I can't seem to get this price on the air filter.

  • +4

have one, working good, wifi connection works, device wise = amazing BUT i think sydney air is good so we dont really need purifier, of course unless you have terrible environment out of ordinary.

  • +4

Unless you live next to a construction site. I don't see any reason why you need air purifier in Australia.

    • +5

What if occupants have sensitivity to certain triggers in air which set off their eczema, asthma or allergic rhinitis? eg dust mite, mould or animal dander.

    • +2

Because it's a good price, and this is OzBargain

Works good for getting rid of smell or burning food smoke while cooking

      • +2

+1 bought one of these 9 months ago mainly due to allergies which helped heaps, however biggest benefit we noticed is how quickly it gets rid of smoke from cooking etc.

In Sydney absolutely everyone needs to have one if you're house/unit is next to a road with frequent traffic, 20+ cars per hour passing by. I have my windows open everyday for few hours to air it out and breathe fresh air and have to dust clean every few days.

      • a waste of time. Did some research. Such devices may make sense in the Arab and northern India region.

      • I live next to such a road and have this. The reading is always very low between 005 to 010 even with windows open. I even tried putting it out on my balcony and could not detect any air that needs purifying. Running through the day does nothing to lower the reading. The only time I get a reading above 20 is when I am cooking but once I stop cooking, the reading drops instantly.

If only someone told me this before.

        • The air quality sensor on these units has been shown to be ineffective. It under reports. Sydney Richmond had a pm2.5 reading of 400 this month. Today it is 25 in the eastern suburbs (very good but mostly due to rain) and 54 in Singleton. You may be lucky to have no VOCs and a low PM2.5 count but that's not the situation for everyone (mould, construction and exhaust fumes, smoke from back burning, cigarettes, paint fumes, factories).

      You forget hazard "reduction" burns

    • +2

      Pets, dust, pollen.

  • -3

You need it to clear bacteria when someone is sick at home. Also good to force the air to circulate, reduce dampness, and eliminate odour

    • +5

You need it to clear bacteria when someone is sick at home

These won't do much to stop airborne Bactria that's sitting on things.

Also good to force the air to circulate, reduce dampness

If you want to circulate air use a bigger fan.

These are not a dehumidifier so they will not reduce dampness.

      • You are right.

Those I mentioned are not the main purpose therefore plenty of other replacement.

I am helping others to see the "byproduct" functions. I have 2 at home. This season, we all get less allergic, less contagious, no build up of dampness.

        • You got xiaomis?

          • @[Deactivated]: Lol I got xiaomiss or Miss Xiao. :)

            • @hayashiyoshi: Lol. Can you tell me about the filters? Can't seem to find original ones. Do you clean your filters? How pong can they last?

              • @[Deactivated]: I replaced the filter once purchasing through Kogan. After that I just vacuum the filter once a week. Plenty of dust to my surprise. My second one still has a good filter. I also vacuum the dust out. Pretty sure needs to replace maybe once a year (miss xiao suggests once every 3-4 months from memory)

    • most bacteria spread from sneezing near someone then they catch it
or the person hand touch the bacteria and spread it to their mouth or nose

If someone sick it is better not to be near them too much
      or wear face mask
      And wash your hands.

  • I couldn't find anywhere written on ebay that the vacuum come's with an Au plug - can see it in the post though (thanks doweyy)

Also can someone please confirm if it is good for vacuuming carpets as well as hardwood floors?
I hesitated to spend $800 for Dyson V11 Absolute during PLUSWEEKEND Sale because it's too much for a vacuum.
Was also looking at other companies on ebay like PUPPYOO or Devanti.
    Would appreciate the input.

Hey ar7ist, the vacuum definitely comes with an AU Plug, it's mentioned just under the product title on the listing :)

      Au Plug.Powerful Suction,Easy to Clean,1 year Warranty.

I've heard some great things about it, and have linked a few user reviews, I'll let some others chime in though :)

      • Thanks for the reply doweyy. Just saw the Au plug ^_^

Read the reviews, watched the video. I believe @Gearbite rep mentioned carpet head to be available in May. Do we know if it is yet?

        • Carpet head will available on July.

          • @Gearbite: Would it be possible to know the expected price for it? And will it be available with Vacuum bundle as well?

            • @ar7ist: Will sell seperately first. We will keep as low as we can, as they only made for us in the first batch.

I own the Dreame V9 — bought it about 2months ago when it wasn't on sale…but still a saving compared to the V11! Bought from a leap of faith based on reviews

I've used one rotating brush heads on my mattress and in the car, so I would presume that it will work great when the carpet head is released! It got a lot of dust…

More than happy with it as it is much better than my relative's dyson. Build quality is great, which surprised me as I was expecting something flimsy. It's sturdy with no rattling of parts.

      • Thanks for the feedback. Do you reckon the soft cloth roller would be mediocre on the carpet until the carpet head is released?

        • +1

I think it would work pretty well on carpet. It should cause enough agitation on on low-pile carpet to get dust out. You can swap the soft roller head and use the rotating brush head if there's stubborn dirt as a temporary measure until the carpet head comes out.

        • I use the soft roller on carpet and it picks up a little bit of dust and dirt but it doesn't fluff up the carpet and make vacuum lines like other vacuums. Can't wait for the carpet head to come out :)

  • @Gearbite: is the battery on the Dreame v9 able to be replaced? How much does a new battery cost?

    • +1

Very easy to replace. We hae spare batteries for warranty service. Will be free if under 12 Months warranty.

      • and out of warranty? as thats when they die…..

        • +1

We also can supply spare battery at good price.

          • +1

@Gearbite: and what is that price?

          • @Gearbite:

We also can supply spare battery at good price.

            and that price would be…..

Have the vacuum from previous deal can’t recommend it enough. The suction is powerful and makes cleaning on all surface very easy. The only complaint I’d have is non of the extension work great on carpet. Apparently there’s a specific accessory u’d need for carpet that isn’t available in AU yet

    • +2

We working hard for the carpet head, it should ready in July. Sample looks great.

  • Anyone know if these will work for pet allergies? It says filters down to 2.5 micron so it should help a little right?

    • If you get the anti-formaldehyde filter it is meant to be a HEPA filter so theoretically it should help?

  • The code is not working for me on the air purifier

    • its for 'EbayPlus'..did you chk that.

      • Yes, and I'm a member. Although still in trial.

  • Thanks OP got a second one- it's great for the hayfever inflicted. only gripe is that the filters are a bit expensive.

    • how much the filter cost?
can't you just use a vacuum on the filter after a while when it gets dirty?

Or will the app keep bugging you to change the filter?

      • curious to know this too. never knew there were regular filters to be changed, makes me second think about buying this…

  • What filter does the Air Purifier come with?

  • Thanks OP. got one. was waiting for this since kogan deal.

Xiaomi Mi Smart Air Purifier 2S OLED Display

    Is there a real benefit?

Always thought about buying one. Is this a good price?

  • My puppy is still being toilet trained and I refuse to leave the backdoor open while I'm not home. Will this help improve the odour inside my house?

  • Pulled the trigger on the Dreame V9

  • Is Anyone having problem connecting the air purifier to mainland China server? No problem with Singapore server but almost all my devices are connected to mainland China server.

    • What do you mean?

In the app mine all say Region: Australia

      • I have all my devices set to china but I am a bit concerned. Can you reconnect these devices to Singapore?
