      Agreed. What's the bargain?

      • +1

        It's 20% off. Clearly a bargain

    • +1

a $1000 dollar saving. someone edited the info

  • +1

was meant for an Asian market. Some cities there banned petrol scooters/bikes and everyone rides electric ones - mostly converts but these new ones are just for that.

  • +2

Breathtaking… It will thrill you… Marketing manager needs to put the pipe down.

  • This would be good for a farm and wouldn't disturb the neighbours.

    • +3

      A flat farm?
How many farms have close neighbors to disturb?

  • You might want to put in that the top speed is 50kph, as this is a glofired moped, not a proper motorbike. You can ride this with a car license.

The MAX edition is being released later this year (or next year) which should have a top speed of 80 or 100kph (not yet finalized, have to wait and see).

      $1000 dollar saving

  • wait till someone bring this on the train

  • Please call it schooler

  • I can only imagine peoples faces when they realise that they have spent 4k on something that is illegal on the roads…

  • Get a bicycle….

this is an ad. no bargain, no prev. rrp stated.

      $1000 dollar saving

      • That was edited in, wasnt there before.

        • +1

nope - it was edited out

  • This seems to sit in a strange place. If i wanted an electric bike to zip around foot traffic i'd buy an e-bike or e-scooter. This model looks as if it is supposed to be a road certified electric motor bike. I'd expect it to have much more power range and speed. Am i missing something?

  • +1

The tyre looks like a G-string.. 50km top speed… That's way worse than a scooter. No deal at 4k.

  • Do we really need electric motorbikes? Just get an electric bicycle for much less in price.
It's not like it makes that big of a difference in terms of the environment. Petrol motorbikes don't contribute that much to c02 pollution anyway.

  • +1

Seems the decent models that can go the speed limit are priced at $5490….

  • This is a bike made specifically for uber.

  • +2

Don't buy it. If you need a motorbike license - you might as well buy something else like a Honda Grom which is going to kill it in range (and of similar pricing).

  • cool looking thing though. would buy to ride on a bike path.

  • +1

Probably still better than all the smelly Deliveroo scooters getting around…

  • How would it hold up in the hot summer.

in before fuel shills, oh wait… Launch video of the Revolt branded version Youtube Link

I just test drove it. It tops out at 70km/hr or more. Not sure where all these reports from the negs on here of 50km/hr are coming from - maybe a speed limited overseas model. I can report that it is unbelievably slow off the mark. I drive an original model Fonzarelli and while I'd describe it as gutless it is so much faster than this one even carrying a passenger. Everything else about it was nice - I just couldn't live with the performance. I'm sure for 4k it would represent good value for someone.

    • mitchger, Sounds like the Dealer has Derestricted it. I would love to know why it only has a Max.Climbing Angle 15°. I Just came back from a Scooter ride on my Daelim S1. It has around 270 km Range and a rode past many Petrol stations. I did not have any Range anxiety :)

    Next gen bikies

  • +3

i like the idea but unfortunately the top speed kills it, i suspect at this price it'll only come with 1 battery which means 80km range, you can add an additional for $1k which brings it up to a very respectable 160km range

but if i were looking to start riding i'd buy a real bike, for the same price you can get a new SWM retro scrambler for 3999, 450cc and fuel injected, not bad on the eyes either

The batteries for these should be hot-swappable, then at least you can have a spare at home on charge while you use the other.

  • Drug Dealers dream vehicle

  • +4

this is not a motorbike, this is pushbike with no pedals and looks of a motorcycle

  • Is this a electric bike or scooter?

    • Closer to being a moped.

  • 50km/h top speed? I've seen e bike go faster than 50km/h on parramatta rd.

On top of that you gotta pay rego just like any other motorbike.

Why not just go for a motorbike?

This thing is severely under powered. I can see something like this catch on in scooter heavy asian countries but not Australia

  • The speed specs are way to low for Sydney CBD and innerwest. Get on Parra Rd or City link and you will struggle. I ride a 125cc and this is the minimum I would consider safe. Sometimes you need the power to get out of potentially dangerous situations which is uncommon on the roads. Also the silence doesn't help. Also at this price point I wouldnt consider it a bargain considering you can pickup a scooter for less.

  • Anyone knows what would be rego and insurance costs?

  • Looks like a death trap.

  • Hmm my $1200 150cc motorbike seems like a MUCH better option. At least it can do 120 km/h and can be filled up in an instant.

For any fuel savings, the $2800 higher price tag means 2000 litres of unleaded = 80,000 kms needed to break even. And that's not even counting the cost of electricity, which is increasing these days.

    Or am I missing something?
