You can put the code in now but it won't work.

      • phew okay, I thought I was excluded again

      • I have just tried says, promotion cannot be applied, because it has not started yet.

  • I've never used uber eats, is it any good? How much is the delivery fee usually (melb)?

    • Same as driving to the store an picking it up essentially. $7 is the delivery fee for me.

      • Have they changed their model? It used to be a flat 5.

        • $5 for me, depends on where you live.
I know someone in the same apartment building who pays $5.90 instead of $5, no idea why (she doesn't know mine is $5).
I assume because she calls up and complains about her food a lot to get refunds.

I've never used uber eats, is it any good?

It is if you like paying more for the same food. Uber takes a large commission (about 30%) so most returns charge you more.
It's cheaper to get delivery directly from the restaurant if they offer it.

How much is the delivery fee usually (melb)?

That depends on how far between you and the store.

    • +1

Delivery fee depends on what area you're in. In the city, it's $5. In Berwick, it's $7. Brighton, $5.

    • +7

That's not how Uber Eats works

        • +2

Uber eats is a delivery service. That should give you your answer.

        • +3

I have no idea how uber works

          I know

          if I CAN

No that's not how Uber Eats works.

      • -3

Isn't the app has Pick-up option? It can choose between pickup and delivery.

        • You're thinking of menulog and the like. Uber eats is delivery only.

        • Yeah, it does

      • You can actually pick up now.. so yes.. it is how it works. (Not sure if maccas do ubereats pickup though

    • just deliver to a local place outside of the store

    • +1

Uber Eats orders get pushed down the queue so it's not as easy as going in and picking it up.. You gotta wait forever.

    • You can order pickup through Uber Eats, not sure if Macca's participate in this though

  • Can you spend $14 dollars on food and the rest for delivery? Will the code cover delivery?

    • Delivery Applies

      I read it for you!

      • Can you speak it for me?

        • +3

No, but I can eat it for you!

    • +1

The last promotion maccas had like this, I spent like $18 worth of food and delivery was $5 not $7 from memory, so I does come off the total amount. But this time could be fixed.

  • +1

Yikes, avoid going to drive-thrus or stores tonight - service will be slow.

    • +3

There's 1000 McDonald's in Australia and every day they serve 1.7 million people.

I don't think an extra 50,000 will make a difference over 8 hours

      • +1

at night time there's like 3 people working it will definitely make a difference.

      • True, but consider that most of those 1000 stores will be closed. Only a minority of stores are 24 hours. Also, it definitely won't be across 8 hours, they'll reach 50k after a few hours.

      • Each day, 1 in 14 Australians eat at McDonald's? There must be a lot of regulars because everyone I know brings that average way up.

  • Nice

  • -7

Tried putting in the code just now but it says "Promotion cannot be applied because it has not started." Is that because I'm too late or are we only able to put it in after midnight?

    • +1

      RTFP. P is for "post".

    • "Promotion cannot be applied because it has not started."

Is that because I'm too late or are we only able to put it in after midnight

      You answered your own question

  • +7

as an uber eats driver, tonight is gonna be a good night!!!

  • Since maccas uber eats isn’t available at the new place I stay, in going to drive pass my old place and park up while order Uber eats 💀

  • get uber qualifications, order from outside the store and resell at normal prices…

  • Can you get two large meals delivered? How much extra do you pay on too? Never used ubereats before

    • Can you get two large meals delivered?

      Yes

How much extra do you pay on too?

      The extra over $20

  • Any salads worth delivering?

  • -1

Going to wonder if they’ll be any of those 50,000 places left once the east coast has had their go for the people in Perth…

    • +3

It opens to everyone at the same time. It's better for Perth because it won't be as late at night.

      • -3

If it’s open to the whole country at that time, then sure. If it’s only from 12-6 in local times then who knows.

        Wouldn’t put it past Uber.

        • +5

          who knows.

          Anyone who reads the deal.

Uber Eats has partnered with McDonald's® to offer FREE McDonald’s between 12AM and 8AM AEST

    • It's 10pm - 4am Perth time.

