So basically not eligible if you got a Google Home Mini for free.

    That is discrimination !!!

I like their product, but unfortunately Spotify are too politically active e.g. banning Aus Day playlist as its offensive, so I took my business elsewhere. Amazon Music is a decent alternative.

Agreed. I've Shortened my list of music providers…

      Incorrect.

From Spotify's official press release on the issue:

“We have investigated reports of a playlist being removed from our service and have concluded that these reports are incorrect. The playlist in question has always been available for listening — however, what was in fact removed was the title and/or image for the playlist created by the user. This action was an automated response addressing user complaints about the playlist.”

      • what was in fact removed was the title

Did they change the title of the playlist away from containing 'Australia Day'? O.o

        • +1

          OK, let me highlight:

"This action was an automated response addressing user complaints about the playlist."
If the complaint was about the title, that's why the title would've been addressed.

The original email issued to Bernardi read:

"We’ve received notice that your uploaded content has been reported as including inappropriate or offensive content and violates our profile and playlist image guidelines. We’ve removed it from Spotify. If you believe you received this notice in error, please respond back to this email with an appeal with five business days and we will look into the case."

Spotify did look into it & the name is still "Australian Conservatives Aussie Day 100". You can still find it.

Storm in a teacup IMO, trying to get publicity. Reports, corrections, false-flags etc. happen all the time to people with photos & content on FB, copyright claims on Youtube, etc. Doesn't mean it's right, but it's the most efficient way to address the millions of complaints about content every day.

    • Amazon Music is a decent alternative

      :/

no thanks, this company is ran by beta males who cant stand a bit of swearing or shit posting.

    • What a strange thing to say, don’t think alpha’s would tolerate “..swearing or shit positing..”

  • Not working for me, says not eligible but dates do line up :(

  • Worked for me

  • If I cancel right away does it still last 3 months or would my subscription end soon as I cancel?

    • Nope. It will last for 3 months even after immediate cancellation.
