    • The or part- I don’t think they can control that.

    • They could have set this up fairly easily if they wanted to. E.G. Give people a choice of a Netflix/Stan/Amazon $14 Egiftcard.

Part of it must be to promote the new Visa Ecards though.

      • Yep, I don't think it's a direct partnership with Netflix/Stan/Amazon etc, it would probably be between Visa and B&J.

    • a very unique and creative comment on this thread. Well done sir

  • +7

both my ones ( me and wife ) need to be validated ..
need to send invoice again.. first email since i completed it on the first day ..

We are in the process of validating your Claim 4xxxxxx9 but need some additional information.

Please click the link below and provide the requested information, within five business days of the date of this email and we will advise.

    • +6

I have the same email - but I definitely sent in a clear receipt with all the information. Looks like a delaying tactic to me…

  • +10

Got the new email but it keeps saying ‘Please upload the receipt’ even though I have 🙄. Anyone else?

    • +1

      same

    • +1

Yeah same. And because I used an old phone number, I can't get the SMS code… needed to go to "contact us" to send the same receipt again. Such an annoyance for an already-delayed campaign. Fairly poor form IMHO.

    • +4

I did one entry each for wife and myself, both saying need further details…yet receipt, despite a little crumpling, shows the store suburb AND the date of transaction is there (at least in the CC payment section on the receipt..maybe I should have used a 360 degree camera to capture the whole length of the receipt…)
Point is, terms met and denial of offer. Not happy at all.

      • +3

I reckon they’re doing it to validate the phone numbers people used to make sure that they’re real

      • +3

Got this BS too. I took picture of the whole receipt, why cant they zoom in and see!? PITA this promotion.. more hassle than it was worth. Great way to turn customers off purchasing B&J in the future.

    • +1

      Same

    • +1

      same

      • +1

Same and I don't have the receipt anymore and I think I didn't save a copy of the photo! This is pretty bull.

    • +1

      Same

    • +1

      Same here

    • +2

Seems there is a coding bug in their validation, it is checking whether the uploaded filename is blank and then not letting you through. Tsk tsk tsk.

    • +3

I scanned my receipt as a whole and still received the same error in the mail. I smell something fishy.

    • +1

      Same

      • +1

Came back here to see if everyone was having the same problem, which they are!

  • +10

What a waste of time! I go through all the extra effort just so the website bugs out on me and says "Please upload receipt" when I have already uploaded it!
    Screenshot here.
Tried Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome, both show the same rubbish.
    What do I do now?!?

    • Same problem for me

    • Same here - upload again and still saying upload receipt. Unable to live forward

      • Oops move forward 🙂

    • Same problem here

    • I am getting the same error, and I have sent a follow up enquiry through the contact us form - they are going to get smashed with these requests…. Its very clear on the receipt as well…

Anyone else think there may have been too many claims???

    • I could be wrong, but I thought there was a file size limit on the image size (perhap 2MB), is it over that?

  • still nothing for me! :(

  • +6
  • +1

same error of "please upload your receipt" so sent them the receipt via the contact us section

  • +1

Yup, keep getting upload receipt! Most likely got conned into buy BJ tub…:@

  • +1

Interestingly, my wife has the email for the valid one and also need revalidation

    • +1

I can confirm this too. Also received both emails.

  • +1

    Same complete bs

  • +1

This BS waste of time, they ask me to upload receipt even though I already have

  • +3

Same…Not buying their ice-cream in the future after all this (not even when it's on half price!!!)

  • +1

Won't let this go down without a fight..

  • +9

Ben Jerry now on the "never buy" list

  • +9

Honestly i hate these deals (not OP's fault). It should be set and forget and instead it is the biggest pain in the arse chasing it up and is always past the terms and conditions the promoter setout themselves. Instead of creating good will just hearing Ben & Jerry's name makes me pissed off with this circle jerk to the point i'd never really consider buying their product ever again, always such a shit show with these type of promotions!

  • +3

I too got the automatic email, linking to the website that doesn't work. I quite confident that the promoter has stuffed up.

    I've also submitted feedback too.

  • +3

Worst company ever. Got the same BS email asking for more details.

  • +6

Just Facebook messaged them to let them know of my disappointment.
Feel free to do the same using my message or a variation.

Hi. I bought your ice cream from Woolworths to take advantage of the visa cashback promotion. Your company was extremely slow to respond to my application submission and then requested further details despite me already having submitted everything requested initially. I am extremely disappointed and will not be purchasing your products again. There is also a large number of similarly disgruntled customers discussing your poor customer service with regards to this promotion on the Ozbargain website.