  • +2

Finally a good reason to use Ubereats 🙂

  • +1

    FOOD FOR CHAMPIONS…

  • -5

Uber eats not available in regional areas - typical hipster city crap.

    • +3

You don't need Uber taking money out of your local economy…

    • Maybe also because of a lack of drivers. Uber/eats largely works because of ready supply of the certain demographic of its employee base in the cities.

      • +1

        Uber drivers are not employees

  • +3

Uber Eats is going to crash at 12am

  • I can't get Maccas at my address, but I can when I enter an address 200m further down the road.

They must have a small delivery radius

    • Just realised I'm in the exact same boat.
Reckon we could order then instruct the driver to come to the actual address?

    • Wow where do you live… I live in the outer burbs and there's like 3 maccas who are within my radius.

      • I live 2.4km or 4min drive from my local McDonalds (Tugun QLD) but apparently that's too far.

        • That's not even that far, maybe it depends on the store.. Furthest maccas that delivers to me is 3.5km.

          • @umoddbro: I'm 1.8km from my nearest and it won't come up at my address, but it does come up if I walk 200m down the street..

  • +3

In other news, hospitals all around the country reported a spike in heart attack patients after midnight this morning.

One particular male known only as Juiciness succumbed to his affliction. His final words were "Tell MrBargainFace I'll see him in hell".

He leaves behind an incomplete collection of Pogs.

  • +5

    What’s the best bang-for-buck $20 McDonald’s order?

    • I’m thinking three Mcflurries for the freezer and some barbecue aioli chips for now.

  • I just signed up for the $10 Cashrewards promo, so if I order $20+ using this code will that satisfy the Cashrewards $20 spend to get the $10 signup bonus?

    • +2

Usually CR and SB don't work if you use codes not listed on the respective referral sites.

      • Ok thanks for that, not yet on top of how it all works

  • +2

Can I order between midmight and 8am for delivery later in that day? Say for dinner?

  • get thee behind me foul fiend

  • Maccas has always been on Ubereats at home. Just checked and it’s not there today :/

    • It's been mcbanned from tomorrows deal.

  • What you think is the best value to order $20 worth? I'm thinking the 2 small big mac meals?

    • that's 2 small.

    • +1

48 nuggets (2x 24 pack @ 9.95ea)… then visit heartfoundation.org.au and donate the $20 you just spent to them, you'll be needing their services soon enough.

      • Think the nugget deal is available from 10:30 am to midnight.

      • +1

You can't get 24 nuggets from ubereats. Only 10 and 20 which are the full price ones

  • +1

Dollar menu doesn't exist after midnight :( Would have ordered so many mcbites

    • Are cold mcbites even tasty?

      • +1

        When they're $2 for 10 not $3.95 for 10 then yes :) haha

    • +1

Loose change menu doesn't exist on Uber Eats anyways :)

  • Can you still specify a delivery date and time and get the offer? It would be good if i could get it delivered for lunch on Monday.

  • hmmm… so expect this to be ozbargained by 12.03 ?

    • +7

      50,000 codes, so no.

I do expect 1 OZB user to use his 5 uber accounts for a $100 maccas fries bath.

  • Keep in mind guys that this will probably only be available in Maccas stores which open their "restaurant" section 24/7.

  • Cheers.
getting $20 worth of Maccas for $3.95 (delivery) is a bargain! :)

  • If I click on regular menu drop down there's only a breakfast 0830-1030 or regular 1030-1200am

Guessing that means mine won't have this offer available. Can someone else with a 24hr store nearby (my local also is) confirm if they have a third menu between midnight and 0830am?

    • +1

      My local has two menus:
      Breakfast 0400-1030
      Regular 1030-0359

      • That's a good indicator to use then to see if your store will be available at that time

    • I also have my local store (which is 24 hours) showing up with those times on Ubereats. Makes myself wonder why they wouldn't enable all day ordering with Ubereats considering they're open irrespective of the time.

  • My local Maccas shows up on the app but it’s ‘Currently unavailable’. Anyone else?

  • +2

Night shift workers everywhere (including nurses, paramedics and doctors) salute you.
    Amazing!
