Good bluetooth sport headphones, OB price.

  • +5

I still using the one I bought 4 years ago and it's going strong. Temping to pick one up as backup.

    • …or as a gift :)

    • +1

Same but mine has been fuzzy on one side so bit disappointed. Mainly used during summers. Bought for 120 back then.

Otherwise an awesome headphone. Only other downside is making phone calls as the other side hears a lot of background noise. Not sure about the newer versions though

  • +11

This is an excellent deal, for the updated version too!. Staff price @ JB Hi-Fi was around $93 for the old version, and even then it was very much worth it. I've had mine for 3 years, and still no issues!

Tip: Pull off the rubber ear-pieces to clean the insides regularly. Gunk will tend to build up inside after a while, depending on usage. The ear-pieces snap back in with ease.

    • +6

Nice tip - never knew you could do this!

I already have a back-up pair. Considering get this as backup to the backup.

  • +4

Great headphones, especially for running through the suburbs as they don't block out a lot of sound. Mine stopped charging a while ago, should probably see if it's still under warranty.

I'd grab another pair but I've already got some Jaybird X3s and Galaxy Buds that do the job.

  • +6

Bought the old version and lasted 3 year (sweating and running in light rain) before the play button fell off exposing the chip board, but it still worked. Replaced them with this version and it works really well with decent sound and quite comfortable to wear.

The microphone is set way too high on the device and picks up voices in the distance over yours, so if your thinking of using it for phone calls as well then I would hold off, unless you are in very quiet environments.

I get the odd occasion of wireless interruption when walking through Sydney CBD, nothing major (music slows and distorts).

Battery is excellent and charge it about once a week with daily use.

Overall excellent headphones for commuting and sports

Wife and I both have these, they are fantastic.

Anyone know how these compare to 'Plantronics Backbeat Fit 2100'? Is the 2100 only a design upgrade?

    • Looks like the newer 2100s have 'Always Aware Eartips' and more customisation through the App, and of the course the aesthetic has changed :)

    • +1

I was wondering same thing. They seem like a re-design, the 2100 featuring IP57. The 2100 also seems to have an app integration.

      • +2

These FITS here are IP57 too :)

    • +4

I have both the old ones and the new 2100's and the old ones are much better in my opinion. The 2100's are stiffer and so not as comfortable on the ear, also the software has changed for the worse (I think). I also have the 3100 which are OK (the function buttons have been reversed which is annoying) but I still prefer these ones. The sound quality seems to be the same in all of them (but I'm not particularly fussy here) but overall I would recommend these then the 3100 and then the 2100 IMHO.I had an original light blue pair and used many years including 2-3 times a week in the sauna and they were great. Eventually the power on button failed and I bought a new pair of the original ones and they are still going strong. They are great headphones and a bargain at this price.

  • +3

Good deal. Had these for a few years. Great battery life, and some of the only headphones that stay on my ears.

  • +3

It's my second one and been using it for 2 years now (first one used around 3 years)
Some issues that may be aware of before buying:
    - The power button may have issue overtime when dust get filled in (hard to press the power button, or it stay pressed once press)
    - The battery capacity will drop overtime (After 2 years of use, each single charge will now only last 5 hours, while initially it last over 7 hours)
    - For some people, the back/neck wire is a bit too long and may feel discomfort

Other than these issues, I still love this headset during gym
(Note that the first generation of this headset comes with an arm band to fit your mobile phone, but now they have removed from the package)

    • A pair I bought about 3 years ago now top out at 5 hours charge. Another set bought 18 months ago still get 7 hours. Another set I bought 2 years ago and didn’t use for 6 months just died - no charge.

Even though these don’t seal, they have surprising good sound. The not sealing means I can hear around me when I am cycling or running.

  • +2

Great set of sports headphones. Have tortured mine for 18 months of gym, running, cycling and forgetting to take them off in the shower and they are still going strong. The buttons are easy to use on the go for play / pause / skip track / answer call. Audio quality is good for the type of headphone they are.

Do what they say they do. Hard to beat, especially at this price. I paid $130 and still think they were good value. Recommended.