  • +1

    These guys are time wasters

  • +3

Nice try sending everyone the same generic message saying our valid claims need "validation" - if it's to buy time after already going against the promo's own T&Cs, expect to receive and reply to tons of complaints to B&Js, (maybe through Woolies?) and wherever else. What a waste of time.

  • +1

Not only do I still have the receipt, a copy of the in-store flyer (it was a tear-off), AND the phone number I used (because it was a legit claim), but I also still have the unopened container of Ben & Jerry's ice cream. If this isn't fixed soon, I'm going to march back to Woolworths for a refund.

    • You should also phone the number on the back of the ice cream tub and let them know your grievances.

    • +2

I admire your willpower, my container didn't last more than a couple of hours.

  • +1

Asked me to verify my mobile number, 15 mins get an email asking the same thing after verifying lol

  • +6

I wonder if this is a further delay tactic. Process a batch, then claim "not enough information" to extend the payment of the next group of claimants another 5 days. Then they can justify it as "it's not our fault you supplied incomplete information".

  • +3

LOL what utter bs "we cant read your reciept"

They are probably harvesting phone numbers and then will sell them to pay for this promotion afterwards

    • +1

Phew I thought it was just me, every time you try to submit the extra details it says to attach image when it's already uploaded, dodgy af.

    • probably.. (from their T&C)

The Promoter and Edge may disclose your personal information to its related companies, agents and contractors to assist in conducting this competition, communicating with you/your companions or storing data or to hold and use for fraud prevention purposes. This may include disclosures to organisations outside Australia, including in places such as Singapore, the United Kingdom and countries within the European Union.

  • +5

I got the email from them today after several weeks of waiting.

It kept saying "Please upload the receipt.", despite me having uploaded various formats such as pdf, jpg, png.

It looks like a bug in their site.

I used various browsers in incognito mode.
I even uninstalled all browser plugins.
None of the browsers worked. I used :
    - chrome
    - firefox
    - brave
    - opera
    - safari

  • +7

Same. I was asked to supply further information despite the receipt already clearly showing the requested details. Further, I got the "Please upload receipt" error when I have already uploaded it in their new submission form! I sent an enquiry thru their contacts page as suggested by several ozbargainers above.

Now how do I revoke my positive vote for this deal?

    • +1

Scroll right up to the vote tab and then revoke your vote.

      • +1

        Done. Thank you Dollarino

    • +1

what good is it to revoke the positive vote?
      the deal is over already

      • We do it out of anger, not for meaning

    • +2

This is what I get for paying full price for Ben and Jerry's. Serves me right.

      • +1

I think normal price is even higher than $9..more like 12?
But I get you….total PITA..and in reality icecream wasn't bad but have had better at half the price and twice the quantity. Wouldn't have tried it without the so-called 'offer'

  • +3

Same frustrated keeps on asking me upload receipt which i have already:(

  • +1

Same here. Lol… I can't remember what phone number I put in.

  • +1

Out of curiosity has anyone actually received their $14 Virtual Visa Card? Just so we know we're all on the same boat.

    • +3

      no one

    • I have

  • +4

This promo is so f@*ed up!

  • +1

anyone to report them to ACCC? :)

    • +1

as sad as it sounds but it'll be of no avail as in the T&Cs they said that

You must keep original itemised purchase receipt as proof of purchase for your entry.
If you don't produce the above proof of purchase for your entry when asked, the Promoter may disqualify your entry and you will not receive the Gift.
Proof of purchase must be identical to that provided by you with your entry.
If, in the Promoter's opinion, you have shared any proof of purchase with another person, your entry and the other person’s entry will be invalid and neither of you will receive a Gift.

      • +1

The problem is how do we resubmit as it keeps asking for it?

      • +2

what about misleading customers? they clearly stated 10 business days in their T&C, now its been nearly 3 weeks for some people and they have yet to receive anything

        • they backed themselves up with:

Without limiting the previous paragraph, the Promoter and the agencies and companies associated with this competition are not liable for any loss of or delay in delivery of gift/s.

    • +1

The first step is to write a complaint letter. If they don't respond, then contact the ACCC, next step is the small claims court…

      https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/complaints-problems/make-a…

      • +2

maybe the very small claims court for $14

  • +2

Of course I deleted the bloody photo of the receipt and cant find it now.

bugga. I didnt even like the ice cream..

    • +4

looks to me like they deleted all the receipts too… so they are asking everyone to upload them again
