with the same mould as the Apple AirPods. For $35, I’m almost tempted to try a pair.

    • The Kmart ones look identical to the $7 i7 TWS earphones. Quality of those is far from good.

      • These ones? They're worse than the i7s tbh.

The Laser branded ones Big W are selling for $29 are the i7s.

        • I bought two pairs as gifts, took both back to Big W, the Laser ones sound like crap.

      • current version is i13 (many people like the i11 - most popular model I think).

so 6 generations out of date.

        • didn't they skip i8/i9? not sure, but seems like they went from i7 to i10

    • I purchased the Kmart ones today and will be returning them. The quality isn't bad but they are massive and don't fit in the ear well at all.

    • Same mould, or they just look the same but are physically larger?

    Spunky :|

That was fun to explain to the team :)

  • Anyone have any comparisons on how they are compared to my current Meizu EP52s ?

  • 39 dollars with paypal.

  • Looks hedious tho

  • +1

These are trash. Bought them and stopped using them after a few uses. Don't waste your money.

  • For those who have these, what is the call quality like? I got a pair of QCY ones, great for music but impossible for the person on the other end of the call to hear you if there is the slightest background noise.

    • +1

I've got these and the other person has complained saying that it sounds like there's a fair bit of background noise on my end. Not the best for calls, but I do like how much bass is outputted for the price.

I also have an issue whereby the earbuds will randomly turn on while in its case. I imagine it's because there's not enough contact being made between the earbuds and the contacts in the case, making it think that I've taken them out :(

      • Thanks for the feedback!

  • I use these with my iPhone 7. Amazing device. No lag and crystal clear. No issue with pairing regardless of what others are saying. Gestures work well. For the price I feel I’ve received more than value for coin

  • I got these on Indiegogo branded as some other brand and they're pretty useless because they don't have a manual on/off button. They keep turning on when not in use and by the time you come to try use them they're flat every time. I've bought two other brands that also switch on randomly in the case.

From now on I won't buy another pair that turns on and off automatically when removing them from the case.

    • Sorry but how do you know that they were the same earphones if they are branded something different?

Just from another point of view Ive never had this happen. When you put them in the case and they are connected to the case they automatically turn off.

      • Simple mate…because if you do some research Tronsmart was the OEM and then Padmate rebadged them as Pamu. They all came out of the same factory. Also if you look at them you can easily tell no one else would of copied such a bulky hideous design.

        https://padmate-tech.com/products/water-resistant-never-fall…

Don't get me wrong they turn off just fine every time I put them back into the case. But they also turn back on randomly in my backpack and I'll go to answer a phone call and can't hear anything because they've switched back on and paired with my phone.

It's a shame because these are the only ones so far that have even come close to 4 hours run time on a single charge.

        • Well if what you say is true, and it probably is, you are still reviewing an older model as this is the Bluetooth 4.2 model.

Not trying to do a gotchchya here. Just pointing out that even if yours are Tronsmart they are a different model. :)

          • @SnakeCasablanca: Have a look a couple posts up…Peterleh has the Tronsmart ones and also has the same issue of them turning on while in the case.

  • Sorry, might be a dumb question but all comments seem related to iPhone. Do these ear buds work with Android devices, Xiaomi to be precise?

    • Yes. All you need is Bluetooth in your phone.

      • Thanks…will buy.

  • No multi device pairing.
Unless you deactivate first one you wont be able to connect another device.
Controls are very poor.Hit and miss.
No way to redial last call.
    Unable to control the volume.
    Not a great product.
I do not recommend this product.

    • +6

      Mate, they’re 30 bucks…

    • What would you recommend then?
