Thanks got one. No idea why

    • Good for cleaning the dust out of computers.

And for gently shooing ants away from your iced tea.

      • +3

That's not what this is for

      • Do these get moisture in them compared to the big compressors? It seems like a good investment compared to canned air

        • These don't replace canned air.

Good for cleaning the dust out of computers.

Especially if you want to damage all the chips with static.

Static damage also typically makes PC less reliable rather than completely fail before the thousand, "I used compressed air and my computer is fine" comments chime in.

        • Really?
          I had no idea.
I never purposely went over the components, more doing the fans and behind the drive bay area.
On the the CPU heatsink and cooler I'd aim the nozzle from the bottom and blow it up and out, the gpu, nozzle in the fan part and make it go out the exhaust.

    • you are a true Ozbargainer, that's why

Could I get it off you if you don't need it?

      • Haven't picked it up yet. Depending on size, plan to use it for the quad bike tyres.

Yep, GUDAC30 & GUDAC30S2 so the one in OP is series 2, which adds battery voltage and alternator test function.

Not bad but sadly no stock at my local store.

There are similar units on eBay for $35 delivered (AU stock) anyway so that might be more convenient if your local store doesn't have any

can you write the name of a comparable quality one on ebay since the links are getting blocked?

Anyone near Cowra should grab this https://www.repco.com.au/en/brands/repco/repco-air-compresso…

At <$35 it's a bargain. Be warned that it is big, perfect for real 4x4 tyres though.

Edit - looks like it's sold now.

Can vouch for this one. I have exact same look but different brand one. Been with me for 4 years now and never missed a beat.

    • Looks like the clearance discount finished 10 minutes early 😑

      • +3

Yep. Had the item in cart and it increased at checkout.

  • Coming up as $29 in my local store.

    • Deal has expired and reverted to $29

  • Would they have them in stores ?

    • Unlikely. The stock levels shown on the website are supposedly pretty accurate.
Besides, the 30% off clearance items ended last night.

Just got my ready for pick up email! Thanks again OP!

  • Would it be worth using one of these for a 4wd tyre or not worth the effort because it would take too long? Looking for a compact air compressor

    • Way too slow. Trying to air up all 4 tyres with this would be painful.

    • Get a proper air compressor with 150L/min flow rate.

    • I have used these small ones on my 4wd tyres, they are slow however work and are better than a flat tyre.

  • Dang. Missed out. Some stores that have stock for those who are close by.

    • Deal has expired and reverted to $29

      • it sure has ,i can see by the big red square with the words expired ….
going by the title "12v $20.30 (Was $129) " i expected it to revert to $129 but seeing it is $29 and still clearance thought that might be considered still a deal in some way

        • Just the extra 30% off had expired…

  • +1

I'd say they're on sale because you can get similar units that also have car battery jumpstarts, USB charging etc for similar (full) price.

    • +2

      Examples?

  • Started looking to buy a tyre inflator after missing out on this one but most ones sold on Amazon does not seem to review well? Anyone can recommend one that is reliable long term as I don't have space for a spare tyre in my car?

    • Do let us know if u land on a good alternative

      • +2

https://www.bcf.com.au/p/slime-safety-spair-tyre-inflator---… this one is on clearance and comes with the sealant, so I might pick one up over the weekend and give it a go.

        • +2

          a much better buy IMO.

Think about it, the only reason you need to pump your tyres up in an emergency is if they are flat. THey usually only go flat if there is a puncture or significant leak.
without sealant, you wont be able to inflate anything.

The portable air compressors are noisy and slow for general maintenance purposes. It's honestly easier going to your local servo if you need to get pressures up a little.

I have an inflator very similar to the slime one you linked to - came with my car. It can deploy sealant or air.

          • @edrift: Thanks, made me feel better about my purchase!

I have run flats at the moment and planning to replace with regular tyres at some point. This should come in handy as there's simply no space for a spare. Just hope that the kit works when the need comes.

          • @edrift: Would this have multi purpose use e.g. inflating a bicycle tyre, or trolley wheels, or balls, or balloons etc?

            • @dealmaker: Tyres of all sorts, probably.
              Balls, also probably.

              Balloons, I doubt it.

I don't have this exact unit but one similar. It came with the different attachments to inflate things other than tyres.
It can also do inflatable objects such as air mattresses.

Personally I'd only use it for tyres and only use it for emergencies. This thing is slow and very noisy.
