Are you actually creating a new UK ebay account?Or is people logging into co.uk from their Australian ebay accounts and then updating

do you link the new UK ebay account with the old AU ebay linked Paypal account?
I pay eBay UK via my existing AU Paypal account which is also used to pay for items bought on eBay AU
New account with real UK address from somewhere such as a hotel, then add a real shipping address to deliver to in AU.
Use same PayPal and mobile phone number.
It's like you went on a short holiday to the UK.

Ebay Australia doesn't have any sitewides anymore, Ive found Amazon is generally cheaper nower days!! I've reduced my spending dramatically from Ebay since the last financial year!!

I Understand that, but some people keep mentioning that might get cashback from Cashrewards on these gift card offers in previous posts and that is reason I am asking.

Im logged into my UK ebay account and using PayPal to check out, but getting error message 'To buy a gift card, you need an eBay and PayPal account.' anyone else had this problem?

You have to call up Paypal and state that you are trying to make a purchase from ebay UK

This is regardless of the gift card type or value.
Last time I bought only 5 x $50 wish cards.
Usually get that error if you have exceeded your gift cards allowance (5) in the last 10 days.

If you're using the ebay app, in settings, country/region, turn off auto-detect and select United Kingdom. Might have to clear all ebay app data beforehand then re-log in.

What I did differently this time was rang PayPal earlier to let them know I'd tried to place an order on eBay uk, they said the security check was cleared and it should be ok. Fast forward to now and I checked out through PayPal no problems.

FYI I tried 6 but the system knocked me back (using iPhone eBay app).
Please note that you cannot get more than 5 GC every ten days so please MAX out the value of each GC you purchase to make it worthwhile.
