Yo Mr Askhole, did you have to post a new post though?

  • +3

Maybe i should finally upgrade from my s7 ๐Ÿค”

    • do it!

    • Must resist… I am trying hard to resist…

      • Iโ€™ll pull the trigger if it gets below $700.

        • +1

          Minus cash back.

        • This deal is already below $700 with cashback ๐Ÿ˜‰

        • OW may give 5% price beat if they have any

          • @Being Askhole: OW technically now beats this one by $1 now so must use CashRewards / ShopBack to make it worthwhile.

    • I'm on a s5 and was considering buying off my friend's s7 and doing a DIY battery replacement haha

  • So would officeworks price beat this?

    • +1

Yes if you can reach on time and this remains in stock

      • Exactly the same here, she said the price has changed but she will complete the pricebeat for me as we were nearly done. Just made it. So stoked.

    • Call 1300 Office and do a click and collect price beat.

    • called officeworks and they did the price beat. But on their systems, it was showing it as $728. They honored the price beat because it hasn't been updated on their website yet.

      • I just had the same experience! Bought mine for $692 from OW with the 5% price beat against Amazon. Pick it up tomorrow in the white version.

        • +1

How'd you get a different colour? I thought they only price matched the identical product

          • @OzBargain F5er: Isn't shopback cash back 4.5% anyways? Not having to drive to office works = cheaper?

Uh dunno how to get rid of that @ thing. That wasn't directed at you F5er

            • +1

@[Deactivated]: In my case, I just so happen to be going past the store today anyway. But buying from a local reputable bricks and mortar store is nicer for warranty, etc.

Also it's an instant saving rather than having to wait for cashback approval and potentially chasing it up, which I've had to do in the past multiple times.

          • @OzBargain F5er: OW checked all three colours of the S10e (white, black and green) on Amazon since they were all listed at the $729 price. They asked which colour I wanted, I went with white and then they confirmed the price match against their stock. I could have chosen any of the colours as long as OW stocked it and the manufacture's number matched.

Is this the cheapest ever for this phone?

Was looking at mate 20 and others for 500 to 600 but this seems a no brainer at this price.

whats this cashback everyone talking about?
do i need a membership for prime? dammit now i dont want it

    • Cashrewards and Shopback

  • If I hadn't recently just purchased a V40 for $679 - TRS (Will work out under $600).

$729 - TRS - would be ABOUT $650. wow! If only. Can't do 4 phones in one year!

  • +1

Lol Price has now been updated on Officeworks website - OOoooo, they must hate that
Can you imagine the scramble to get the price updated by the IT Team

    • damn really tempted to go to the OW down the road and grab one.

      I don't need a new phone, I don't need a new phone, I don't need a new phone, I don't need a new phone, I don't need a new phone,

      • Why get off your couch? You can now have it delivered for free

        • but then I won't get instant gratification :)

Is cashrewards 12% on this phone?

    • 4.5% on electronics

    • +1

3.5% I believe ( looking at the drop down from Cash rewards )

      • Thanks.

Liking the smaller form factor but probably do not need an upgrade. Must resist. Great price.

      • Thanks.. so Shopback is better. I don't believe I will win one of 10 cash prizes fro Cash Rewards (I never win anything).

  • I'd jump on this,if I didn't already pay $850 for it

  • Argh I paid $20 more. Should I cancel the order and reorder or ask customer care to return the difference?

    • CSR will most likely cancel and ask you to re-order. It's easier. Reminder: ask them to cancel the order only (don't let them re-order for you). Then, completely re-order with Shopback rewards.

      • Thanks for your advice. Thatโ€™s exactly what happened. They didnโ€™t offer to help me reorder fortunately. I reordered, not sure how I will feel if they drop the price again.

        • Prices may drop again when Apple release or announce their iPhone11 especially if there is a competing model. That is what always happens with tech - if we keep waiting for something better we will never buy anything. :)

  • I was waiting until late to pull the trigger, but I don't think Amazon will beat OW's price in the next couple of hours.

This was a fun day, I literally refreshed Ozbargain every 15 minutes at work to see if there is any update on this. Now, I have to make a short overseas trip to being able claim the TRF. Game on!

  • And now it's even cheaper at $728

    • Lol.. Cheaper after Prime deal ended :D
      OW effect

  • It's not expired.

Price shows as $729 for me, and I don't have Amazon Prime.