Awesome headphones - were cheap at $135

  • +2

Have the old version. I can't use them as bluetooth gives me severe headaches.
Sound was good though and mic quality. Were pretty comfortable.

  • +2

    Got these! Great headphones!

  • +1

Thanks for the sweet as deal!
I bought 2 Power Blue ones on Amazon, one for my mum and one as a backup for me.
I bought the Black Core one about a year and a half ago for $107 and I absolutely love them!
My mum only took notice of me wearing them about two weeks ago (despite seeing me wear them multiple times in the past) and she thought they were cool and she asked me to get her one so I totally could not pass up on this deal.

  • Whats the sound quality like?

  • +2

    +I purchase for me.

Think I paid $75 a few years ago, but this is a good price.

  • +1

Nah, prefer the Taotronics BH-025s for $29. Received mine, terrific.
Due to mass production and efficiencies all this stuff is still deflating.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/448847

    • What makes you prefer the Taotronics over the backbeat fit?

      • +1

36% of the price, magnetic ends easy to shove in your pocket. Still great sound, 8hrs.

    • +1

Had the Taotraonics but lost them. Good for gym but when going for runs the cord kind of makes sounds as it bounces against your body. Just wondering if these would be any different?

      • +2

        Yes, no sounds with these.

  • +1

My experience wasn’t so great compared to the first posters.. in ear isn’t interchangeable therefore didn’t stay in the ear and sound leaked..

  • +1

I just started my hunt for wireless sports headphones. These look perfect :D Thanks

  • Any recommendations for fully wireless ones? I currently have bragi the headphones but I'm using it for work commute too. Want something thats more sweat/water resistant to bring on runs that cost less than the bragi but have the same SQ.

  • +1

    These are excellent.

  • How are these compared to the AirPod? Thinking of buying for gf

  • +1

Thanks guys, a great bargain - bought

  • OP is the grey likely to come back into stock? Only the blue left

    • Ignore comment, purchased grey via eBay. Thanks!!

  • +1

    Nice OP. Order done!

  • +1

Which phones are these compatible with? Do they work with iphone 5s?

    • +1

Any device that supports BlueTooth 3.0 and above, so yes, works with an iPhone 5S :)

  • +2

Mine came today… tried them on… soooo disappointed… they're just.. average..

Max volume sounds like 70% of a normal pair.

Can anyone recommend a hard hitting pair of earphones to blast at the gym… cant get motivated when i can still hear outside distractions

    Cheers.

    • +4

Not to be rude but that's exactly who these earphones are targeted to and is quite commonly known. They're for people that want to have a bit of ambient noise present so you can be aware of your surroundings and consequently, not destroy your ears with in-ear buds or bulky over ears. They're definitely not for everyone, I personally love mine because of these design benefits (flaws, however you see it).

You'd probably make the bulk of your money back on gumtree or marketplace. Otherwise regift them. 🤷‍♂️

  • +1

    Thanks op.
Finally got a pair via amazon and look forward to it based off comments on website and product review. And just in time for me to start working out .

  • +2

Super fast shipping - 1-2 days? I don't even know how long delivery took because they came so quick! I had 2 pairs of the originals. Wore my pair religiously and even put through the wash, lost its buttons and still works to this day. 2nd pair was for the wife but she rarely wore them and they suffered the "lack of use/charge" death. I had been meaning to make 1 good pair out of the 2 but then these turned up. Absolute bargain at this price in my opinion.

As stated. Great for outdoor use as you can still hear what's going on around you and likewise in the gym - drown out just enough of the typical gym music on repeat but not enough that you can't hear other rpeople or they try to engage in conversation with you. Another positive would be the fit, they'll never fall off, maybe out a touch but nothing a shuffle can't fix. They also don't hurt your ears as in wars tend to do (for me anyway).

    • +1

IKR! Really was super fast shipping! I placed my order on Wednesday and received it on Friday. I was so surprised, I was expecting to have it delivered sometime next week.

  • +1

Ordered on Wednesday, received in Perth on Friday! Haven't used them for anything active yet, but I like them so far :)
