If you would have taken time to read my earlier post (a few post before yours), then you would have saved heaps of time.

Moral of the story: Read, plan before jumping.

      • That would probably have meant reading through six and a half other pages of comments before getting to yours.

Just a quick tip on activating your new sim if you are porting. Please aware that online activation wont work if your driver license number got 'Letters' (mine end with an A). It will complain as invalid number and you cannot proceed.

Need to ring customer service and do the activation by phone. Whole porting process only takes less than 5 mins and my old sim turned invalid, swap sim and boost pops up. Then just turn off your wifi and go care.boost.com.au from your phone browser, and recharge there using your coles $135 voucher code.

Seems using this way it will never ever ask you to enter your CC details which you will never force auto recharge setup in your account. Looks like you just need to go care.boost.com.au to check or do anything with your account.

All up and running now for another year and bye bye Kogan!

    • Recharging using #111# with the voucher code worked fine for me (without needing to turn off WiFi).

      • Did you have to enter in credit card details?

        • Nope, not even anywhere on the care.boost.com.au menu forcing you to enter CC details.

      • Of coz if you dial thru to recharge, turning off wifi is purely for online recharging

  • I wonder if woolworths will have same deal later they normal copy coles or coles copy woolworths normal on promotions.

  • Any one knows if I can return the $30 prepaid sim (bought last week for $15) and get the $40 one (for $20 this week)? At coles…?

  • I thought I'd share my experience porting to Boost. I just changed from Telstra postpaid to this plan, and it's looking good so far. I just got 101Mbps down, 35Mbps up in the speedtest.net Android app which is great at home.

I had to order a blank Boost SIM a few days ago because I was with Telstra. Today I called to activate (another special requirement). Interestingly they had to transfer me to Telstra to convert my service to prepaid before the port was possible. The guy tried to start talking me into staying with Telstra postpaid but I already had the recharge voucher and about $11/mon is pretty hard to beat.

About 10 mins after Telstra finished Boost called me back and the cut over was so quick this call wasn't even finished before it happened!

I have just tested internet speed. It was getting 300mbps and still going up but i had to stop checking speed coz it has just ate my 300mb from 80gb already!

I can confirm that it's possible to stack vouchers. Boost applied 2 x $150 vouchers to give me the $300 plan. You just have to call them and they can do it over the phone.

    • I too can confirm this, I did this via chat which is 24x7.

  • For those on Woolworths Mobile, It took me 3 hours to port out, 1 of those hours was WM wanting to confirm we authorized the port.

  • Anyone tried port on Sunday? Will it port on Sunday?

    • Next business day per their website

      • Seem like it didn't port even on late Sat, I successfully ported on last Sat at around 7pm (take very long because of identity checking).

        Only got ported this morning.

        • Only took an hour to port across from AmaySim on Monday (public holiday)

  • Anybody have problem checking identity? Driver license never works for me, last time Medicare OK with Kogan but this time both didn't work have to use passport.

But I have used medicare last week with the $5 Kogan prepaid plan new number.

  • Hmm did the $15/$30 pack thing then will activate the $135 later. Only got the 20gig not 35gig and will get the bonus 15gig when I recharge. Problem being that the date to recharge by is 13th may so I lose out on nearly half a month. Also Boost contradicted an earlier chat and said that the bonus data will only last 28 days after recharge not the whole year. Grr.

  • My Lebara 180 day Large plan ($99, 180 days, 20GB per month) expired yesterday, 12/05/19. Today morning, ported to Boost Mobile using the Free SIM got with the Recharge Voucher. Porting completed in 15 minutes, new Boost SIM is up and running, I'm able to receive incoming calls. Yet to recharge using the $135 Voucher from Coles.

Btw, can anyone confirm if VoLTE will work on Boost Mobile on Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro? I'm getting 4G signal, but no VoLTE as of now. Will update if it starts, else, if anyone is using the same phone, please let me know.

    Cheers.

  • Does Call Waiting option work on your Boostmobile? Mine is off by default and when I tried to turn on, it says sim error.

The Customer support says Call Waiting not available to prepaid customers. Is this true?

    • Does Call Waiting option work on your Boostmobile?

      I think so.

I can go to Settings, Call, Additional Settings and I can see Call waiting on/off there. I have SIM error before but it is working now.

      • Thanks. I did try the option but didn't work for me. I even restarted the phone but no luck. I will try again and check.

        • I couldn't get into additional settings before but working today.

May be I chat with them today to ask them to reset my VoLTE settings at their end but my VoLTE still didn't work.

          • @superforever: I will update you how I go when I check in the evening tonight.

          • @superforever: I did try again and the same sim error for call waiting.

Just wondering how did you go with your VOLTE, did you manage to get it switched on. I check my Mi Pococ F1 phone and it is showing me LTE only, no VOLTE. I checked the network setting for the mobile and it doesn't show there.

            • @jubz: No luck for VOLTE and WiFi calling, doesn't really matter for me.

Regarding your call waiting, try chat with Boost and see what they can do.

              • @superforever: I did contact Boost chat. They say Xaiomi Poco F1 phone is not on Telstra approved list.

The weird thing is the Boost sim call waiting works on my old Samsung S6 edge handset. Also, when I inserted Vodafone SIM on Poco F1 the call waiting for Vodafone sim works. But again when inserting Boost sim on Poco F1, it says Network or Sim error.

                • @jubz: Just found that when I tried to turn off call waiting from settings I got unexpected response from network.

                  • @superforever: This means there is some network/config issue with the Boost mobile. I was even playing with the hiding my caller ID in Poco F1, and it showed an unexpected response error from the network.

                    • @jubz: Did you try send the code instead?

I tried this and received response call waiting disabled, even in settings Call Waiting option still on.

                      https://community.boost.com.au/t5/Setup-Phone-Support/How-do…

                      • @superforever: Yes, I tried the code option *43# long time back but no luck, same network error. I have now started to live without the call waiting option, just activated the voicemail. In case someone calls and can't connect, hopefully, they will leave a voicemail.

  • Just ported to boost from Woolworths mobile, took 2 hours. Also had 2 vouchers combine to make $300 for the 240g.dont bother with live chat they useless,Call up and ask took 5min.
